The store is clean. The older women possible manager is Rude everytime I go in there because I find sales and coupon. Today was the tip of the ice Burge she refused to sell me my pop at discount price becuz she didn't want to do 2 transaction. I feel they purposely keep self checkout down so have to go through a person. Need to get rid of people if they dnt like their jobs.

Went to go get my pickup and Manager lied and said I never placed an online pickup when my card had been charged. They somehow cancelled my order and said that I cancelled it. I guess the just pick and choose who’s pickup order they wanna do, I don’t know how this store has good reviews at all

1st time having a horrible experience. But I normally don't shop at this location. I was in area. Manager Andre just rude. Don't purchase products if you not sure. According to manager you can't return products from other Dollar General stores 🙄.

Kathy is rude, obnoxious and lack customer service skills. My experience has truly been unpleasant. I would enter the store and if she is up near the register she would stare, not saying anything just stare. To make matters worst if I'm near the food aisle I turn around and she's right there staring. I don't steal and never have but she would always make me feel very uncomfortable. If you ask a question about a product or something she seems to have an attitude. Then there is a young lady there I forgot to get her name but she told my son "Do not touch anything if your not going to buy it", I was blown away because I have never heard her say that to any other kids. He wasn't being destructive or anything like that. As this employee was bagging my items she was putting so much in one bag that the bags started to tear. I started putting some of my items other bags. Kathy came over to the register as if I was doing something wrong and just stood there and stared at me. She stared so much her and the cashier that we just stood there staring for a minute and then she realized and tried to redeem herself by complimenting my mask.I called the next day to find out how to file a complaint and Kathy knew who I was. It's not like we had a disagreement or got into an argument but that goes to show that she knew she was very unprofessional. I will travel further to receive better customer service, not worth spending another dime of my money in that store.

The customer service was terrible. One of the cashiers, treated me like a criminal. When I gave her my cash, she checked my $50 bill like 3 or 4 times, marked the money, then checked again(felt like 15 times)! I didn't say anything, just looked at her in disbelief. I had more problems from her, but this one took the cake! I will never come here again!

My husband and I were shopping at the Dollar General on Middlebelt and Ann Arbor Trail on Tuesday 5/14 at approximately 8:30. I noticed a woman in her mid 80's at the counter checking out. When I heard the cashier ask her what was going on and why she was making the purchase she was. At first I thought that was a kind of rude question to ask until I realized the woman had about 20 google gift cards on the counter. I don't know what the value on the cards were, but the cashier was very adamant that something was wrong. The older woman quietly told the cashier that someone was forcing her to buy the cards. At that point the cashier told her she was not letting her leave the store and was calling the police. I would like to give a shout out to that cashier. Well done! It is people like her that make this a great neighborhood to live in. Thank you for protecting our elders. Becky OBrien

Today I walk in this location looking for headphones. I walk to the head phones on the wall to take a look at them and Jessica the cashier then stated that I couldn’t be back there. This was a honest mistake didn’t know I couldn’t be. So I waited until she was done with the customer in line. When she came over I asked are those the only Bluetooth headphones she had she stated i don’t know unless there are more by there other headphones. So I then asked her to grab the headphones I was looking at she said “ You should have grabbed them when you were back here.” This was stated with so much attitude. I stated the reason I didn’t grab them is because I was unsure of if those were the only kind they had back there. She grabbed them with a attitude and handed them to me. I tossed them on the counter and asked for her name and walked out. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at dollar general. However everyone allways talks about the horrible service they get at this location. This experience completely ruined my evening.

If you would like to be disrespected this is the perfect place to come. Asking these Two women with extremely terrible attitudes a question will tick something in them. Terrible customer service., anger management classes should be their next routine.

Can find most things. Like all DG stores not enough help to stock shelves and get the carts off the floor and out of the aisles. Don't clutter aisles with carts when they can't be handled within an hour.

They keep firing the entire staff. It's no wonder. I'm hovered over watched like a thief if I don't go in, grab an item, and leave within 5min. Sometimes, I may be weird, but I do like to shop around especially having a kid to buy for. They've made me clean up entire messes from an accident because it's not their job, I've been nearly locked out because I went to grab one, ONE item by the counter, and they closed in 20 min. Then they locked the door after I spent 2min. If you don't close at 9, but by 830/845 then say so.

I absolutely love this store, it has some of the best staff ever. I also feel like a family member, the moment I enter the store. Clean, neat and friendly. I pass 3 other dollar generals to go to this store

Been shopping there for 30 months and it is always a nightmare. Weirdo employees, terrible hygiene and lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I will never step foot in that store again so rude.

The store was quite messy but it was nice that it was a larger store than most. the cashier at the front was absolutely amazing she was sweet and had great customer service. I would go back.

Would give 4 stars, but I wanted to buy two Alcohol bottles. One for me and one for another family member. Lady that works there acted as if she was the Alcohol police. I mean two bottles isn't much compared to what I have seen others buy.

Kathy is awful. I came in for 9 cases of pop (in order to get the deal running that states I need to spend more than $20 in Pepsi products for my discount) and she told me I couldn't buy more than 6 despite there being no limit on the sign, no regulation staying she can make that call, and no actual reason other than "because i said so". Don't shop here. She's rude beyond belief

The staff is very nice the prices are always cheap although Dollar Tree is cheaper but the quality is a little better at Dollar General also they have two for a dollar burritos which I find very cool I highly recommend.

I have never been disrespected in front of my 4 year old daughter like I have from the cashier boy at this dollar general. Worst place to ever shop at. I'll never bring my family again.

I live in the area and a frequent DG shopper. Very seldom do African American patrons get a greeting when entering and exiting but they speak to every single WHITE cust. Yesterday was my last straw. .Contacting corporate.
