We wanted to share our story of working with the Traverse City Trusted Journey Pet Memorial Service because of how satisfied we were with everything they had done for us and the passing of our beloved pet dog Winston. Winston was a 200lb English Mastiff who in his short seven year life made the best of every minute he had to live. Very loved by family, friends of family and even a lot of people he met along the way.When it was time for us to let him go we knew we wanted to have him cremated. So we contacted TJPMS to set up his day, time and our other wishes the same day of his passing. The staff were very polite to work with and they were able to get us a date and time for the service we wanted that was very acceptable.Trusted Journey has many options that give you peace of mind and relief for cremations. They also have many memorial items that are fairly priced and quality products. The things that impressed us the most was how clean, professional and just how thoughtful the staff were to us.We shared hugs and tears which means more than we can say. Trusted Journey can truly be trusted if you ever need to go through this yourself. Great business and people. We want to thank all of the staff who helped us with Winston’s end of life services. UPDATE 2024- We lost another treasured pet after 18 years and to be honest we were a little concerned seeing Great Lakes Pet Memorial was now Trusted Journeys, we called and someone other than Kerri answered the phone, which for us felt scary (even though I’m sure over the years someone other than Kerri has answered the phone there), but despite all of the anxiety, Anisa (I might not be spelling that right :/ )was very kind and very understanding of my panicked babbling. Though we only saw Kerri briefly, she clearly knew what she was doing when Anisa was brought on board. Anisa kept things even and calm and was again very kind, patient, and helpful when we called the next day to change urn plans.Bottom line - We had nothing to fear, Kerri and her family still run the business and they only hire *the* best. I can’t speak highly enough of them, they make a truly rotten horrible day slightly less so with their care, patience, and compassion.UPDATE May 2019 - We lost another beloved pet of 15 years this spring and Kerri and her team did an incredible job. She was again, extremely patient with us during the process and was extremely quick to answer a long-winded panicky facebook message after hours and again took multiple nose and foot prints. It takes special people to do what they do with the tenderness and respect it requires. Kerri and her team go above and beyond every time. Cannot thank or recommend enough.December 2017: Great Lakes Pet Memorial is wonderful. Kerri was phenomenal, she was very patient with us and extremely kind during the entire process. There is not a doubt, that our beloved Flower was treated with respect and dignity by Kerri and the rest of the staff. They went above and beyond, taking multiple nose and paw prints for us, and answering every sobbing unintelligible phone call from us between dropping her off and picking her up. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of such services.

After my pretty girl passed away, we made the call to get her cremated. Most places either don’t answer or have services on weekends. I was told by numerous places from where i live that no one could take my kitty until a week day or just unanswered phone calls. We then found this amazing place with such caring people and they said we could bring her in. This was on a Sunday. Kerri was so caring and understanding of what i was going through and she made it easier. It never does get easier...But Great Lakes Pet Memorial made it easier to grieve. I got the most precious pink urn with her nicknames imprinted on a heart wrapped around it. In the little bag of things they gave me were her paw prints (in pink💕) and so much more thoughtful things. They are such an amazing business with amazing people. There is so much more i could say, i cannot thank them enough for giving my pretty girl (Yittos) such great care💗🐾

I can not express enough the gratitude I have for Trusted Journey ‘s care of my pets remains. They handled my dogs remains with trust and dignity and the outcome was beautiful. I would recommend their service to anyone seeking end of life memorial services.

We had to have our beloved fur baby put to sleep and the Veterinary hospital used GL Pet Memorial for the cremation. The returned remains were packaged beautifully, the lock of fur, the paw print and the poems were so touching. I am completely confident that our dog was treated with respect through the whole process. Our last dog was returned to us from our vet in a plastic baggie. Thank you GL Pet Memorial for doing it so right.

The gal that helped me when I lost my sweet boy to liver cancer was so supportive and helpful. She took the time to walk me through the process of making some very hard choices and the poems that I got with my babies ashes when i picked him up were such a comfort. Our pet had to be put down thru Bay Area Pet Hospital and we wanted his remains back. Thru Great Lakes Pet Memorial we received a beautiful bag with his ashes, poems, a personal note and what we did not expect was some of his fur and a paw print keepsake. I cried at how thoughtful these items were and that Kerri and Dustin went above and beyond to make this time of grief easier to handle. Will definitely, when the time comes, use them for our other fur babies.

All my 8 years of owning rats, I have always had my pet treated different. Most ppl never valued my family member the way I did. I dont know how to thank you guys because what you did for me was incrediable . The paw prints and the hair and ashes and even the urn had a rat on it. You guys went above and beyond for my pet rat. I truely appreciate it. Thank you so much. He was a heart rat and I raised him by hand. He meant so much to me and it made me so thankful for what you guys did.

Our dog died unexpectedly on a Tuesday night. I called and left a message and had a call back first thing in the morning. These folks are thoughtful, compassionate, and gentle. They explained our options without any sales pitch, and took great care of my girl.
