Nice spot located on a busy road! Outdoor or indoor seating. We were seated right away and our waiter was nice and attentive. Clean space, good atmosphere! Not a lot of variety for vegetarians so I ordered the pizza salad and had the spinach dip for appetizer. Portion was large! It was good however the spinach dip was very oily and chips weren’t the greatest. I would probably come back and give this place another shot!

Really nice place on the road, we stopped by to have dinner going from Detroit to Chicago.I love the style of the Place :)We were sitting at the bar, the waitress was really nice, she suggested to me the slow cooked pork with ham and cheese inside, it was delicious! My boyfriend tried the fish, suggested by some locals sitting next to us, and he was not disappointed :).The place is next to the lake so the fish is fresh. Also the potato puree was super good and tasty. If you are nearby I would really recommend this place!

We loved this place and now understand why they are always so busy! We started with the buffalo cauliflower, and let me tell you it was WONDERFUL! Their sauce is an incredible combination of spicy and sweet, and the fresh crispy light breading was just perfect. My wife had the oven fried cod, and while I am sure their tartar sauce is good as the menu said, it was completely unnecessary. The fish was cooked perfectly and the delicate garlic flavor was just excellent. I had the broiled whitefish, and woah Nelly was my mouth happy about it! Again, perfectly cooked and the caramelized Parmesan crust was divine with the delicate flavor of the fish! Our server was quite busy and even more friendly. It is a family place, so there was the expected amount of background noise made by excited or overly tired children of all ages, but that doesn’t bother us at all. Strongly recommend this place, and also that you go early or be ready to wait. If you must wait, though, it’s worth it!

Based on previous reviews I had some very high hopes going into Red Arrow Roadhouse… Unfortunately in regards to the food, it very much underdelivered for my fiancé and I. The ribs were below average, while I love vinegar, they had a very.. strange v-based sauce almost as if it was a certain Kroger brand sauce. Which hey is fine, just not for the price. The fish was alright, made no mention of black beans so keep that in mind.Overall service great. Food extremely below average.

On the open road of life, nestled in the heart of Union Pier, there's a beacon, an oasis - the Red Arrow Roadhouse. Just like the beats of yesteryears, pulsing with the rhythm of a different era, the Roadhouse thrums with life, teeming with souls seeking solace in good food and company. It’s always alive, bustling, echoing the vibes of the beats that roamed free, telling tales of cities and dreams. The wait? Ah, the wait is but a testament to its legacy, and like any good journey, it's always worth the pause. The staff - the true heartbeats of this joint - wear their smiles like the sun, warming your very essence, every gesture a dance of welcoming delight. The food, ah! The food. The blue cheese potato chips crackled like the stories from the road, while the turkey manhattan soared high like the tales from exotic lands. Meatloaf, grounding and hearty, echoed the grounded wisdom of those who've tread before, and the enchiladas, they swirled with the passion and fire of the very spirit of the road.Amidst the symphony of clinking dishes and buzzing conversations, Kandace stood out, not just as a server, but as a guiding star of our evening. With the grace of a seasoned traveler and the enthusiasm of someone discovering the world for the first time, she navigated our journey through the menu, making recommendations with a sparkle in her eye.One thing’s for sure, like the nomads of the pages, we too shall return. For the Red Arrow Roadhouse isn’t just a pit stop; it's a chapter in our story.

What a stupid little hole in the wall!! They have no business selling their food and drink for the prices they charge! They have 3 entrances that basically meet up together for a traffic jam. Then you wait on the "porch", which is really a garage, until you get seated. Once seated, you are so crammed in there's barely room to move. The bathrooms are one stall, and there's always a line. The mixed drinks we got were undrinkable!! My friend got a Jamaican coffee, that was ALL rum. It was terrible! I could smell it across the table. I told her to tell the waiter and get something else, so we did, but still got charged for it($9). The food was good, but not great. No way they should charge $18 for one pork chop with french fries, or Mac and cheese with some meat on it. Total bill $80 and some change. Total experience 2/10 stars. Not good!!!!!

After spending the day at the dunes this was a great stop nearby. Mahi tacos stuffed with plenty of Mahi, great drink selection and sandwiches stuffed with meat. Very friendly staff and plenty of seating options from outdoor, screened in porch and traditional dining. The menu had tons of good choices so we will be back as are regular stop when visiting the dunes!

Great food and service here. Glad we stopped by and checked it out. Service was friendly and fast. Good selection of food and drinks to choose from. Ribs were falling off the bone and very tender and delicious. French Onion soup was prepared very well, nice crisp to the cheese. Will stop by next time we come through the area for sure!

I had the cavatappi pasta and it was delicious!! Worth every penny. 4 stars for atmosphere bc of the tables so close together. Guess there’s nothing they can do about a small restaurant.. but the drinks, food, and staff are 10/10! Highly suggestParking: If the parking lot is overflowing there’s extra in the coffee shop that’s closed after 5. If it looks packed keep driving and walk a little if you’re able to.Kid-friendliness: Leave your kids at home! Not saying it’s not kid friendly but it is loud and tight seating. Definitely looks like a place grown ups can enjoy without crying and food thrown all over.Wheelchair accessibility: Not easily wheelchair accessible

The House-Made Blue Cheese Potato Chips were delicious. I'm not a big blue cheese fan, but the flavor combination was awesome and I loved them.I had the Pot Roast Beef Dip. The roasted garlic aioli made the sandwich perfect and set it apart from other beef dip sandwiches. My friend had the Homemade Chicken Enchiladas Verde. The verde sauce was the real deal. I didn't taste her rice and beans and forgot to ask how they were.We are definitely going back!

My family and I spent New Year’s in a cabin not to far from Red Arrow Roadhouse so we decided to grab a bite for dinner one night. This place was packed! Everyone wanted to be here and for good reason. The food was great and the staff was very attentive even during the dining rush. Great spot!

Dinner was worth the 2 hour drive alone. The Rib Mac and Pot Roast sandwich were outstanding, the service was awesome, and their heated patio was a comfortable spot for a lovely meal. I can see why this place was packed and the locals come here multiple times a week.

Reviews during COViD-19: I am adjusting my reviews to reflect those new services/added value/safety measures that restaurants are taking to serve their clients.Fist of all, Red Arrow has hands down the best food among restaurants in Union Pier and New Buffalo. Their Key Lime Pie is an exact replica of the one you would get in the actual Florida Keys where it was invented.Service is quick (20 minutes), they offer a curve side pick up option only, where a friendly staff member brings you the food to your car. You can prepay or pay on site. Staff wears masks and keeps a safe distance. My only suggestion would be to add an online ordering system since the only way to place orders at the moment is by phone.Fall update: as amazing as always, Red Arrow has the perfect winter dishes. You can’t go wrong with any of them!!! ….and hard apple cider, anyone?

I've been coming here for years. This time, I had the sliders as my meal and they were PHENOMENALLY good - perfectly proportioned little cheeseburgers with a burger-sized pickle on each one!My dining partner had the ribs and seemed to enjoy them.Definitely recommended. The place can get busy on the weekends, but there is plenty of parking and seating, so the wait usually isn't terrible (if there is one), especially for smaller parties.
