Its completely chaotic in the store im rather skinny yet I have to squeeze sideways throughout the store. Nothing is stocked its just thrown on top the shelf. It used to be a pleasant place to go but yeah not anymore

I come here alot because it is close to my house. I just walked out of your store after a good 30 minutes of shopping.. The whole time I was shopping Cat, your employee was on the phone and talking loud enough, I know she has reached her goal of 135. Fine. Im not at the counter at that point. But once I reached register she continued her conversation, evening taking time while ringing up my order to write down her appointment for Feb 10th I beleive it was. To have not had a conversation with her until, I explained that her behavior was rude, I have to much information on her life. I understand we all have personal lives but thats what personal time is for. And rather than simply apologize she told me it was her life her coach and she had to be on phone. I don't know about your policies. But that is not what I pay my employees to do. They get unpaid breaks for that or days off. Disappointed.

2 nights in a row bad experience with this store.first night manager on duty wasn't running register so no till open had to get employee from the bathroom who appeared to be doing lines in the bathroom and complained she was only in there a minute but it was a while n she saw us waiting to be rung up. Second night employees were running around kicking out customers at 9:50 telling us they're closing soon. We understood that and planned on being out but thought it was pretty rude.

Not well stocked. I only shop here when i am short on time because it's close.Edited 7 months after initial review: original review still stands true...but the store has gotten worse. It's almost impossible to shop because there are boxes in every asile blocking the inventory on the shelves.

They are located near Yankee Springs Campground and they carry a wider variety of food than most Dollar General stores. I was quite impressed when I went into this store. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were cheerfully greeted when ever we would enter the store.

Alot more friendlier then the other variety store on the other side of gun lake it starts with an f and that have treated me badly since I moved here 4 years ago. Thank you for treating me like a human being Dollar general. We love you.

Great items... the store is very well kept and clean I will add that the signal inside the store is non-existent. Also to add they have very great customer service from the time I walked in the store until the time I left

Always short staffed it seems. Usually have unpacked stock in rows and can't get a cart through so I just get a basket. Always dirty. Gun Lake DG is much nicer

Strange man was in line ahead of me. He had been talking with the cashier for quite some time about various conspiracy theories, but he was wearing a mask and maintaining respectful social distancing. I gained a little perspective as well...

Theres not mmuch to says. Its dollar general. They either have what you want or not. Prices are fair for the most part. Service is normal. Stores are clean and set up pretty much the same, which is nice if you fo to different locations.

Nice store usually great customer service but...the red haired lady with silly pony tails is rude and very unfriendly. Have experienced her snapping at customers and other employees 😮

Prices are the lowest around when it comes to buying cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love DG!

Well there's 2 stores here in allegan mi. So 1 store has more food n non food items but the 2nd store has more clothing in it! So either store I go into I get gd deals!!! So it's a win win situation for me!!! N if ur like me w pinching ur pennies together u can get really really awesome deals, so u get alot for not that much money!!! So u break under from which u were thinking... it's n awesome feeling to know u have come out on top!!!

This store was nice and clean and organized I use to work for Dollar general and there are very few stores that look as good as this one anymore. I live in Middleville but this location will be my go to store from now on.

Nice to have this store where it is, needed bad in area.Wish it was a little bigger of coarse and carried everything I may need, but still glad to have store in area, saves us a lot of miles.

Place is always a mess. Its the companies fault not the employees. They get barely enough hours to cover registers let alone keep the store stocked and clean.

THE MANAGER IS VERY RUDE TO WORKERS..THEY CLOSE THE STORE WHEREVER MISTY DONT WANT TO WORK, PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLEANED..I GOT HURT AT WORK AND SHE STILL WANTS ME TO HAUL REAL HEAVY BOXES THREW THE STORE, THEY CHANGE THE SCEDUALE ALL THE TIME WITHOUT WARNING THE EMPLOYEES, THEY NEED NEW MANAGEMENT, OR JUST CLOSE THAT STORE..SHE FIRED ME FOR BEING HURT ON THE JOB...REALLY
