I highly recommend Tulamar Kennels. Tulamar has an extra large kennel for very large dogs. My dog is 155 pounds and the kennel is perfect her. She's been to other places with barely any room for her to even turn around. Heather is accustom to handling large dogs and does very well with Belle.The kennels are clean and dogs have an opportunity to go outside into a fenced area directly from their kennel. Heather and Kayla are both very accommodating and friendly.

Don’t bring your doodles for grooming!!! I brought my Sophie for her first haircut and they just did a horrible job :( It doesn’t look like a goldendoodle’s haircut. They said she was amazing during her haircut so it wasn’t her fault.

Tulamar Kennel has been an incredible find for us! Our dog Clark can be a bit challenging with strangers / new people, so we’re rarely able to board him or send him to day care as many kennels don’t understand how to interact with challenging dogs. But the staff at Tulamar understand exactly what he needs and how to care for him. We are so grateful to them and will absolutely use them again!

My pups are not great with other dogs, and in their 5 1/2 years have never had to be kenneled before this past week. To say I was nervous to leave them is an understatement. But, I could not have been more pleased!! When I picked them up, I could tell they had fallen in love with Heather and her staff. And most importantly they were so obviously well cared for. I will be using them again and I would recommend to anyone!!

I am absolutely amazed by the staff and ownership of this outstanding facility. We rescued our two boys at different points during the pandemic and each of them have had their challenges. My rat terrier was in a very abusive situation which made him respond with fear and aggression when encountering unfamiliar situations. We worked diligently with him to heal him from the trauma and Tulamar played a big role in that healing. Kayla and Heather spent time getting him familiar with the facility and the grooming tools and their patience has paid off in spades. Now, nearly two years later, he is excited to go to Tulamar for a grooming or for a longer stay! His journey has been inspiring to see, and I truly believe that Tulamar's patience and care toward their animals has helped in that transformation. About a year after we adopted our rattie, JoJo, we found his brother, Milo, a King Charles/Pom mix who was not socialized at all and led a very solitary life with his owner before she went to a nursing home. Milo was a younger dog, and bringing him to Tulamar helped with his much needed socialization. Kayla grooms him so well, and I am convinced that a well groomed dog is more confident (I mean--I know how much more confident I feel after a haircut :)). It is important to surround your dogs with caregivers who feel the same sort of affinity toward them that you feel. Tulamar's staff treat my dogs as if they were their own dogs. The kennel has heated floors and offers plenty of opportunity for play and exercise. The grooming is professional and affordable. I highly recommend taking your animals to Tulamar for both your boarding and grooming needs!

Heather and staff are very friendly, efficient and caring. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and safe. I feel good about leaving our four legged family members there when we can’t take them with us. The grooming is good too. They do just what you ask for. Highly recommend this kennel & grooming.

Heather and Kayla are fantastic. We never take our dog, a rescued schnauzer mix, anywhere else for boarding or grooming. He gets so excited when we get nearby that he whines and jumps around until we pull up!! They take the absolute best care and always do an incredible job with hair cuts, baths, nail trims, you name it. Our dog can be skittish with new people but he adores the team at Tulamar. We feel so lucky to have discovered this hidden gem years ago and so appreciate this special place!!!

Just got home from picking up my dogs for their first appointments at Tulamar. The dogs look wonderful and their trim styles are exactly what I wanted. Staff was warm and friendly and the price reasonable. Gorgeous location, too, and easy to get to. I will definitely use them again for grooming and will add boarding. Thanks, Tulamar staff!

Tulamar is the best kennel in town! Heather and her staff take fabulous care of all their 'guests'! And it is clean, clean, CLEAN! The facility is built for safety and comfort - heated floors and dog runs with outside access! And the compassionate, competent care of my German Shepherd is why I will always come here, I have peace of mind knowing my dog is safe and happy when he is here.

I have been bringing my dogs to Tulamar for a number of years. I own a standard Poodle and Heather (the owner) is an expert on grooming this type of dog. Boarding my dogs there always allows me to relax knowing that they like Heather and the facility and that details are attended to with care. Heather and the Staff at Tulamar are nothing short of AWESOME! When I mention to my lab and Lhasa that they are going to "puppy camp" they are beside themselves with excitement! Both of our dogs come back clean, trimmed, well cared for and eager for a return visit! I have had other family members who have boarded there when they are in TC visiting from southeast Michigan and they have mentioned to me that Tulamar's beats the pants off the kennels they use there! Keep up the great work and know that we appreciate all your love and care of our dogs and they will always look forward to "puppy camp" at your place!

We needed to board our dog for one night on a Saturday. They said we had to keep him there till Monday as there would be nobody in the office on Sunday and we wouldnt be charged for Sunday if we picked him up by noon Monday. Upon picking our dog up on Monday before noon we were told that we had to pay for both nights and would be charged another had we arrived after noon and he was real skiddish towards us even growling at us. His behavior hasnt been the same since and we have been trying to get him to where he was before we took him there and he picked up ear mites there to top it off. Dishonest way of doing business and his behavior tells me he wasnt treated very good. Do not take your dog there!!

First experience with Tulamar was great. Heather did an awesome job of grooming our way overgrown Chesapoo. Second time was a disaster. I requested that the other groomer (didn't get a name) cut his body and legs fairly short, but just trim his ears and tail. She ignored my request and totally scalped him. She lost his leash, said she'd call when she found it - or replace it - and I've heard nothing. To top it off, she charged me $80. for this horrible cut, which is more than Heather charged me the first time when his hair was much longer and more challenging to work with. If you choose to try this grooming facility, I recommend you specifically request Heather - and if you can't get her, DON'T TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

This is the most horrible boarding facility I have ever used! I was worried as soon as I dropped my dog off but had no other option. I got back into town a day early and she was refusing to give me my dog because I was early. After arguing and being charged an astronomical amount, I got my poor dog back dirty, hot and dehydrated. If you love your animals do NOT leave them here! Deerfield Dog Lodging is much better!

Worst service my family has ever received in our entire life . She the “assistant” scalped our Pomeranian, still now over year later poor little guy is terrified by everything and still has no hair. Please ask me for photos. It will break your heart.
