Really wanted a good omelette for brunch this morning and decided to give Cafe Noka a shot.A cute exterior and the interior makes me think of my childhood. The grilled cinnamon roll was dangerously good. My 3 meat 🥓🍖 omelette was great and the hash browns were good (I should have asked for them to be crisper).Will likely be back during this trip to the area.

The hidden breakfast place you should stop by. Pancakes are big and they truly are one of the best. Other menu items are good as well. Unfortunately, there was no turkey bacon but that won't deter me from giving them a full five stars. They have outdoor seating and some play areas for the kids (definitely something that helps families making long drives).

This is the small town mom and pop restaurant you have been looking for!!! Great food, service and atmosphere this is my go to for breakfast while I'm up north. This is a must try if you're in the area. Bring cash as they don't take cards.

It's a nice and quaint little shop. I liked the cozy feel. The food came out in grand portions, but it just tasted OK. Nothing to write home about. The prices are affordable and you can find a variety of items on their menu.

Fantastic service, charming atmosphere, and excellent food. Cafe Noka is a must-visit for their “world’s best” pancakes and classic American-style omelette. The classic northern Michigan decor and seating is cozy but not cramped, and everything is tidy and spotless— including the kitchen, which is partially visible from the dining area.

Cute little place that's very unassuming but definitely hits the spot! We tried the grilled cinnamon roll, it was SO GOOD! I had French toast with bacon, which was on the thin side but perfectly crisp. Hubby had an omlette and hashbrowns and while the hasbrowns weren't crispy enough, everything tasted delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals and everything reheated nicely. We'll definitely be back!

Since catching Cafe Noka open the first time, I build it into my travel plans every time I'm in the area! It's delightful, definitely give it a taste. I'm kind of a weird eater so I especially appreciate that one can order anything off the menu at any time. FYI, it is cash or check only!Wheelchair accessibility: This place is probably a no-go for wheelchair users. The building is very small, and the path to the bathroom definitely can't fit a chair.

Went there on a busy July Sunday morning around 10:30 A.M.About a 30 minute wait, no real complaints about that.Got their “world famous pancakes”, have you ever had pancakes at McDonalds, they were exactly like that except they were dinner plate size. The pancake syrup was tasteless HFCS type syrup probably from GFS. The sausage patties were very thin and not much of a real sausage taste, also probably GFS frozen sausage.I expected a really good cup of coffee since this place was basically a breakfast restaurant, no. Tasted like the new coffee grounds were added to the old grounds but not in sufficient amount for a good morning coffee.All in all McDonalds would have been a slightly better tasting meal. Not going back! JMHO

We arrived as they were closing early 10am due to an appointment. The owner saw us and spoke to us explained what was happening and was so sweet and kind. Really wish we could've tried this place. I don't know anything about the atmosphere, we didn't get to go in so we will definitely need to stop in the next time we pass through here.

Cash only, delicious food. The waitress who initially took our party of 4s name down, never told anyone else. We watched 5 other tables of all different numbers get sat while we waited outside. Finally after 30 minutes we had to say something. We were informed someone didn't relay the new party waiting patiently outside. We were promptly taken care of, and the food was great. One bad egg didn't ruin our breakfast, and certainly wouldn't cause a negative review. We will be back to this hidden gem.

This place is popular so be prepared to wait. It's worth it! It's a small cozy setting with a little outdoor patio area. Very generous portions, and so good you'll be full and leave with leftovers. We had the crepe and other breakfast items and everything was delicious. One of the only places up north where you can get grits too.
