Long time Farmer in the Dell customer here.Ordered the tin roof sundae. The new ice cream they're using now, is more like ice, instead of cream, it's horrible. The chocolate syrup was horrible. I would highly urge the new owner, to go back to the original ice cream and toppings the previous owners used. I won't be coming back until then.Best regards,Jack J.

Absolutely the slowest place on earth. You could milk a cow and make ice cream by the time they wait on you. Definitely don't recommend. Reply to the owner: reviews are designed for people to know what to expect, if you don't want a bad review fix the issue. It's pretty easy!

Coming here since I was a kid. Honestly about the best soft you're going to find anywhere in Michigan. Creamy and delicious!! I'd recommend the lemon custard and if there are any banana pudding fans out there you have to get the Banana Heaven flurry it's absolutely delicious!! They also have lots of regular food items like sandwiches and hot dogs as well!! You can't go wrong here!

The ice cream is good but the manager/owner could be more respectful to the customers, especially those who come before closing. They shouldn't receive attitude when they are paying customers and they wanted to come at the last minute and your business closes earlier than other ice cream shops or food establishments in the area. If they come at before closing and they are the last one... What's the big deal? They are paying to keep your doors open, when so many other places have struggled these past two years... Disappointed by management.

Oh this place is an absolute Gem! If you're looking for a place with a family friendly atmosphere to let the kids run and play and enjoy a nice dessert, or even have lunch, I definitely recommend! Their strawberry shortcake sundaes are pricey and small, but for the location and space for the kids to exhaust some of that energy, it's worth it! Oh and did I mention that they have unicorn sundaes for the kids that are super cheap?! Oh my, that makes the overpricing of my sundae so much more worth it!

My parents always took me and my sister here when we were little. I loved coming here. I remember when it shut down. I was disappointed that my favorite ice cream place would be gone. A few years ago it opened back up and I was so exited. It’s even better now. They have a HUGE variety of flavors. It’s a little overwhelming, but it’s still the same old farmer in the dell that I’ve always loved.

They overcharge you and hope you dont notice. They dont have a cash register or calculator - the employee taking your order scribbles on a note pad and makes up the total or miscalculates it. Who in this age and time does not use a calculator??? They dont give any receipts and are CASH ONLY. I asked for a receipt and they just jotted down the total on a piece of paper. When I got back home and looked at the prices online and recalculated it, I realized I was overcharged! SCAMMERS! Plus the girl employee who handed out the ice cream at pick up window was rude.

The reason for the 4 is that they have to many choices. Ones sound really good and are not. They have great ice cream and great staff. The menu of ice cream is to much. I have ordered many different items that sound great only to be disappointed.

Great little ice cream shop. Many, many flavors of soft serve ice cream, about 10 flavors of hand dipped. Was easy to find a flavor we liked though. Nice shaded sitting area.

Local ice cream places are always better than chain stores. Farmer in the Dell is iconic for both its looks and for its quality. It was always a favorite special treat as a kid so it holds nostalgic appeal for me as well - as I'm sure it does for others.
