This store is in a nice area, convenient for us as far a location, however, prices are like price gouging. The store has been recently cleaned and looks nicer with new coolers (which are probably more cost efficient), but, the perishable items are not good.Every time we buy hamburger there, it's always dark gray in the middle with pink meat wrapped around it. It's like that for any meat that is packaged stacked or overlapping. Looks ok until you open it. We have returned so much. Produce is always in the verge of going bad or bad even when I take it right home.Not sure what is going with all that but it sucks to have to keep going back to return stuff like that after it being expensive. The only inexpensive items are either almost expired sales or the "our family" brand that is gross for the most part.Wish this place would get it together. The workers are nice, the clients are nice, just not sure why they are selling stuff so expensive that is bad a lot. It's good store for over priced nonperishable items. I like the location and the people that work there. But that's not why we go grocery shopping.

I can honestly say, the prices are very high compared to every other grocery store that I frequent. But their meat is always on point. I don't mind spending a few extra dollars for convenience, and cleanliness.

Great choices, smaller size than giant super centers, help available for carry out, staff is friendly and willing to assist whatever is needed. Pleasant atmosphere. Bakery and Deli on site. Enjoy.

Very disappointed in the hot food department. I got 4 fried mozzarella sticks around 3p, got to the car and was a little ways away the mozzarella sticks were cold and had a fishy after taste. Called the store and was told they couldn't do anything

Today I experienced one of the most disturbing and disgusting Foodtown employee I have ever encountered my 35 plus years of going to this store. Returning my fathers bottles and cans, who shops at Foodtown and Kroger. I had this managr approach me telling me I'm on camera and I need to leave her store. I had Kroger cans in my bag that I never even put in the recycling machine. I had to leave immediately and she was admitt I never return. So I politely walked to my car put the cans in and walked back in side to collect my payment for the ones I did return already. Embarrassing is to say the least as everyone staires at me and she said the signs are posted every where. Not one sign did I see and I have a picture . I have a feeling I know what she did this and I'm not only embarrassed but feel discriminateed against. I won't return here that's for sure but believe me I will not let this go. Discriminatory behavior is not acceptable anywhere. I am not letting this one Just be ok...

After today we will no longer be shopping at Food Town. I sent my fiance over to pick up snacks and some WIC items.First, if you are going to accept WIC maybe you should make sure your store manager isn't going to insult customers for using WIC, and making comments like "well if you can't afford it..."Second, as a store manager she could have easily got out a calculator and took a whole 5 seconds to show him that the total was correct. That's what I did when he got home - seriously, a whole 5 seconds.For future reference, and a better customer experience, make sure your employees know that the "FW" to the right of the item name on the receipt means it was covered by WIC.Your employee may have been having a bad day, maybe she just has lack of patience or compassion, but if she's going to have that job she needs to work on those things. The customer is not always right, but she could have been rational and applied some customer service skills.

Love they have a decent selection of organic produce! Good meat at good prices.. hubby love fresh kielbasa. I can get the items my 2 main grocery shopping stores (A**i and C****o) don’t carry. Always friendly service! Deducting one star because the bread prices are just to high!

I only go because it is closer than Kroger. Half the employees are rude and it always takes longer than it should to go through the registers. One of these days I will remember that and stop supporting something I do not feel that is deserving of my money

I have to say I am very disappointed with Foodtown in Temperance. I am a regular shopper there, I live right around the corner. Today I needed to stop and just grab a gallon of milk it was late but their website says they are open until 10pm. I got there at 9:30 and walked into the store. It was not closed, there were customers in line to check out and the doors were open. I was inside the store and headed to grab the milk I stopped for and was told I had to leave because they were closed and they had announced it before I walked into the door, yet the door was open. I explained I just needed milk and that the website says they were open until 10pm. The girl behind the service desk said well it is posted on the door 9:30 and I needed to leave. When I looked for the sign that said they were open til 9:30 it was over to the side on a letter sized piece of paper that looked like any other advertisement hanging on their door. I never saw it until I had to look for it. I have not had issues in the past and have grown up in this community and have been shopping there since it was Francis foods. They sure do not appreciate their customers now!! I have no other issues with Foodtown other than the higher prices compared to Kroger or Meijer but understand they are a small store and expect that. They really should update their hours online so that customers can plan accordingly! That is all.

Two stars only because of convenience. Most staff is great but there are a handful of employees who could care less to have your business. Items ring up wrong constantly and the one gentleman that wears the shield should not have a job due to his poor customer service skills.

They are fantastic! If I didn't have to wear a mask I would apply there in a heartbeat.😁 Worked for the Pharm in Oregon Ohio many many years ago until they closed. Then a few years ago I worked for Dollar Tree for 6 years. I love Food Town .

Just an average small town grocery store. The prices are about average. The sales are decent. The people are very friendly. I shop here all the time. Never had an issue with cleanliness when I've been in there. They have been known to host girl scouts selling cookies, which can take a major chunk out of your wallet.

Awesome T bones cheap then bought a beef tenderloin.Afer the prices shooting up since 2020 it was a nice break.Friendly staff eager to help.
