Stopped coming here a couple years ago due to buying fish from here and them giving all my tanks ick. Haven’t had problems since. I was curious if they have gotten any better over the years but it’s a sever decline. Dead fish in every tank salt or fresh. The store smells so bad. The water looks very nasty and all of the fish look stressed or dying. This big puffer was floating at the top of the tank for a few hours and the guy didn’t even seem bothered. Would not recommend for any fish owners.

The fish and tanks are not kept up well, and there are so many sick, dying, and dead fish in the tanks. The substrates are dirty, and you can just walk by tanks and see many dead or very sickly clamp finned fish.The whole place smells really rank, as well, because the tanks aren't maintained and their reptiles/small animals are also not maintained.

Lots of tanks, lights in tanks are bad, they don’t clean them often because they don’t care, guy who works there just sits at the counter and does nothing. Went there on 02/27/24, African cichlids tank had 3 large dead fish, the rest were at the top struggling to breathe, told him, he said he did 3 water changes and it didn’t work. What does it matter when you can’t even take the dead fish that were getting fuzzy out. I would say go there and save as many as you can before they die. Salt water display was a disgrace, no lights, bad algae. Owners are lazy and useless. Sell the store to someone who cares you lazy piece of $#|+.

Would not recommend this place. First of all we walked in and were hit with a very bad smell of mold and what I assume is snake piss. On further inspection the fish and reptiles in this store were just under very poor care, I was very upset to see the terrible conditions many of these animals were living in. We could not spend more than 10 minutes in this store due to the extremely bad smell.

Yes, the fish tanks are dirty. I treat this place as a rescue for saltwater fish. I get them out of the bad tank conditions there. I’ve never had one die quickly from there; they acclimate to my better tank conditions and thrive. The prices on supplies are decent.

I do not want to even give this place a star. First off everything is dirty from the tanks to products. He pretends to know things about fish but does not. He told me that my current fish would ok with the new fish and they were not. Brought some fish in for credit and he put them into tanks that you only see in a horror movie. Came back a week later and some had died or were half dead. Every tank has dead fish that have been dead awhile. I honestly do not know how he is still in business. Also sold me product that he stated was the only thing people use now and come to find out it was discontinued. I bout a couple of big items and when I called to tell him one was broke he gave me some made up excuse on why.

Something fishy is a bad pet store I have bought from there for a really long time but then when I have an actual pet like a baby bearded dragon, he has gotten sick and then I found out that somethings fishy gets their pets sick and doesn’t even feed them so when you buy a baby bearded dragon, you will already be getting it sick. Somethings fishy is a really bad pet store and they give false information. They will say and they told me to not feed my baby bearded dragon, anything live, but their diet is supposed to be 80% live. Animals. And I believe I could fix that baby bearded dragon something fishy sells their pets, sick already sick. I believe that somethings fishy should not be a pet store as I said, they give false information treat their animals badly and does not feed them, barely at all, so I recommend not to buy a baby bearded dragon from that place.

Big selection of fresh and salt water fish. I've been there a few times over the last couple months and have noticed dead fish on multiple occasions. The place is small and dirty. When I went today it looks like they finally cleaned some tanks and didn't see any dead fish. They are over priced on all supplies. They do not take good care of the small animals. They are in really small containers.Update: 8/7/19The tanks look a lot cleaner and haven't seen any dead fish lately.

Sick or dead fish in MANY tanks 😢I'd understand if they were busy and could not attend to them at that moment, however one pictured is completely covered... that would take a couple days.The man up front was on what looked like a small tablet.Please just hire a young person to help the fish.. I stopped looking after I saw their treatment.

They have a decent selection, but some of the tanks look pretty sketchy. Dead fish, lights don't work, I'm not sure what to think about the place. The guy was very nice and I heard him talking with other customers, seemed knowledgeable. I don't think I would buy a fish from there, though. I'd be nervous it may bring sickness to my aquarium.

Something Fishy is my least favorite Pet Shop ever, the owner is incredibly rude and is completely clueless of how to maintain any of the animals he’s housing. On my first visit there were baby bearded dragons with obviously MBD that were practically drowning in a pool of water. On this visit we saw an entire assortment of things the most awful being this Axolotl tank… one with its tail eaten, one missing a leg and the far left appearing to me at first to be a tiger salamander larvae but when I asked the incredibly rude owner he said two things. “They don’t morph and 79.99” there were also beta fish sitting on the shelf still in the bags they ship in which is absolutely appalling to see. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Large selection of fish. The employee was very helpful picking out the fish I wanted. My fish are all healthy, and I will be going back there for some live plants soon.

Clean fish tanks and a wide variety of fresh and saltwater fish. I have a bearded dragon, and they sell me 5 dozen crickets for $5. Can’t beat that! Owners are very informative about their fish. Highly recommend a visit here!

Desperately needed help with my 35 gallon tank in my office. I could not keep a fish alive for more than a few hours. He recommended what to do what fish to buy and how to keep it clean. we now have a beautiful tank in our office with lots of living fish!

Horrific is the only word I can describe.Empty tanks and awful living conditions for every animal in the place.3 foot zebra moray just rotting away in the tank. Zero customers and the guy just running back and forth through the store ignoring everything. This is a situation where the police need to get involved. My heart is broken and I walked out the instant I got to the livestock decaying in the tanks. For days or weeks.

The staff here are always friendly and knowledgeable - I've bought everything from mollies, to shrimp, to puffers from them and received the best advice on how to care for them. If I ever encounter a problem with one of my tanks, the staff has an answer or finds one for me. The price of the fish is reasonable, though the equipment can be a bit pricey. They even carry feeder mice/rats etc. which is a huge plus for my animals. Definitely recommend, and stop in often myself.

This is a real nice tropical fish store. Marine fish as well. Knowledgeable staff provides great service. In fact, this is the only tropical fish store that I'll shop at.

I come in regularly for refills on RO water since they are the cheapest, and I enjoy their variety of different items for different animal types but that is as far as I can compliment it.I am one to find customer service an important part of whether I am willing to go back and in this regard they lack emensly. They are quick to help but this is only true if there is no other customers in the building. I get pretty lack luster greetings almost every time, like they make it clear they don't want me there. This wouldn't bother me much if they paid attention to social cues or acted as though the customer existed after paying, but they don't. After purchasing about 8 gallons of water spread across two large containers this employee literally vanishes the second he hands me my card. I don't even get a "Have a good day." before I am left alone to make multiple trips to my car. As a cashier I would have never done this to a customer, at least offering the chance to help. Mind you the guy never asked me if I needed help at any point. Once I came home I was greeted with a dead insect in one of the filled containers, which I know wasn't there when I handed it to the guy. Since it was clear as day to me when I took even a second to look I wouldn't doubt he knew it was in there and just didn't care. I have never felt more disrespected before and it is a great deterrent for any future purchases, considering the lack of customers and a no regulars beside myself I suspect others have been treated like such as well. It doesn't help that I have been blatantly lied to on multiple occassions on even big ticket items, which doesn't make me want to ask for advice. I shouldn't go to a store that sells living animals that clearly promotes such a lack of regard for them once they are out of their hands, willing to send them to their doom by promoting faulty items.Because of all of this I treat them like I treat every major pet store. I buy things I've already researched and make small purchases. Looking but not purchasing any living animals. This saddens me given they are a small store and shouldn't have these issues.

I get all my fish here they are always friendly I love it I had a orange puffer fish that lived for about a year and a half I was happy on how long he lived he resonitly passed but I have another fish mango and I love him thank u for all the fish help I needed to start my fish lifestyle!! Hope I see ya soon to get another!!

This is one of the nastiest, un-kepted dirtiest, dark pet shops I've ever been in. The fish are un-kept water is everywhere on the floor thick water hose are in the aisles anyone can trip over. Gnats are everywhere in that place. Some of the fish have ick. You have to bring them home and quarantine them. I can go on and on about this dirty place. The only thing a person should go in there and purchase is aquarium if they have that, things that are packaged up, things that are bottled up, etc.. if humans were going in there to eat out of there, the Board of Health was shut them down. But do not be dismayed that you won't catch some type of airborne virus out of that place. All I can say is never again. I'll give my money to a pet shop that take care of their pets and take care of the shop itself. I would not even feed my fish those type of feeder fish that they have in there cause they're un-kept

All the fish I bought from this store has died. All my other fish are still with me. I would not shop here. They had dead lizards and turtles when you walk in the door. I wouldn’t even feed my snake their mice. Not recommended I figured out why I never been in there. Their fish are not well kept.

****This location is a review of the Amazon Hub counter only.Recently moved to the area and had some packages delivered here. Store is located conveniently off of Wayne Rd(near Palmer)behind the 7-11. Was greeted by the store employee who promptly found my packages, scanned them, handed me my orders and I was on my way. Smell like a fish/exotic pet store so be prepared if that is not an aroma you particularly enjoy.
