Checkout workers are VERY slow, so there’s always a long line. Workers are always rude as well. At checkout during our last visit they said they were a bag-less store *which isn’t posted anywhere on the doors or anywhere else for customers to see* and we had a bunch of small glass items and we basically had to beg for them to even give us newspaper to wrap them in. Just never have a good experience going in here. Also the prices seem like they’ve doubled compared to other salvation army’s and goodwills.

I have been donating to The Salvation Army for decades now. Only to go in the store and find the items that were donated marked up 35% higher than retail prices. These people are criminals and no one should donate to them because they are not doing anything to help. The community all they're doing is stealing people's money

I frequent Salvation Armys quite a bit, this one has nice staff and good selection but so many people go through a day almost everything of value such as collectors items are picked clean by mid week.Other thing is this salvation army is significantly more expensive than some of the other ones I go to, I'd say in average expect stuff to be about 30-40% more expensive than a less popular Salvation army.Still aside I have found some good finds as a Uranium Glass collector here, though much rarer than some other stores.

I used to come here when I didn't have much money when I was little to be able to afford clothing and small little items, but now they're charging way too much for most things and it's really upsetting. Nearly everything is being put up front and being charged more for.On top of how much they charge they can't even fix the AC?? That's hard to believe. Maybe use some of that extra money you guys are making and use it for something that actually needs to be fixed.

Shopping at the 30 mile store near Romeo used to be fun. The prices have doubled (and sometimes tripled) for what is DONATED!I have had conversations with other shoppers who also see this. I actually picked up an item that had the SA sticker price of $12.99 and turned it over to see the original brand new price of $14.99! For that, I’ll buy it new. Not sure I want to continue donating to this store, or shopping there! The manager is also very unfriendly there.

I went shopping here a few weeks ago for a new set of scrubs & some winter clothing. The prices are the same as the brand new clothing you would find in the local Target store. I use to enjoy shopping here for USED clothing that I could enjoy. Will not be coming back.

Rating the donation Center.I went to donate few items today: small electric appliances such as an air humidifier, a bread machine, a foot spa , an electric stove top , a waffle toaster but also a hardwood floor pneumatic nailer , a Runco overhead projector that needed a new bulb , a Denon video/audio receiver, a JVC DVD player, A cast iron skillet for BBQ and garden ticki torch lights; lump sum retail price over 500 dollars. Everything neatly packed in the original box with styrofoam protection. All items minimally or never used.The bad experience started when the employee rudely told me he could only take 2 boxes, no toys, no books. Then he shouted through my open window to pull up the car because the car in front just finished unloading and he was too lazy to take the two extra steps distance from my car to the receiving goods pallet.After looking the neath goods he announced that I was lucky and he would have taken everything. Let’s just pause for a second and think it over:I’m driving 15 miles donating to you 500 + dollars of goods and ‘ I am the lucky one ?’ Either the world is changing or this guy’s brain is set up backward.Finished downloading he closes the rear lift gate without a greeting nor a thank you.What a bad attitude.Next time I have something to donate I’ll go to others charity organizations.

This is my favorite Salvation Army location by far. I've found some real treasures here, including a $6 silver plated hair piece that I polished to wear on my wedding day. I would go here every week given the chance.

Nice, clean store with polite employees. I hate how clothing is sorted by color and not by size. Having to sort through every piece of clothing is frustrating. Prices are a bit high.

Great, LARGE, clean selection of clothing. Everything is very organized and appealing to the eye unlike a lot of thrift stores. The selection is nice but the prices are a bit high.

Daily sales, manager specials that change every day, you can't beat it! They support a worthy cause and I appreciate that they STILL close on Sundays like a traditional Christian store.

EXTREMELY RUDE EMPLOYEES! Specifically AMYShe had an extreme attitude when helping me not acknowledging when I said hello just because she was upset someone went on lunch and she had to stay . That’s not my problem and you don’t have to let it out on customers. If you really hate your job that much please do others a favor and quit .Youre making your store look bad .

The store is so clean and organized! I love the jewelry counter, probably the most organized one I've ever seen in a Salvation Army! They have a special store calendar with deals and daily deals that always make it worth the time to drive out to Washington if you aren't in the area! Staff is friendly. Each time I go back I always find name brand stuff in the front of the store which I love! Overall the store is amazing and I encourage anyone to check it out!

Friendly staff! They obviously love their job, as I have been here a few times now, and they are always helpful and work as a team, whatever is being done. Donation center has excellent customer service- they greet you, unload your vehicle, quickly and efficiently, smiling all the while! I was very impressed! And that is why I go there! Store is clean and well organized too!

Wouldn't go again. It's been a very long time since I've been in Salvation army as there aren't any close. Man. This store was junky. Not really anything good or worthwhile hunting through. Made a quick pass throygh and left . The Chick-fil-A Mac and cheese on the shelf shows they're not really looking through and keeping things tidy.

You have to have time to browse. Definitely not a store to go in if you're rushed. With patience, you can find some treasures at amazing prices. The staff is always very polite. Store can look chaotic at times, as the staff struggles to restock shelves correctly, mostly because customers don't put things back where they belong.

I like going to the Romeo salvation Army family store. I was a little disappointed that I was told in the past that they no longer were using the S.A.F.S. red bag for discounts. Then find out today that they still are, that they are just not selling the bags anymore . I spend a good amount when I come in and any discount is a plus. Will I come back? Sure I will, just had to vent on this one. 🤨

I have been coming her for 10 years. Used to be a great store but now there is this rude lady that works there that puts away clothes. She blocks off the entire back of the store with her racks and is very rude. She will go right up to where you are looking and move you out of the way to put clothes back without saying excuse me. She acts as if I am inconveniencing her by shopping at the store. Sometimes all she does is complain about her work loudly for all to hear. I ignored all of this for some time but now it is not even fun to come here anymore. When talking with my friends and family they knew exactly who I was talking about. If she hates her job that much, maybe she should find something that will make her more happy because I now refuse to shop at this location.

Far less of a bargain than it used to be. Apparently the management is trying to up the profits on donated goods. When the resale price of stuff approaches the "new in box" price it's time to take a walk. Store staff is always friendly though. EDIT 4/21. Would not accept my furniture donation calling it "broken" (it wasn't....just had random scratches). Same quality/condition in the store, but I guess the dock help didn't feel like unloading it. Not the first time they didn't want to accept our donations of "acceptable items" per their signage but definitely the last time we will bring donations here. I guess taking free stuff and selling it at 100% profit isn't part of their business model any more.

Just moved to Romeo and found this store,so far everyone has been nice and great ecperience. Found some good clothes for my husband and son. And a cheap dresser yesterday. Will be going back soon.

Love this store, but manager was very short and snappy answers yesterday. Went again today and had to pull out my teacher ID and insurance card. She still questioned my teacher badge. I wasn’t told I needed to provide a paycheck. This is ridiculous!

I was so surprised and disappointed in the way an employee by the registers talked to me on Saturday, August 13. My daughter and I shop here every week, but not anymore. I knew they were closing in 10 minutes but I forgot about a birthday party the next day at 11:00 am. I work retail myself for over 20 years, and I know how it is for someone to walk in 10 minutes before closing. There is a right way to handle it, and a very rude way to handle it. She decides to do it a very rude and embarrassing way to me and my daughter. I was running from the parking lot knowing I had only 5 minutes to look through the toy sections. Which by the way, are in the front of the store, right by the registers, in baskets on top of the girls clothes area. So this employee decides to only call me out directly and say, in front of a lot of customers in line, "You know mam we do close in 5 minutes," in a very rude way. I want to stress to the management here at Salvation Army that there is a nicer way to tell your customers you are closing, and THAT IS NOT to call out someone individually. Just announce over your intercom, Hello customers, we would like you to bring your final selection to register at this time. We will be closing in 10 minutes. I felt she was rude a second time, by announcing over intercom, "if you do not have your final purchases brought up to the register by 9pm, you cannot buy it!" Wow, this is NOT a professional way to speak to your customers!!! I hope you can find a nicer way to announce you are closing to your customers to not embarrass them or make them feel uncomfortable!!! Also, for how many people still in your store 10 minutes before closing, please change your website information it does say til 10pm. Maybe some customers saw that!!

I always find great clothes.my husband needed khaki pants and my 6 year old daughter wanted a cute butterfly tshirt. I didn't buy anything for me because we basically came at closing time so we were in a rush because we dont like the workers to suffer staying longer. I have respect plus there is always an excuse to go back a different day.

Clean and wide variety of items to purchase. The musical selection playing was unique and the prices of items were cheaper today due to the sale of 25% off on regular priced items and 50% off the tan tags. I was able to purchase several plus sized clothing items that were current un fashion and not worn out.

I am a former store worker. I was saddened to see the electronics dept, which I used to be over, in such disarray. No ribboning, shelves in product mix. There was no kind of order at all. However with the current moral at a new time high it's understandable.

I've tried to shop here twice. Both times I was told that I couldn't shop without a mask. I'm medically exempt and had my service dog with me. Even after explaining my disability, with a note from my doctor, which legally I should not have to do, stating medically exempt is all I should have to do, they still turned me away. I've had no issues at any other salvation army. For supposedly being a charity, this location is NOT disability friendly!!!

I've been coming here for years and for at least 2 years now I've had a problem with an employee named "Lisa". Everytime I'm there she invades my personal space and sometimes even pushes me just to hang something up. I've noticed she even goes as far as following me around almost as if she thinks I'm gonna steal? She even yells at people if they touch clothes a way she doesn't "like". This has been happening for over a year and because she never wears her name tag I never knew her name. It wasn't until today when an employee yelled her name that I knew what it was. Based on conversations with other customers, we aren't the only ones having this issue with Lisa
