Our go to groomer for our Australian Shepherd Boone. Dani has been grooming him since he was a puppy. Calvin our senior dog always comes home happy and handsome. They go on Saturday for their holiday grooming. They come home with bandanas on and smelling so good.

Had my first experience here today and I’m so pleased! We brought our cocker spaniel Hera in for grooming.I wanted to start with a big thank you - the roads were terrible and my husband was running late dropping Hera off, but they were more than understanding. I was so appreciative, especially since I felt awful for being late to our first appointment and would have rescheduled if need be…but they made it work!Everyone I spoke to was friendly, the communication was great, and they did a wonderful job on her cut! I will definitely be back.

EDITED to respond--Look at these two pics / one looks fully groomed with an added loving touch- and one looks like he just got out of jail -can you tell which one? Pretty easy to see …I was looking for a groomer closer to home after moving up this way- Although I absolutely love my old groomer and was going to them for several years, I was open to possibly finding a more convenient location. I was definitely disappointed. Initially the appointment setting, and the discussion I had w/ the person who set the appointment, was very nice but unfortunately the rest of the experience went downhill. The dog was “cleaned” that’s about it. No care was taken w/ the cut whatsoever. My sweet lhasapoo just needs a little extra patience w/ brushing but has been groomed all his life and is sweet as can be. Rather than soft and fluffy(even if on the shorter side ) he was uneven and didn’t even have any special touches whatsoever. It looked rushed and they were kinda cold. So disappointing. I should’ve never considered anyone else other than continuing to go to the one I’ve been going to for many years. I was just hoping to maybe find someone closer, but now I know better and will drive the extra few miles. After $100 (Update:I’m sorry $91??- with the tip that we were kind enough to give you after the bad cut. My fur baby is definitely not looking fully groomed.. I do not believe you took your time AT ALL. AND definitely don’t think his teeth were brushed AND usually he is blown out softly- does he look soft and even to you in that pic? Additionally, I actually THANKED you for finding the first and EVER tick I’ve ever had on my dog- At NO point did I say you were a liar ?? Just because I asked if maybe it was mole ?? Or because I was shocked as it’s NEVER happened-I was upset about the tick and when I got the pic of him at work - I was even more upset. I mean look at him! WHEN you were calling -I called you RIGHT back immediately and explained I was a healthcare worker and was with a patient in that moment -and I apologized . I explained I had literally spoken to someone and told them he just needed a full groom and fluffy as possible - but it was totally ok to cut if needed. You were standoffish and told me he was too matted (he had been groomed 1 month prior) my thought is maybe you didn’t want to take your time it’s that simple -I told the appointment setter everything she asked So maybe I’m not the one with communication problem? I wasn’t asking for miracles just a full service groom. When I spoke to you on the phone you were very standoffish despite my apologies for any possible misunderstanding. For the record, my husband was dropping him off because I was called into work at the hospital - I was confident after speaking to the person I scheduled with that you would actually know what to do. Finding a tick has nothing to do with a bad rushed cut - his ears aren’t even symmetrical -finding a tick has nothing to do w/ taking your time with the actual cut. As you can see the second pic with the bandana is how you know they take their time (courtesy of my old groomer who I plan to keep now for sure!)and the chop job in the first pic shows me they did not take their time AT all at this place. Paid same and slightly less at my old place. Luckily it’ll grow back and my old groomer can even him out. And this place wasnt even friendly to a first time client who would’ve definitely been back under any other circumstances! The kindness and communication is not lacking on my end. You are right though the pics don’t lie as we can see below- Believe me I’m also sad. I felt your annoyance on the phone for not knowing exactly what you wanted me to say - I’ve never ever had this experience anywhere else. Your entire response deflecting on the tick as if that justifies the hatchet job along w/ the other poor reviews I initially missed when deciding to try you guys shows all anyone needs to know - (still ) don’t recommend.

Very kind staff and easy online scheduling process. The woman, Dani, who did my new pup George’s first cut was so helpful. She spoke with me at length about his experience and gave some great advice and tips. She was very clearly just a dog lover at heart, and I appreciate that a ton. Plus, little George looked, felt, and smelled great!Our other dog, Louis, had a traumatic experience as a pup at a different groomers, so now, three years later, he is a bit harder to handle - even at home when we try to brush him. George has let us bathe and brush him at home, so I am thankful Best Fur Breeds was gentle with him. Even though Louis gave the groomer at Best Fur Breeds a tougher time about them cutting around his legs and paws, they showed me some techniques I can do at home to make it more familiar to him what they do. No groomer has ever helped us with that! I highly recommend!!Also also —- very, very fair prices! Comparative to where we used to live (Ferndale), this business is much more reasonably priced.

I’m very picky and best fur breeds has met all of my expectations. From reception to the end everything has been fabulous. I have had 3 different groomers and all have been amazing. Diana is amazing but sometimes I forget to book in advance and she gets booked up so when my dog needs a last minute grooming, I ask for whoever can get her in. This past time she had Rach and she did an amazing job from head to toe. Super impressed. This place doesn’t have your dog sitting there for hours waiting to be groomed. Highly recommend!!

We take both of our cats, and our 17 year old Brussels Griffon to Best Fur Breeds. Our animals love going to have their "spa" day and always come home relaxed and looking fantastic. Thankfully its almost spring so our Brussels can get a mohawk again finally! (Diana always does such a great job with the specialty cuts) From the bathers, to the groomers everyone always does an excellent job, and we know our animals are loved and treated like family.

We found this groomer in 2023 and this is the 3rd time we’ve had our 100lb golden doodle groomed with Ms. Katie - she is amazing!!! The way she cares for him and the final look is always like a fresh pup! I couldn’t believe how long his grooming blow outs last. He no longer gets matting and I feel like I’m only brushing his tail out now for maintenance.

So happy with my experience. I'm fostering a handsome prince cat and I'm his 2nd foster placement. I noticed immediately his nails were long and sharp (the last foster was unable or maybe didn't know to trim his nails) but he would get fussy any time I've touched his paws and nip at me. Brought him here and he was unhappy but made it through. So thankful- I don't want him to hate me or have to be placed in an only pet home for fostering while he waits to be adopted. He's 1 year old but still has "crazy kitten energy" lol.

I brought my Bichon to this groomers. This is my first time using Best Fur Breeds services and I was shocked at how bad my Bichon looked. First of all, I had to give them a $30 deposit over the phone. Second, the groomer we had does not know how to cut a Bichon. I usually take him to PetSmart and I have never had this problem before. This dog was groomed in early June. I do not brush him as well as I should, so I usually expect his body to be short. However, the groomer cut off all the hair on his little head and it is very uneven. I'm sure this groomer is not bad for all breeds but I would not take a Bichon to this groomer again.

They’re rushed and didn’t do a good job on my poor fur baby. He looks like he was just released on Parole with that haircut. I would recommend finding a place that takes their time and doesn’t leave them looking like a junkie mug shot. He went in a gentlemen and came out on meth.. My cocker spaniel now apparently needs to go to rehab.

I seriously love this place and their staff! They work so well with my dog (a Saint Bernard). She feels comfortable and safe with them. If you have a dog who is not fond of other dogs, you can call in advance and they can put your dog in their own room. Plus, my dog comes out looking like a million bucks for such an affordable price!!

I do not recommend this place at all. We have a sweet 11lb golden doodle who needs extra patience when it comes to brushing her hair. Today about an hour after dropping my pup off I was called and told they would have to shave my dog based on how badly matted she was. She said they were so close to the skin and were very tight. I said absolutely not and went to pick her up.When I picked her up the groomer and the “manager” proceeded to tell me that if my dogs mats got any worse it could split her skin open and they tried me make me feel like I didn’t know how to care for my dog (who is a very healthy happy pup). I came home and used a pet detangling spray and a grooming brush & comb meant for doodle hair.There was 1 mat on her neck area I was able to remove with a short blunt end pair of scissors. The rest of the so called mats I was able to very easily comb out with the spray and patience. Not only were the mats not tight and close to her skin there was only one mat and some tangling, which I was able to comb out.This place has previously groomed my dog and they shaved her down to her skin. My dog trembled for 3 weeks after the appointment. We have been keeping up with her appointments and brushing in between. I have since learned it is very traumatic for a dog to have its hair shaved all off. Their policy on shaving dogs based on a few “mats” is cruel to the animal. They clearly want to take the easy way out by shaving and not taking the time to actually groom a dog.We will no longer give this place our business. If you own a dog who has higher maintenance hair/fur I suggest that you go somewhere else. Their lack of grooming experience and customer service skills are evident and should not be able to groom dogs who need a little extra attention on their type of fur.My dog is brushed out, mat free and was able to keep her beautiful hair! Shame on them!

Love love love this place. We have 3 small Tibetan Spaniels who are only 1 year old. Still getting used to new people. The groomers at best fur breeds made me feel very comfortable leaving my puppies there and did a wonderful job! They trimmed the long areas and took care of the nails. They look amazing! Would highly recommend. Angela is the original groomer who brought me there. However I had 2 different ladies last time and they did awesome! For the price and people you can't beat Best Fur Breeds.

Have been bringing my furbabies to Best Fur Breeds since the mid nineties. Of course through the years there have been different groomers, but for more than ten years Diana has been "our girl". Making an appointment is easy, the location is convenient and the cost is reasonable. Sherry is a wonderful owner, the groomers and staff are stellar. They are caring, compassionate, kind and professional.. I highly recommend Best Fur Breeds and would not take my Lily anywhere else. She had a spa day yesterday and is absolutely stunning.
