I recently stopped in and picked up a prime rib and it turned out fantastic! The quality of the meat was excellent, and it made for a delicious meal. Overall, it was a fantastic shopping experience, and I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Throughly enjoyed the Italian sub, pasta salad, green salad, veggie & fruit trays plus the amazing cupcakes my son and DIL ordered for my grandson’s birthday party. Everything was delicious! Will definitely order again.

I absolutely love this place and the people running the place and working there. Quality service. Feels like shopping at friends. Over the last few weeks I had shepherds pie made and a roast for Xmas. Delicious and priced right. If you never tried this place…. Please do!!

Exceptional service. My mother has been coming here since the 60's and things havnt changed. Friendly, personable, and a great deli. Special shout out to Kyle, just for being so genuine. Went to this store, found moldy food that was generally overpriced. Lots of bugs. Older male employees were looking at the female shoppers and female employees like pieces of meat. General feedback: gross.

Amazing store super friendly staff and people are always super sweet there they have an amazing selection of stuff! They have cleaning stuff they have really anything you would expect a normal grocery store to have a great place to stop and they have amazing bumpy cake!

I adore this little grocery. I've eaten enough cheeseburgers and fries for a lifetime. Since I discovered the food here I've stopped fast food. The deli offers an excellent selection of delicious food ready to go. The staff is helpful and friendly. I will continue to shop here for years to come.

Absolutely love this store. Smaller in size but has a great deli counter and excellent meat & seafood. And they carry some products that you may not find at grocery chains. They are always so very kind. They are truly a gem of a store.

I stop by when I am in the area dropping my grandson off. Good selection & deli, just need to ensure I check expiration dates, especially that of produce and fruits as I have unknowingly bought outdated products before. I haven't been compelled to comment, but last evening gave me a new perspective. I did need a few things and had to watch my grandson a little longer this evening but was able to make it there at 8:50pm, 10 minutes before closing. I walked in, everything is fine and as I am in the produce a clerk approaches me and walks by, I head to the dairy and meat and pick a few things (I was trying to rush). Then when I got to the drinks, clerk walks by me again - a guess a nod to make me shop quicker and that I need to get out and this is about 8:56 or so. Then the lights go off at 8:57pm. Great I can hardly see now and work towards the cashier (the owner) forgetting a few things I sorely needed. They start pulling the flaps over the produce, dairy, coolers and all await me at the front. The store is supposed to close at 9pm but they want me the hell out. I got out at 8:58pm according to my cellphone clock and date stamp of the receipt. As soon as I walked out, all the store lights shut down (8:59), but not as I heard the owner mutter something as I walked out (and it may not have been about this though I heard him say something like let's shut it down now. Never had a problem with this store before, exception to the previously mentioned outdated food, which I never returned anyways. I thought this to be rude and very unfriendly. Very likely will NOT return after many shopping visits to Penny Lake but what was the point of the owner/manager in doing this? If your store is advertised to be open until 9pm, stay open until 9pm! If you need to close earlier, then close earlier, but don't do this to your customers. There is a Freshway just down off Maple, east of Pontiac Trail, been there before and very clean and friendly, will give it a try. Not a lot of local grocers anymore and that area is void any markets close by.

Every time I go to Penny Lake Market, I am treated well and the staff is super friendly. The meat/butcher department has quality meats and good prices. Their house made chicken salad is FANTASTIC!

I love shopping here. Meat department and deli is great, good selection of produce, and I love the "family business" feel of the place. They're always polite to me, recognize me, and the kind man behind the meat counter always makes sure to have marrow bones in stock for my doggo. They will always have my business, and I'd much rather support a small business than a franchise. Keep up the good work, guys!

Penny Lake is AWESOME. They have a great alcohol selection. The deli area has really nice, fresh cuts of meat. The Mexicali dip is addictive. Their fruits and vegetables are fresh. They also have some really good deals on chocolate milk from time to time. The staff is really friendly and if I could shop here for everything, I would. I prefer it to the grocery store when applicable.

The store has changed owner ship but the product selections have not changed. The meat counter is great and I've purchased several steaks and the quality is still wonderful. They are working on produce dept but the prices are in line with big box stores. The staff is friendly and helpful. I like the fact that the store is small I don't always want to stand on line for just a small purchase. Support local stores.

Ive been here several times for a number of different things. Great deli selection featuring Boar's Head meats. A very large selection of fresh produce for a store this size. Staff is friendly and helpful. They carry seasonal items like flowers and firewood as well. Good selection of beer, wine, and spirits.

Great small grocery store. If you just need something quick, or don't want the hassle of the big chains, this place is great. Park right outside the door. Selection is not as big as large chains obviously, but usually good enough for anything I am cooking that night. They also have an large deli/meat/salad counter. The do have prepared foods as well. Staff is excellent. If you wander around looking there is always someone asking what you are looking for. If they don't stock it, they will tell you next time they will. Sure enough next trip back they were carrying it again (La Fiesta Chips). Owner and son (I am guessing) always great and accommodating.

Always the freshest produce and unique products. The only store in town that I can buy No Salt potato and tortilla chips. Until now I had to bake them myself. Thanks to all friendly staff too.

Decent selection of food/drinks, & large deli. Produce section is on the small size, but the whole place is on the small size so it balances out. Staff are always nice/helpful! And I'm all about a Spartan Store :)

Very helpful staff! I was heading to the gym and asked an obscure question if they happen to carry any gym locker locks. The guy behind the counter told me they didn't sell them but that he would look in his office and if he found one that I could have it free of charge. After 5 minutes of searching, I told him that I appreciated him looking but that it was okay if he couldn't find one.You don't find many business owners go out of their way to help a customer with items they don't carry. The customer service was much appreciated!

Lots of friendly faces in here every time I go. The salsa and hummus they make in house is the best around! I like that they don't price gouge like a lot of smaller grocers tend to do. Great place

I often buy their many fantastic products but the dill dip I buy weekly does not have enough dill in it. It costs me extra because I have to buy additional dill to mix in. I sure with they would fix this problem so I can continue to buy it there. Otherwise I’ll have to go somewhere else. Thanks!

It's walking distance from me at least, it's very convenient for just small things. The other day I needed an apple juice and that was all and I was having trouble, and a worker came out cuz I was standing looking for like 10 minuets and he come and asked if I needed help. Every time im there, they are all very friendly, it has great service. I love it!!
