We just got done at the baby animal day. It was very nice. Everyone there was so kind. There wasn't a lot of people there. You were allowed to pet and hold animal. Just when you thought you were done looking at animals there was more around the corner. We will definitely be back.

I never leave reviews but I had such an amazing experience with Even Keel exotics that I felt it was important! From start to finish, the time I left my deposit for my baby skunk to the time he was delivered to me and there after, I had the best customer service! He came to me very healthy and he has been such a joy to my family! We love him so much and I am so grateful to the staff and owner Zak. I would highly recommend Even Keel exotic and I’m hoping next year to maybe purchase my Pepé a friend.

I haven't been there but I do frequent there online site often and so far all I have is good things to say they clearly take care of their animals and it's nice that they're not just constantly breeding them they breed them on the seasons they need to be as well as background checking I actually called and asked a couple questions and they were super nice about it filled me in on all the stuff I wanted to know and we're just genuinely nice people

I haven't been here yet and wanted to make a comment when will this place be back open I heard nothing but good things about it I actually knew a friend of mine that grew up she said she will always come here when she was younger and started to bring her kids when will this place be back open I want a sugar glider????

Absolutely wonderful place. Sean was very knowledgeable and friendly during our visit. He went out of his way to make sure my daughters got to interact with every animal possible and educate them on the animals. The facility was very clean and the animals were very cool.

I got two hedgehogs from here a while back and the guy was super nice, gave us an extra cage and basics to get started. Any negative review are just people who are against giving any pet beside a cat or a dog a good home. They assume everyone is as dense as they are and aren't intelligent enough to properly care for an animal. These animals are going to be pets either way, whether these people sell them or other people do, so if you are capable and fully educated on the animal you choose before you make that decision, then this place is more than fine. What they don't understand is that most of these animals have been displaced from their homes by humans building larger cities and farmlands. A lot of them if not pets would have less and less of a home to go to in the wild. They are at risk of being killed by not only predators but also humans. I'd much prefer to learn everything there is to know about an animal and if I'm capable of it, then giving them an amazing home.

Please don’t get your sugar gliders from here. I bought one that was supposed to be 2-3 months old, turns out she is close to a year old and has multiple joeys in her pouch. She was only small because she was malnourished. Do your research and buy from a reputable breeder, or rescue one instead.

Would give negative stars if I could. Zac sold us a chocolate skunk that was sick with worms and distemper. We had the skunk for barely 2 weeks and he passed away. If you buy anything from this “breeder”, GET THEM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY. It may just save your little baby’s life. We are pursuing legal action.

Had previously done the "Baby Animal Day" back in May. Decided to do an encounter today. LOVED every minute of it. The animals were so happy to see us and were very friendly. You can tell they are well taken care of! Sean, our guide, was very informative and answered all our questions. You can definitely tell he loves his job and these animals. Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! My family and I had so much fun at the Animal Encounters. We also have an 8 month old Shadow Arctic Fox from these guys. She is doing incredible and has brought so much joy to our family! I have to point out, all the bad reviews come from people who have never visited Even Keel, activists, or irresponsible people who failed to keep their animals alive. Keep it up Even Keel, don't listen to the haters!

We were deceived and were refused paperwork for our pet fox we picked up. Then were misinformed and lied to about the required permits and permissions to own said fox.We were given a guarantee and a promise, paid the 300$ for said fox and am now forced to give him to a rescue. Seriously considering pressing charges.

One of my favorite places to visit! Even Keel Exotics treats their animals with so much love and care! The owners and all of their employees are knowledgeable and friendly and have an obvious love for all of the animals there. We have visited for the baby animal days twice now and a private encounter and absolutely loved it! I can't say enough good things about this place! I know exotic animal places can have a bad reputation, but Even Keel is far from that. They are great and we will continue to visit them as long as they're open! ❤

I subscribe to their emails. I'm obsessed with foxes and I've always wanted one. It's nice to see what animals they have to offer and they even have dates where you can just come and meet the animals. Most ppl don't know foxes are legal to have as pets in Michigan as long as you follow proper laws and guidelines. ❤

I've been following Even Keel Exotics for about 10 years on their social media and today I had the pleasure of attending a baby animal encounter with my family and we had a great time. We are definitely going to be returning for a personal encounter and exotic animal purchases. The animals here all look healthy and happy and the staff and owners were all so pleasant and helpful. We would all totally recommend to anyone for a fun day or to find a new pet. The people there were all well educated on the animals as well that made the encounters really fun.

My experience was doing my due diligence of researching the health and finding the reports of mistreatment of animals for profit before considering doing business here. Research first and find an establishment that maintains health above profit. I would look beyond this place. I welcome the owner to respond to the reports of sick foxes, foxes that had no water, infected and parasitic animals, dead sugar gliders, cleanliness of establishment. Please explain all the reports and how you are not profit before integrity. People, do your research.

I bought a hedgehog from here back in April 2020. They were super kind and didn’t hesitate to answer any and all of my questions. They responded to my emails within 24 hours. My hedgehog is still doing amazing. I would definitely recommend buying one from here if you are interested!

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners yesterday and being a farm/animal owner myself I was overly impressed with not just the overall great maintenance, care, enclosures, housing, cleanliness and most important the absolute amazing well being of all the animals. Also, the owner was so kind, intelligent, informative and welcoming to us but you could see the passion/love she had for each animal. This is definitely the best exotic farm I have ever been to! 10 stars if possible!! Keep it up Even Keel!

I purchased an animal and paid upfront no deposit. I was told she would be sent out with 48 hours. After a month of me asking what was going on(barely any emails / calls back on updates after I paid 3 grand) I finally recieved her. She came with round worms and had to go through a various course of antibiotics. She is healthy and happy now but I was NOT happy with their services after receiving my money.

I picked up a beautiful little girl chocolate skunk. She is healthy spunky and a huge enjoyment. The place was clean. Cages were a bit small for the bigger animals but they room to build bigger enclosures. Biggest thing are the pets all seem healthy and cared for. I recommend buying from them. Very nice polite people as well.

I took my friend here for baby animal day and it was amazing! We got her a baby hedgehog for her birthday and I've never seen her happier! The animals were friendly and adorable and the enclosures were well kept. 10/10 would reccomend.

DON'T BUY FROM HERE!!They always seem to have cute hedgehogs. I've bought 3 from them they all came with some of the most severe cases of mites that my vet has every seen. So after an additional $170 per hedgehog $510 total they are mite free doing good. But unless you want to end up in the vets don't buy from them. But if u do buy from them take them to the vet immediately afterwards. They seem nice and seem as if they care but it's an act, if you can't give healthy animals don't do it at all. It shows that they don't really care, because if they went and got their animals checked out they wouldn't be selling babies with mites that got passed on from the mother.

I spent a good amount of time here and spoke with the owners wife and that led to me purchasing a polar arctic fox, Nadya. She is everything you could hope for and more. She is tame, friendly, and beautiful! I get comments on social media every day on her pictures. Please disregard negative reviews. If you do your research, and follow what your exotic needs, you will do fine. If you let toddlers do the training and they are not cared for, they will die. Respect the animal or get a goldfish! I want to post a picture of my beauty for all to see. These folks are honest and helpful but it is up to you to ask questions! They are more than happy to help. Love these folks. They deserve excellent reviews!*It has been 9 months since I posted this review and for what it is worth, I STILL feel the same way! Nadya hasn't needed a vet, she is happy and healthy, and friendlier than ever. Thank you so much* 03/05/2019

It was a really hot day. So some of the animals were miserable. But other than that, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The animals were interactive and engaging. Some of the adult foxes looked a little ragged. And I (not being an expert or anything) felt the porcupine enclosure was a little small for 3. But all in all everything was nice. The pens were as clean as could be, you know, for wild animals that poop indiscriminately..lol. It was worth the money for the private tour. 👍🏼

Even Keel Exotics is a terrible place to buy animals. Bought 2 Prarie Dogs, they were both loaded with fleas, and one DIED within 2 weeks of purchase. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! CAGES WERE FILTHY DIRTY AND ALL THE ANIMALS LOOKED SICK!!!

I tried to email them months ago about a deposit on a fox. They never messaged back... Kinda glad they didn't. I've been trying to find their address or phone number and have found nothing but negative things about these people. They haven't replied to me months and months later, that's the only reason for my negative rating, but do a quick search about this place and it's amazing just how crooked and corrupt they are. Glad I found this info, I'll go anywhere else!
