We rented three e-bikes to take on the paved trail between Muskegon and Whitehall. I think it was $50 for two hours per bike. Service was prompt and thorough, the bikes are well-maintained and fully-charged, and we were greeted by the very sweet chocolate lab hanging out in the shop. It was a wetter day, and my mom’s bike didn’t have a rear fender, which neither we nor the business noticed before starting our ride. My mom was quite wet and muddy by the end of the ride, and the business refunded us a small amount to pay for going to a laundromat. We were very impressed and happy with our experience! Thank you, WaterDog! We highly recommend this place for your outdoor adventures.

WaterDog Outfitters is a fantastic place to fill your adventure needs. We were unsure about what kayak would be best for us in the lakes and rivers. Steve and his team are knowledgeable and took their time with us. They let us try out kayaks next-door at their boat launch where we could make an informed decision about what’s best. They guided us through what we would need to know about each kayak and their pros and cons for the water we were paddling. If you are new to the sport or a seasoned veteran, WaterDog Outfitter is the place to go.

These guys are super helpful and knowledgeable. They had the Old Town PDL kayak I had researched in stock. They even held the kayak a few days so I could switch vehicles to bring it home. When I picked it up, they let my wife test out a couple kayaks in the pond and we found the right one for her too! The staff also helped show me the best way to tie down the kayaks on my vehicle! When my son is ready for a new kayak, we will be back!

We have a cabin in the White Lake area and have been frequenting Waterdog for probably 6 or 7 years. It is my favorite place to stop. We've bought bike gear, pickleballs, kayak paddles, apparel, camping gear, even a beautiful branded pottery coffee mug. When we were ready to upgrade one of our kayaks it was a no-brainer where to go. I always like talking to Steve. It is obvious he loves what he does and the community he serves.P.S. Our Crescent Crew is a great kayak!

I recently stopped into this local business to inquire about a kayak for myself. Not knowing much about the recreational sport but knowing I wanted to check it out.. I was approached by a young man that helped me right away. I asked a few questions and he was very knowledgeable and had the answers I was looking for. I was pleased to say the least. He also offered me a test ride on their on-site pond. I happily went for it also being quite nervous about it as I have never kayaked before. He was soon accompanied by another man who assured me that I would be just fine. The helped me into my kayak and guided me through my trial run. I was ecstatic. Paddling around for a bit. I was immediately in love with this. It was exactly what I had wanted. I am in Love with WaterDog Outfitters and bought my kayak that day. I will continue to do business with them and refer them as well. Definitely a full service experience. Thank you all.

Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a kayak. I was in search of a hybrid kayak/canoe to accommodate me and my dog. I contacted them and they had the exact one I was searching for in stock. Tested it out the very same day and it was everything I was told plus some. Glad we made the drive instead of buying online. I drove a couple hours each way to Waterdog Outfitters after seeing them online. They had a kayak I was interested in for my fiance. When we got there we were greeted at the door and had questions answered as we went. They offered to let me demo a kayak that I had no intention of buying since they were already taking one out to the water to let my fiance try it out. We ended up taking both kayaks home. We plan on going back soon to see the new building, the pictures look great. I highly recommend Waterdog Outfitters.

The customer service here is amazing! I live a half hour away and sent a Facebook message to them. They responded instantly letting me know they only had one left of what I was looking for. They put it behind the counter for me until I got there! Then I end up buying something else! I'm going to be stylin now with my hydro flask and Kavu sling bag! Thanks again guys!

Waterdog Outfitters is a great business. I live 4 hrs away. Steve was able to help me over the phone, he even helps items for me (with a deposit) so I drive and picked up my Crescent Kayak. All of the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, patient with my questions, and they even helped me load up the kayak. I bought a bunch of other items because the store has great offerings. I am only sorry I couldn’t find this great of customer service in my area, but now I have a new destination I can goto and stock up on fun stuff! Check them out, near or far, you’ll be glad you did.

I contacted WaterDog Outfitters several weeks ago about a custom Kayak trailer. Over several days, I was in communication with them about the details of this kayak trailer. They took the time to answer all my questions and I felt informed enough to make the decision that this trailer was not for me. Even though I did not purchase the kayak trailer, I can't tell you how pleased I was with the excellent customer service I received. Ordered a kayak in a color that's not stocked. They still applied the discount going on that particular kayak on sale. I didn't expect that with a special order. No shipping charges were added. The nearest competitor has a $150 delivery charge, higher cost for the kayak, no sale prices and a $50 handling fee. About $300 cheaper and could not have had a nicer more helpful crew. I was surprised how much stock they carry for gaining on late in the season. Worth the drive. So nice to have a natural body of water to test in real conditions before I bought it. Also a surprise, being a special order, I wasn't asked to pay upfront or a commitment to buy. You can't beat this customer service.

Excellent kayak shop, we're lucky to have a place like this in West Michigan. The fact that they have access to water next to the shop and allow for a test paddle is HUGE and really sealed the deal for me.I purchased a new Crescent CK1 on 7/31/21 and couldn't be happier with the boat, the guys loaded it right in my truck for me. I'd recommend W.D. to anyone, these guys will treat you right.

Came in to grab some life jackets for kayaking/paddle boarding. They had a good amount of options for those of us wanting more range of motion. I was also happy that they had a few women's and not just universal/men's options. I even noticed they had a few plus size women's vests.The staff was very helpful and even pulled down a kayak so we could sit in and pretend to paddle to see how it felt. Great customer service 👏
