They have a lot of pet stuff here!! I can get dog food, aquarium fish, and live worms for my reptiles. They have a huge selection of dog clothing and jerseys!! Over the summer I even purchased Pride bikinis for my dogs!!! They even have dog necklaces for the pampered pooches!! I was in and out pretty quick. It is never very crowded.

Got my neice a female guinea pig there over a year ago and she's happy and healthy. Neko is her name and she brings loads of joy to our family.

Grabbed some nice birthday presents for my pup. I wish they still carried carob chips in the self-serve bins. My girl loves those! And they are the perfect size for training.

I would like to thank the staff who worked last night (3/22/24) !! I had a aquarium emergency (mine cracked) , at 8:49pm I called the store after doing some searching online & they ANSWERED (while closing at 9pm) checked to see if they had what I found online in stock in store , heard my panic and offered to bring it to the register , I got there at about 8:58 , was able to cash out and another employee helped me get it into my vehicle !!! So THANK YOU !

My rating is 0 stars!I placed an order for a bag of dog food and they cancelled the order on me, AFTER I had already claimed my FREE bag of dog food and other rewards! I called the store and spoke to the cashier Jayden who said there is nothing she could do for me. She proceeded to get the manger Taylor on the phone. I then proceed to explain my concern on the rewards that I applied to my order. Her response was “call corporate, nothing they can do at store level.” Then she hung up on me. So I called back and no one answered, and CALLED BACK AGAIN to be hung up on AGAIN!I went to the location to get the dog food and that’s when I noticed the flavor I ordered was ACTUALLY in stock.I took this to the register where Taylor and Jayden were at.Taylor then blamed a cashier for “not looking for the right flavor” her response was “You need to call corporate”I got my bag of dog food and proceeded to call corporate in the parking lot. I got connected to representative Brianna, who didn’t even acknowledge my frustration on this.I waited a few hours and called back to finally get it escalated to a “Supervisor “ who told me there is nothing they can do at corporate level. That she will escalate this to the “district manager”Needless to say the customer service at store level and corporate level is below par.At this point being a value member here means nothing!Time to find a new place to spend my hard earned money!

We were buying a small aquarium and a new beta beta fish. We didn't know anything about what exactly we needed. The staff person Aaron answered every single question we had about the process of setting it up, what water treatment we needed, what to feed and how often etc. He is very knowledgeable and passionate.We appreciate his helpfulness, he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to give our new fish, Affina, the best aquatic environment to live in.

Colton was extremely patient and helpful when I was buying a fish and aquarium for my daughter. He was very knowledgeable about the whole process. He took his time to help me pick out all of the accessories while telling me how to care for the fish and aquarium. Thank you!

I am looking for a local pet needs place, but Petco will do for now. They are super friendly and fast and we purchased both of our guinea pigs there approximately three years ago. It’s great if you can’t find local.Petco is consistent and predictable, which all customers want. I find that the food and the bedding is always available when we need it.

I took my dog to get her rabies vaccine and vet visits are so stressful for my pup, but the Vetco team was so patient and sweet to both of us it made getting shots a breeze! Thanks so much!

We love Kaitlin ❤️ My dog absolutely adores her. She takes her time. She will not do anything if it will stress my dog out to much. Kaitlin is the groomer you want for your beloved dog. We love the salon but will only see Kaitlin. (No offense to the other great people there) Kaitlin just has the special touch with my dog that can't be taught! Thank you Kaitlin, you rock!

I took my dog for rabie vaccination. After the vaccination, they were going to send me the vaccination report to my email. However, I waited several hours and I did not receive the report. I called the office and waited at least 20 minutes to talk to somebody. They revised all my contact information including my email address and I would receive the report in a few minutes. I waited another one hour and I did not receive any report. I called them again and asked them the problem and wanted to talk to the manager and agent made me to wait at leased 15 minutes and the agent hung up the phone. Again I called the office and reported the incidence and agent said that manager would call me in a few hours and I still did not receive any call. I called the office again and agent checked my email and It was wrong and corrected it. All my personal information was sent different email address and they made me very vulnerable. Now , I do not know how to correct their mistake!!

Moved to the area a couple weeks ago and have been used to using PetSmart. Figured I would give Petco a try. No issues until walking towards the register with the pup. Another dog was approaching so mine went to say hello. We were immediately reprimanded by an employee who informed me they are not allowed to meet in the store. While I understand this is for liability or training reasons, this silly rule is off-putting. I've never had this issue at any other pet store, and while I know my bad review will not change a multi-million dollar company's rule, this makes me feel better by ranting.

Most of the petcos near me are closed, and was rather suprised to find one open in troyStore was just as i rember...Slightly dindgy and overwhelming with the amount of large displaysAnimals were taken care of, so thats a plus, and have alot of rescue animals...

Went to Petco in Troy last night and gave them $200 and I wasn't paying attention because I was downloading the app and my bill came up to $114 and some change I didn't realize that the girl named Jasmine didn't give my all of my money she only gave me $6.55 back the moral of this story is to pay attention, this dang phone 😑 will throw you off of your game I called them and the manager Brian said that I gave her $120 and I know I didn't I'm so mad.

A few weeks back I went in for some new aquarium stuff and a few mollies. Aaron in aquatics was awesome! He knows what he’s about with those fish. It’s a joy to run into a fellow enthusiast in a retail environment. We discussed my tank stocking plan and I really appreciated his knowledgeable input, humour, and friendly demeanour.

Everything well stocked and employees were around to answer questions and help find items if needed. Prices were inline with online retailers.Petco helps rescue animals and adopt them out. There were 4 adorable kittens available! ❤️

The service and food were good. The only thing that bothered a tad bit was the "seat yourself" the place is large and it seemed that it took a server more time identifying that we were new customers. When we finally did come over things were great 👍🏿

The customer service I received today was so awful I left in tears. My 1 year golden retriever was scheduled to get to get a grooming today at 2pm. I received a text saying I could come at 11:30am instead and I accepted. When I got there, Carol was the only groomer on duty. She didn’t even greet me when I walked in. She had a nasty attitude as we went over my dogs history. This is his first grooming so no, he hasn’t had his nails clipped, hasn’t been in a kennel for 3 hours, hasn’t been shaved, nothing. He’s pretty much still a puppy. He is the sweetest soul ever. She said she would try her best to work with him and do what she should. I hadn’t even walked to my car yet when I received a call from her saying she wouldn’t groom him because she couldn’t get him in the kennel. She said we could reschedule on a day when she had some help. She knew what type of dog she was grooming 2 weeks ago. This should have been planned and you should not have accepted to cut my dog if you couldn’t handle it. I am thankful now that she cancelled because my sweet puppy deserves the best. You are pathetic Carol, and if you can’t provide good customer service and care for customers dogs then you shouldn’t be working here. I am a long term customer here and I don’t think I would be back after this. I wouldn’t trust you with my dog for 5 minutes.

I have been trying to take my dogs to this vaccination clinic for months it seems at this point. My regular vet is booked out because of covid, so I thought we could get in for shots at petco. This has been a nightmare, and I would have scheduled their shots somewhere else had I known every appointment I’ve made would be cancelled.

I cannot say enough about the staff at this place. Always making sure we're taken care of and they're quite knowledgeable as well. We usually go in as a family and the kids really like the fish tanks.

Took my dog in for grooming, the tech did an awful job. She had an attitude with me as soon as I walked in and pretty clearly wasn't very gentle with the dogs there. I didn't catch her name, but she had long gray hair. Won't be going back
