Love, love, LOVE Hometown Pets! My GSD puppy struggled with allergies so severe that he not only was losing hair, he was also losing weight rapidly. I found a very slim selection of dog food that my puppy was able to eat, however I couldn't find a store that carried it. I called Hometown Pets, spoke with the owner - explained my dogs allergy situation and asked her to order me a very particular brand of dog food, she ordered it that same week, had that very next week - I now get all of my pet supplies from Hometown Pets. Although I have to admit, if you go into the store - go in with a blindfold because she ALWAYS has sales going and they're ALWAYS too good to walk away from.

I've never been here except for today. I was in the area and stopped in in a whim and it was very pleasant. Super clean store and the lady behind the counter was really nice. They have alot of dog and cat stuff and I was more after the reptile side of things but I guess some dog treats will suffice for now. Definetly a little hidden gem. the kitties in the window were really cute too though I'm not sure if they are up for adoption.

Don’t do business with them. The owner Karen is very stubborn, rude and has a bad attitude. Wanted to get a refund, or an exchange and she flatly refused. Bought a dog toy there that lasted only 3 days and owner lied and said the toy was strong and it would last a long time. Also the prices there are way too high

When I went to my dog’s grooming place today, I found a newly opened pet supply store next to it. I bought two dog clothes and a nutrient calcium for $60.00. The same product is $3.00 more expensive than Amazon or Chewy. Of course, their choices here are relatively new compared to other pet supply stores, and the styles are relat.

Very nice store! Me and my pup love to shop there. They have a great variety of treats, chews and toys to spoil your baby. My old guy is extremely shy and the ladies spend time making him feel welcome and safe. By the end of our visit he’s allowing pets and taking treats! This pet store is a great addition to the neighborhood💕🐾🐾

Nice store that has everything! Karen was so helpful finding what I needed for my new puppy. This is a hidden gem in Westland and woman owned. My puppy loves going in here. We get all his food and treats here.

Drove by one day and decided to give it a try. They have a lot to select from, including dust baths for smaller animals (which can be tough to find in stores).The owner is really kind and helpful. I plan to go here more for pet supplies.

Place is very understanding. I had to purchase a cone for my pup and she did not end up needing it.And of course forgot my receipt and the lady remembered me. She allowed me to return the cone with no problem. Very appreciative that she did that.

I just found this little gem. I will be buying all my goodies here from now on.The staff is wonderful and very helpful.It's not too big and not too small. Easy to search for what you need.They have supplies for birds, Fish, cats and dogs.I think the prices are fair. I got 3 bags of treats, 2 nice toys and a bully stick for $36.She hasn't put the bully stick down and she loves the toys.If you haven't been, put it on your list. Support your local mom & pop shops! Your animals will thank you 😊

Stopped by for the first time wanting to change up our dog’s food. He’s had belly aches. I could not be happier with the service we received. I believe the owner was working. She was extremely knowledgeable and did not hesitate to help me with my questions. We will continue to shop here for all of our pet needs.

I stopped in today to get some treats and chews for my dogs. Great selection of dog toys, treats, chews, and dog food. My dogs eat Merrick food and I was glad to find a local store that has their favorite kind! Thank you so much for or taking time to help me pick out some great options for my newly toothless pupper. They are already begging me for the ice cream!

Lady went out of her way to get my minature schnazer her Hill's Science diet sensitive stomach can dog food. Plus she's going to order her dry dog food. This way I don't have to waste time & gas driving to pet store in Canton. Petco in Westland doesn't carry it anymore. Thank you. Thank you.

I finally found this place. Why was it so hard? There is a huge yellow sign and it's the corner store! But, I found it and I'm glad I did. The people are super friendly, the store is clean and well stocked and the prices are great. I love to shop the independently owned stores, and this one is just the best. I would love to give it 10 stars!

Just came in to get a cat bed and the women working here were super friendly and helpful. I told them I was helping take care of a stray and they even offered me a discount. Store is super clean and well organized. Definitely will come back and highly recommend them!
