My stepmother and sister and her husband stopped Friday on way to Manistee to get some steaks, they had porterhouse and t bones on sale. They bought 2 porterhouse and 1new York strip. Called us to tell us about the sale. So we stopped and got 3 porterhouse 2 t bones and 1 ribeye. Ribeye was full price. Stepmother asked if they would be good till Saturday girl said yes. She went to cook hers yesterday and it smelled bad so she didn't eat hers. My sister had the new york strip and paid full price was put in bag with old porterhouse and when cooked both steaks made them sick. I called to see if I could return the 3 porterhouse and 2 t bones and use the money to buy 5 fresh steaks and they refused saying sold as is. So we got stuck with $53.00 worth of worthless meat. Don't buy from these people.

The employees didn't come off real friendly at first, but I pulled up in a Porsche truck, hopped out with UGG boots, a Glock on my hip, and running shorts. In a foot of snow. That's not the normal vibe for this area.The place has everything you could need in the area, and some great prices on some great looking meat. I don't eat it, so can't speak to quality, but looked like some nice pieces. Prices a bit high on normal sundries, bit ragged place, and some things with mega long shelf lives were close. Parmesan cheese has a huge shelf life, and theirs wasn't too far off.So this is the best place around here! I recommend it! But it's an average to subpar experience when it's not the ONLY place to go. Heck, their chicken foot taxidermy is almost worth another star. It would be a 5* if they sold it to me. . . Hint ;)(Seriously, it isn't for sale. I asked lol)

I have been coming to M-55 Market just for the fresh meat that they offer and a few other specialty items I can't get elsewhere After my experience with one employee at the meat counter, I will never return to buy meat again! Durning any other visit the meat counter employees went above and beyound to provide excellent service! It only takes one bad experience to make a customer not want to return, especially when one of the owner's now knows what occured and has no problem with how their employee's laziness and ignorance/rudeness has ended the business that I give to them weekly by spending a few hundred dollars on meat alone.I must say that the young lady at the front counter certainly did provided excellent customer as one should and she also properly handled my situation after I brought it to her attention, by telling me when the owners would be available to speak with over the phone.A additional note for the owner I spoke with, it would have been so easy for your employee "Stacy" to easily lift the top layer as you always have a liner separating the layers, same could have been done with the second layer as there were only 3 layers on the tray. (Your other meat counter employees have done this numerous times and they always have said "oh I will gladly look for you, it is no trouble at all, because the layers are easy to lift off"(glad you as a owner looked, hours after the incident and your only response was there weren't anymore anyways, proves to me you were made aware that I was not happy with the customer service that was provided. It is also wonderful to know that you defend your employees, ignorance/rudeness)Glad I only spent just under $90 on my last ever visit to your store, l and not my approximate $400-$500 I usually spend roughly every 2 weeks.

Love to purchase fresh cut meat at a very good price. Small store with a lot to offer except smiles the 2 female employees did not act like they wanted to be there let alone help us and felt like they wanted us to buy and leave no time to shop.

Great Store. Meat is outstanding! Prices are really good and the people are very nice. We stop just about every Sunday on our way home to pick up some meat for the week. Shopping local and supporting small businesses like this is the right thing to do. I would recommend M55 Market to anyone who wants good meat,good prices, and great service.

Today, I Stumbled into this quaint family owned meat market and grocery store through my business travels. Immediately, I was friendly greeted by the owners. Fresh meat & cheese. They have a little of everything so if you forgot a wine opener, can opener, Mac n cheese to beer. They have it 😁 They don't price gouge you either, great prices, kind, fun, & knowledgeable staff.

Ive been going to this store for yrs. Always had amazing pizza. I go there today, and the man working was wearing dirty clothes and smelled terrible. Also pizza was burnt and looked nothing like it used to. Instead of up selling and offering to cook another pizza he was rude a said that's all I have.

So, becareful buying meats here. This woman did not wash her hands, did not put on gloves and did not wash inbetween getting us meats. All the meats in the case have been cross contaminated. Also on two other stops here we bought chicken. Never will i buy chicken from there again. It was rotten, slimy. They claim they sell 40#+ OF CHICKEN a day,THERE IS NO WAY WITH THE MEAT BEING THAT ROTTEN. Smh. Calling the owner here in a bit and speaking with him. This is unacceptable! We will no longer be stopping in here. Dublin store opens soon! Thats where i would go. Do not go to this market!

We have a cabin nearby. Dublin General Store is closer, but has burned down. So, we go to M55 market. I'm impressed with the quality of meat from there. They have cheeses, and all the basics you'd need without having to drive to Manistee Meijer. The prices are a bit higher than a big box store, but the convenience and friendliness makes up for it. Love to help support the small mom and pop shops. Will be a return customer for a long time. Last night we bought Babyback Ribs there and they were much better than large chain stores sell.

I have been shopping there for 27 years and it's worth your time to stop in and shop here! Best fresh meat, friendly workers! Same owners since I have lived here! They stand behind their porducts and buy local seasonal vegtables from local farms when available!

Awesome stop for meat to grill steaks and chicken are incredible at reasonable prices not too bad. Small selection yet effective enough. Small selection of pantry items as well as foshing items.

Boyfriend went up there to make a purchase, forgot his wallet, went back and the woman working locked the door. He tapped on the window and she ignored him. So he went up the road to another store. The owner of m 55 follwed my boyfriend, nearly ram him over, continued to follow him all the way home. Upon entering our drive way he got put of hos vehicle and peoceeded to scream 2 centimeters away from my boyfriends face, threatened to kill him and refused to leave the property. The man claimed that my boyfriend was destroying property and harrassing his employees and the cops were on the way. The cops never showed up. This guy is a d- bag. The store is filthy.(following comments based on reviews else where) The meat will make you sick and their shelf items are outdated.
