So much fun! My family and my sister-in-laws family all went together and all of our kids had a blast! Alpacas were extremely friendly and allowed the kiddos to feed and pet them. They handed us feed when we arrived so the kids were able to give that to the alpacas. There were also chickens that my youngest was obsessed with! There was also a food stand for anyone feeling hungry (brots, hamburger, pulled pork)! This is definitely a must see, especially for those with kids!

What a great experience! The store staff, as well as Jason and Rebecca. Everyone is so knowledgeable and inviting. I love that they want questions and are willing to help you expand your knowledge as well. For the price that you pay (which is hardly anything) you have such a great time on the tour, you learn, laugh, and get to spend time with all different ages of alpacas (and Lucy the Llama of course). I have always had a deep love for alpacas because they are such amazing animals, but as soon as I stepped out of my vehicle on this farm, I felt at home. You can tell how well the animals are treated. They talk about how they strive for only the best when it comes to everything for them, and it's a truly peaceful place. I would be in heaven to work at this farm! The animals are truly amazing, as are the folks running it. I can't say enough good things and can't wait to bring more of my family out to the farm. Thanks for everything today Jason and Rebecca!!Oh, and let's not forget the amazing store (boutique) they have right on site!! Everything you could want and more in there. It's truly heaven on earth :)And the sneek peak at Onyxs baby was soooo cute :)

This is one of the best day trips we’ve taken in the Traverse City area. The tours are AMAZING!! The Alpacas are adorable, happy, social, and well cared for. The owners are very passionate about their farm and it shows. My kids and I absolutely loved this trip. And…it’s only 5.00 a ticket! Children under 5 are free.

Looking for some inexpensive fun while in northern Michigan? This is your place! I brought my two teen daughters and their friend and they had a blast! ( I did too!!) The Alpacas are darling! They are incredibly sweet and social. Each with its own personality! Speaking of sweet, Jason and his wife Rebecca are the kindest most inviting hosts! Their love for the animals is evident. I loved how they invited us into their Alpaca family! I learned so much about them. We will definitely be back with friends! Give Zinn a big hug from Sam! Thank you for your hospitality❤️

Loved this place!!! The tour was excellent - the alpacas are so fun & Jason is a great guide. The store is full of many excellent alpaca items. I can’t wait to wear my soft gloves this winter! The whole experience was a 10/10. We’re up north on vacation & it’s definitely the highlight of the trip. I hope these guys continue to be successful & stick around for many many more years

We had the BEST time at the farm doing a farm tour. My daughters have talked about it for weeks…and we are planning a return visit for one of their birthdays. The family is so kind, the store is awesome, and as an adult I now am really in love with alpacas. A must do if you are in the traverse city area.

We loved visiting the farm and going on a tour! We ended up being the only ones in our time slot, so we got lots of one-on-one attention from the tour guide as well as the alpacas. Our favorite group was the babies and mamas - they were the most laid back and we enjoyed spending time loving on them. We even got to see a new baby that had been born only a few hours prior! Sarah was our favorite baby (so friendly), and Jessica was another favorite - she gently nibbled my son's hair at one point. We learned a lot from the very knowledgeable tour guides and we will definitely be back!

Went to visit Rebecca, Jason and their adorable alpacas this weekend. The furry babies were waiting for me as soon I walked into the barn to say hello. Beans nose nuzzles and hugs sure make a girl feel loved. Zula just wanted to give kisses and rub her cute head on my arm. Each of them were so sweet and Both Jason and Rebecca are very knowledgeable about them. I cannot wait for the new store to open and to visit again soon!

Such sweet animals and two owners who know their stuff! The tour is the best value you could ever get for 5 dollars - and these socks and mittens are as warm as they get!

What a disappointment. I recently placed an online order for some alpaca yarn in black. The description said 'black'. The image looked black. When it arrived, it was dark brown. When I wrote to the owner to ask about the discrepancy, she explained there are different kinds of black in the alpaca world. She said I could return or exchange the yarn but they generally don't refund original shipping costs or cover return shipping costs. I asked that she make an exception in my case - considering the issue was no fault of mine, considering there was no information posted on the website about any color variations. It just said 'black'. She refused. I've ordered natural black alpaca yarn from other sources (see comparison image). It arrived black as described.

First of all, the grounds are gorgeous. The ranch is immaculate, and the animals are very well-kept and beautiful. Just a word to the wise - there is a good chance that visiting may make you desperately want to quit your day job and move away from the city to play with Alpacas all day. Please don't say I didn't warn you. About the farm: The owners are incredibly lovely and gracious. Not only did they give me a ton of information about Alpacas prior to my first Alpaca purchase and visit to the farm; they also let me spend time with them before I decided to purchase my first herd.Their farming techniques and stewardship for the land is unparalleled. I’ve visited several other Alpaca farms before I decided to do business with Rebecca and Jason; other farms would tell me they would not allow anyone to interact with the animals. Hence, spending time with them and being allowed to see them was very important to me prior to my investment.I love that the owners treat all the Alpacas like family members which makes the animals very social and sweet. The beautiful store where they sell a lot of beautiful Alpaca products, from sweaters to hats and gloves, to ornaments, candles and mugs is incredible. Check the farm schedule before you go. So what are you waiting for? Go frolic with some adorable Alpacas already!

Hands down the BEST experience -- if you're even considering booking a tour of the farm or visiting the store, please do!! Even as an adult, I had so much fun meeting, petting, and feeding the alpacas. They are such a delight. The store is also wonderful - I got a lovely winter hat made from the fiber of Dolly, who I got to take a picture with at the barn! Rebecca and Jason are so friendly, accommodating, professional and great to talk to. They're wanting to make sure everyone, from littles to adults, can walk away with great memories - and they do a top-notch job at that. Do visit if you're in the area!

Cotton Creek Farms is a great place for the whole family to learn and be up close to Alpacas. Jason does a wonderful job explaining all about the Alpacas. While there you get to feed the animals and they are gentle and very enjoyable to be around. They also have a really neat store where you can purchase items made from the fibers from the Alpacas. From hats, to socks, yarn, and sweaters. All of the products are in excellent quality. I highly recommend booking your tour. Thank you Cotton Creek Farms.

The best alpaca socks and hats! My order arrived quickly and packaged beautifully. I ordered alpaca socks back in November for a ski trip out west in February. The alpaca socks are comfortable and kept my feet warm the entire trip (it was below zero). I also gave Grandma Lil’s Knit Alpaca Hat w/ Pom as presents for Christmas and they were a hit! Thank you Cotton Creek Farms - I will be back to order more soon!

This Alpaca farm is like its owners- AMAZING! The tour is excellent and really affordable at only $5. You'll learn all about alpacas (and llamas), get all your questions answered by the experts, hand feed the alpacas and then shop the cute merch in the boutique afterwards! It was a wonderful experience and a great way to spend the day. 💕 💖 💞

My boyfriend took me to Rebecca and Jason’s farm for our anniversary because of my love for alpacas and I was completely blown away by them and their beautiful alpacas! (And llama!) They took the time to take us through and tell us about the individual alpacas and their personalities while we got to feed them. Their knowledge on alpacas is vast and they taught me so much I hadn’t known before about them! I can’t wait to go back up and visit when they open their new store. Until then, I will be getting Christmas gifts for the family using their online store! These alpacas are looked after so well and I am so appreciative to them for their time! Thank you Rebecca and Jason! It was a wonderful once and a lifetime experience for me and I truly appreciate it!Michelle and Matthew

We went randomly for a family outing while of vacation / celebrating our son's graduation. Jason, Rebecca, Hunter, the alpacas & Llama are sweet, nice, loving and caring! My son started off as a Llama lover and now wants to have his own alpaca farm!! We definitely come back next time we are in town!!!

Honestly, I had a mild knowledge and appreciation for Alpacas prior to my visit. However, in the months following my visit to Cotton Creek my life has been impregnated with a newfound passion. Alpacas are wonderful animals that have drastically changed my outlook on the state of the natural world. Conservation and preservation has taken the driver's seat, as I've been inspired to leave a better world for the Alpacas than the one I inherited. If we can not convince our local lawmakers to make direct changes to preserve the life of the Alpacas then the Alpacas will have no choice other than to overthrow our current institutions to restore the planet to it's natural balanced state with the simple and virtuous goal of preservation of self. And can we blame them for this? It is innate in the nature of each and every animal to protect and nourish the future of their kind, and how can they do this if we humans are robbing the Alpacas of their own livelihood. There will be a tipping point, the Alpacas will understand the gravity of the situation, and we will have one last chance to act. Great friendly workers, lots of fun for all. What more could you ask for?
