I live Dr. Peck and his entire team. We know longer gave any pets but Dr. Peck saw 4 out of 5 of our beloved dogs. Our last one passed on Nov2 and it was one of the roughest days of our lives. The kindness, compassion, and no worries at all about time we wanted to give our beloved Kane before our final goodbyes. Totally and without doubt highly recommend if you want the best for your pet.

We brought our Giant Schnauzer in to get a second opinion on some blood test results from another clinic. Dr. Curtis was incredibly thorough and explained everything extensively. She took the time to make sure we understood the more complicated aspects of the test results which we’ve never experienced from a Vet before. We are so happy we decided to look for a second opinion, because of the experience we had with Dr. Curtis we have found our new vet! Thank you again for seeing us on short notice!

We have three pets (1 dog, 2 cats) and have been bringing them to Northern MI Veterinary Hospital since we moved to the area. They've provided great care to our critters and have appreciated the extra attention and kindness given when we've had some scares. I also appreciate all they do to help make the animals more comfortable when they're at the vet. My dog actually loves going to the Vet Hospital!

Have been going to NMVH and seeing Dr. Peck for years, also Dr. Mittner on a few occasions. My pup and I have a good and trusted relationship with the drs and all staff members. On my latest visit the ladies at the front desk and vet techs went above and beyond to fit my pup into the schedule to get her testing done. Thanks ladies!

Wasn't expecting much for help with a Chinese water dragon since it's an exotic pet and not many vets see reptiles, but these guys saw him quick and were able to get me the right care and medicine I needed to nurse my little dude back to health. My dragon is doing good, looking healthy and his eye is doing a lot better. I'm very glad I was able to get him in and these guys were awesome. The doctor and his staff did amazing.

I visited Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital yesterday and had a great experience. My kitty developed an eye issue over the holidays, and NMVH found me an appointment right away. Dr. Peck, Kara, and the rest of the staff I encountered were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They helped during a very stressful time for both myself and my kitty, and I left knowing that my cat received the best care possible. I have only great things to say about Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital and will continue to make the 1+ hour drive to see them in the future.

Once again, NMVH has given the most excellent care! They are passionate and compassionate. They take time with pets and parents alike. With patience and skill they have handled everything that we, our 70 lb puppy, and our 19 year old cat could throw at them: from nervous parents to emergency neutering, from high-spirited behaviors to mysterious rashes, from infections to removal of forgiven objects, to arthritis support and caring for the last moments of life. This has been a big year and we are so grateful to have found the fantastic trio of Dr. Mitner, Dr. Peck, and Dr. Durham, along with their caring and knowledgeable team of techs and vet assistants; Leanne, Paige, Amy, Rachel, Leah, and Kelly. I am from out of town and was able to get an urgent care appointment when my dog was sick. The vet and all staff were very polite and did a great job. My dog is nervous at vets and they were so kind to her. Dr. Mittner was great, assessed the problem, did the necessary tests, and prescribed a plan to help my dog feel better. I would definitely recommend this vet to others.

I've been taking my two juvenile bearded dragons here. Every person I've talk to who works here has been extremely friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a question at home they are always quick to give me an answer over the phone or give me a timely call back. They really care about your pet's health. I highly recommend going here for any type of pet. The veterinarians are very knowledge and friendly as well. Your pets are in amazing hands if you go here!

The first experience didn’t go as good as I hoped, however Kara the office manager called me to work the issue out. She set me up with Dr. Durm fairly quickly who did an amazing job. My poor Geckos eyes were looking rough and Dr. Durm took the time to look at her and was able to flush her eyes out and get her to where she is able to see again. He was very knowledgeable and was able to go over any questions and concerns I had. He was absolutely amazing. I 10/10 recommended Dr. Durm. Thank you again I am incredibly grateful.

This is the second time I’ve had to take a reptile in to be seen and each time I have been greeted with such kindness and respect. Just recently (2/26/2022) I had to bring in my silkie bearded dragon in for tail rot and they were so incredibly patient and kind and absolutely loved my little guy Ghost. It’s definitely a drive for me but the amount of kindness and respect both myself and animals get will keep me making that drive because it’s 100% worth it.

We are up north for the week and forgot our dogs medication back home. I called 45 min before they were closing, hoping that they might have the medication in stock. Julie was so helpful and quickly got my prescription filled for us (after 1st checking with our home vet first of course). I was so impressed with how friendly and efficient she was. There are only two veterinarians in northern Michigan who will see birds and Dr. Peck is an excellent option. While he’s not an avian expert, he has so far been able to help us with our birds whenever we need it and knows when to send clients to a specialist. Everyone at this office cares deeply about all of their patients and are very friendly and professional.

I've never taken any of my reptiles to a vet because I never had to. When I got my leopard gecko from someone who was rehoming him, he was in pretty rough shape. He had stuck shed everywhere, he was extremely thin and had some kind of sore on his face. Few weeks later, I find myself looking all over for a vet that handles reptiles as well as dogs and cats. I found myself making an appointment at Northern Michigan Veterinary hospital. When I brought him in, they were very friendly, professional and understanding of the problems at hand. I don't know how long it took for the Dr to come out and talk to me about the problems. She was very professional but also caring of my animals health which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend this vet for anyone who has reptiles. Thank you again for all your help.
