The food was good, no complaints there. Our server was new and did a good job. However, there was a lady following him around (I’m assuming possibly manager) who clearly doesn’t understand personal space and that not everyone loves to chat with strangers and look at their pictures while trying to enjoy dinner with their family. She was nice, but I’m just not interested in eating dinner with someone hovering around our table while we are trying to eat. It made the dinner a little uncomfortable and annoying.

2nd time visiting. First time I got the prime rib French dip...best I've had...being German fest I got the pork schnitzel. The German potato salad was amazing. It was amazing but I'd go with the prime rib sandwich again

Lots of people but the staff totally had everything handled. The staff was all upbeat, and the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend stopping by this spot, of you're ever in the area.....Parking: Open & clean.Kid-friendliness: ALL of the kids we saw were all enjoying themselves.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to locate.

My husband and I were traveling through on our way back from Mackinaw and stopped for dinner. I had the best French dip I've ever had! Shaved prime rib and super soft bread. He has the olive burger and he said it was outstanding. The homemade chips were also great. We had the calamari appetizer which was also great, perfect breading, not rubbery and the sauce was unique and delicious. Our service was phenomenal. We love finding local, "hole in the wall" places and this hit all the marks!

This bar and grill had a nice atmosphere. There were all kinds of cool 😎 signs on the ceiling. I enjoyed the music too. It was right across from the water. I ate the best bleu cheese ever. The burger was called the Bourbon Bleu Burger. It came with homemade chips. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. This is a must stop for a great burger. They also had a good chicken ceasars salad 🥗 😋!!!

Delicious! I had the brisket chili, tuna crisps, and peach cider. All were fantastic! I sat outside - inside was quite busy - outside was lovely and quiet on a Monday at 430 when I went. Friendly staff. Good, reasonable prices.

Great local bar and restaurant with good food, friendly staff and a fun atmosphere. We reserved a table and were seated quickly and our food and drinks were served quickly, especially since the entire place was busy. I will definitely be back.

We were traveling through Michigan to get to my cousins wedding & needed to find a place to eat. My wife suggested this place from a list of local selections. WE WERE THRILLED to find this GEM off the beaten path!!! The atmosphere was great, both inside & out. We sat outside on the patio. We were surprised to see that it was their Germanfest and that they had a special avaliable for the special occasion. The variety plate was the best selection of German food I've had in a VERY long time!!! There were 3 types of wurst, schnitzel, spaetzle, sour krout, & the best German potato salad I've ever had on this plate!!! It was soooooo good that I asked them for the recipe. But they declined to give it out as it was a secret. (Bummer...) However my wife had their shrimp platter & couldn't have been more thrilled with her selection either. It ended up being one of the best anniversary dinners we've ever had. (Yes my cousin chose the same weekend to get married, I can't blame him. It's It's wonderful time of year to get married.) So for our 17th wedding anniversary this was the spot chosen & I wouldn't change it for the world!!! If & when we're ever back in this neck of the woods, I'll always suggest a pit-stop at Breakers for dinner or even a lunch date. This is truly worth the stop. If you're in the area and need to try something new, or even a different place from your normal, this place should be on your short list.

Breakers has Sports TV inside and 3 or 4 deck areas. 50 yard white dock with American flag waving belongs to Breakers. Tie your water craft up and come on in. There is no sign at the waters edge, you just need to know... look up from the water for Breakers on the roadside. Perch is good, you must ask for it to be sauteed. Want a real downstate Coney Dog... they got it, and the dog has the 'snap'... just like home. I'm guessing it's Koegel's or Dearborn Vienna with skin. They carry LaBatt's Blue NA. House cab is good and that's coming from Rae. She won a family wine tasting contest answering all questions correctly, even selecting the inexpensive v cheap but good, and the expensive bottle. Nooo, she doesn't drink that much Mom. It was just at the family thing. Would like to try the big pretzels for a snack with beer. BTW... our waitress asked if we would like the coleslaw 1st... YES! Nice job Miss, I'm never asked ( before you) and I sit there hungry wishing I had something to eat. I'm too enchanted with my date Rae Wojtala, so incredibly beautiful, so sophisticated and articulate... to remember to ask on my own.

We went to try their pizza..it was so good! For me it's always the sauce and the crust and they hit it out of the park! I didn't take photos but I here's my takeout. Best in the area!

Had the Detroit Coney Style Pizza. Although I love Coney dogs, I wasn't to sure about this. I will definitely be back again. Service was great, and friendly. Not to busy, was early evening.

We're staying near Cheboygan and we're headed to Petoskey to explore and stopped at Breakers for lunch.Our server was very friendly and attentive.I got the steakhouse burger 🍔 and seasoned fries 🍟 and the wife got their schnitzel special. The food was better than we'd both expected.The burger patties appeared to be pre-made but were cooked properly. The seasoned fries were pretty darn good.

Great service, however the prime rib was not good in my opinion. Ordered medium rare and was brought medium. They tried saying that it was just the lighting and it was medium rare. Over cooked over priced piece of meat in my opinion. Here's a pic, you be the judge. Extremely disappointed.
