I was looking for a vet that had experience with orthopedic. Dr Paul at Animal Wellness of White Cloud is the orthopedic surgeon there. From the second I walked through the doors,, I was greated by the staff. They were so friendly and awesome. I was taken back to the room where I then met the rest of the staff and the Dr. I was so impressed with these people from the time I walked through the doors and until I left. My precious little Annie( toy poodle? Had a old broken leg and I was at a loss until I met everyone at Animal Wellness of White Cloud. All I kept hearing was amputation 😭.Dr Paul assured me he would not rebrake it or amputate it, (Praise the Lord).So.... My 2 toy poodles will now being going to White Cloud to the new vet. I would highly highly recommend Animal Wellness of White Cloud

They were honest and kind to my Mom and her Rocky. Compassionate and was helpful as they could be for folks with very limited funds. With the instructions and meds given, Rocky is doing better and okay for now. We are very grateful for getting him in on an urgent basis.

I don't like that they have the office show up charge or whatever they call it however now I find out what's taken off the bill it never was before. However again they fit my cat it's just been a client of theirs for years because of location they got him in the same day for any other place told me to go to the emergency room and they called to check on him and the provider messaged me personally to check on things. It's close but I also feel that the workers there really care about these animals

We had an excellent experience that saved my dogs life. We saw Dr. Sam for a follow up after our dog had to go to urgent care in Fruitport. At urgent care they ran labs and did an x-ray. They gave us an uncertain dx of pancreatitis and told us that if our dog worsened we should follow up with our vet. Our dog actually did not worsen, but I felt uncomfortable with this uncertain diagnosis so we followed up with Dr. Sam a couple of days later. He reviewed the medical records from the urgent care and shared his concern that the labs did not correlate to pancreatitis, and upon a physical examination of his abdomen he suggested an ultrasound to have his spleen checked and suggested Cedar Animal Hospital as one of the options. The odd thing is that they also checked his abdomen at the urgent care and made a similar comment as Dr. Sam did about his abdomen being tight and bloated but they never recommended an ultrasound. I called Cedar animal Hospital and they were able to get in for the ultrasound within the week. The ultrasound confirmed that our dog had a large tumor on his spleen, and had to return the following day to get an emergency splenectomy. A biopsy showed that his tumor was hemangiosarcoma cancer. The vet who did the splenectomy shared that this is a very rapidly growing cancer. It is likely that our dog only had it for a few weeks and might’ve only had a few more days to live had Dr. Sam not urgently recommended an ultrasound to have his spleen checked . He likely would’ve passed away from internal bleeding, just like Dr Sam cautioned. Cedar Animal Hospital was fabulous, and it was really great to have them confirm the exact same information Dr. Sam had shared. We are so happy that our guy is on the mend and we will get a little more time with him. Thank you, Dr. Sam!!

I am so grateful and thankful for the staff and care we received. We are newer to the White Cloud area and had our elderly dog go downhill very fast. I called in the morning and was given an appt that same day! Even though we had never been there before! The staff and doctor were wonderful - caring, compassionate, professional, kind and respectful! I will be taking my furry family there from now on, and highly recommend to anyone looking for a down to earth, hometown vet and staff! Thank you for your care!

My 11-year-old cat, Mittens, has been treated by another veterinarian her whole life. She has chronic congestion and despite many office visits, (some complementary, some expensive,) the problem was not permanently resolved. The vet visits were stressful, she’s had multiple shots, blew snot all over, was miserable and slept all the time.Sam is an old friend, who offered care to her. He painstakingly researched her condition, asked questions, and came to me in Mt Pleasant bringing his kit to assess her. He put her on a protocol of Azithromycin, and clean dishes daily and she’s doing great!She doesn’t take medicine well and he even researched medicinal treats for her!I can’t thank Dr. Sam enough. Now she’s feeling better, loving, and playing again. Her quality of life is improved exponentially. I can’t thank him enough for taking care of “Mimi.” Thank you Dr. Sam!!!

My name is Ken Hope and in April of this year (2022) my brother and I adopted a 4-month-old female goldendoodle named Teddy, whom we love very much and kinda spoil her, alot! Not really having much experience with raising a puppy I had a lot of questions and also needed to find a truly caring veterinarian. Through people that I work with who many of them have dogs and cats, The Animal Wellness Center in White cloud Michigan came highly recommended by them. I had called them right away to set up her needed vaccination appointments. We went in for the first time to a staff that was very caring kind and respectful and you could truly tell that they love their job and loved their patients. Through the following 8 months Teddy has had has had a few issues, she had a yeast infection in her ears we took her in and they explained to us what it was and showed us how to use a special ear wash and apply the medication, I really like that you are allowed to be with your puppy during her examinations and treatments, it means a lot to me and my brother and also Teddy because she's very comfortable having things done to her if we're around. Middle of the summer I had called multiple times and spoke to two of the ladies over the phone that work there, Michelle and Penny, Teddy had a pretty bad case of diarrhea and I did not know what to do, I spoke to them they asked me lots of questions I gave them lots of answers and one of the ladies even called me back the next day and asked how Teddy was doing, that was very touching that they did that, the truly caring, kind and respectful staff there are all like this, I've gotten to know them over the past now 8 months and would never go anywhere else, 3 weeks ago we had taken Teddy in to be spayed and I was pretty nervous about that, the staff there had explained a lot to me on her before and aftercare and what should be done with her while she's recovering, everything went very smooth and they took such excellent care of her. I really appreciate everyone there their care is outstanding. Dr Sam is awesome! I can't say enough about the staff and the doctors there at the Animal Wellness Center, if you truly love your pets and want the ultimate care give them a call, I am so glad I did, I truly appreciate everyone of them and I felt the need to write this review so other people if they're looking for a incredibly awesome animal clinic this is the place. They saved BoBo's life and we will forever be grateful. Everyone in the office was caring, compassionate, and very helpful. Dr. Miller acted quickly, while at the same time keeping us calm in a very emotional situation. The communication while Bo was recovering was above and beyond anything I've ever gotten from any veterinarian I've ever been to. I'd recommend this place to anyone! Top notch service. I feel very fortunate to have found this gem of an office! When my dog became very ill Dr. Miller was able to see us on short notice. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and supportive. The surgical care my dog received was top notch! After surgery the incisions looked great and her recovery went very well. The office even called the next day to follow-up and see if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns! Fees are very reasonable for the excellent care that was provided. If you are looking for a highly skilled and honest veterinarian choose Dr. Miller!

A very caring and loving staff. They were all wonderful, and so apologetic when my daughter's cat had to be put down, and then again when mine had to, but he didn't make it to that. He passed away in my arms, right as they came in with the shot. I plan on making them my regular vet, for my inherited, mother's dog, and my daughter's dog.

I absolutely love AWS. I used to use another local vets office, but after an extreme increase in price, we tried Dr. Sam. I've brought so many different animals to him since.They make sure to accommodate my very anxious dog. They don't push unnecessary procedures or tests. They have affordable prices, and give you a financial run down BEFORE they do anything.I recently had an time sensitive scare with one of our dogs. They were able to get us in and give him the care and treatment needed with ZERO run-arounds.The staff was honest, professional, and educated us on what was happening, and what the next steps were.

Do not take your animals here.... took my dog here 2 years ago for a nail trim... got her back and she was all wet ..they said she peed and laid in it... very odd... now she is scarred for life with nail trim... I am convinced they tazed her.... will never take my poor dog there again

The Veterinarians are knowledgeable and the vet assistants/techs are great at explaining things as well. A Vet personally called us back with answers when we called in about a concern. If I could I would give more start a then 5 !!! Dr Sam is amazing , and Dr miller is great too!the staff is all wonderful every one,there is very informative and,take time to answer all questions . I have been taking my animals to Sam for years and am very happy with all the services we have had . Dr Sam is outstanding in any type of medical emergency and is highly intellegent. If there is any odd cases Sam can do excellent he fixed my cat that was sickly before we came to sam, no one could figure it out but coming to Sam was the best thing,I could have done . every one there is so caring we love animal,wellness!

My sweet boy peanut was very sick and the Animal Center of White Cloud got him in right away. They tried their best to save him, gave me all the options and were very informative. Unfortunately my buddy wasn’t getting better and we had to put him down. They all were so compassionate through this hard time. I even received a card a few days later. Highly recommended!!!

At this point, I wouldn't even consider another veterinarian clinic for my dog Fred. Fred's been going there for some years now, and has had to have two surgeries with wonderful outcomes. Dr. Sam and the staff are excellent in professionalism, clinical knowledge, and caring personalities. If you need vet services, Dr. Sam and the crew at Animal Wellness Clinic are the ones you've been looking for. I have no hesitation at all recommending them to my friends and family. My wife was treated very poorly by Missy on 10-21-21. Apparently, I was overly rude to her over the phone regarding charges for services not performed. You bet I was upset!!, who wants to pay for something that was not done!!!!!! Furthermore...what does my wife have to do with MY conversation with Missy?? If Missy was upset with me, I knew nothing of it! We have happily used Dr.Sam and the White Cloud office for over the last 10 years with no trouble, however, if the front desk remains as is, I'm certain there will be more people in my category.... A consumer that is tired of getting hosed and seeking a new vet!!! Many thanks to Nancy for resolving the situation and Dr. Miller for the fine work.

I found a stray cat and this clinic was the closest to me. At first I thought that they were very helpful and professional but once I got the cat home I noticed that where they had to drain an abscess they left a gapping hole close to the size of a quarter in her neck. Unfortunately, the cat ended up passing within 24hrs of me taking her to this clinic. I wish the Dr would have been more honest and just put the cat down when I brought her in instead of having her suffer longer. I would NEVER bring any animal back here.
