Great hardware store! They have all your hardware needs, in addition to guns, fishing gear, and an awesome gift shop. They also have very reasonably priced rental equipment!

Until the other night I have been pleased with their service. I stopped in at 5pm to buy paint. The woman that had to be called to that department was annoyed. I asked a question about the two brands they have and was given an impatient response. I chose my color and then looked for trim color. Her reply was "you want more than one?" As I was leaving a customer was told we're closing and they forced the door close. I realize they close at 5:30 but customer service shouldn't suffer because employees want to check out. I am disappointed at our home town hardware for forgetting why we go there instead of Walmart.

Went in there March 28 looking for help with my pump and tank. The two guys in the plumbing area took almost 2 hours with me, found everything I needed, put it together for me and answered every question I had. That's customer service!!! I want to say thank you very much for the help. Made my plumbing experience quite a bit easier.

Locally owned and operated by a great family. Very clean and helpful staff. I love getting my paint from Jen! Ryan is super helpful and a very nice kid. You can get all your hardware needs and some very cute gifts! I buy my beach decor from here.

Loved it here. They have everything! I've never been treated so we'll after walking in. I was greeted during the course of my 10 minutes I was asked if I needed anything 3x. So impressed!

This store has just about everything a guy would need for a project and a helpful staff too. Why wouldn’t the owners NOT protect their valued employees and customers from the COVID by NOT enforcing the mask mandate?? A mask is one of the few tools we have to combat COVID right now. Think about it!

If I could review my experience today without a star that would be my rating. Needed help in the paint department. asked questions about a product and wash rushed and told, and i quote " I am going to lunch so what do you want me to do?" Well, never has anyone there been so rude or impatient. I would rather drive one hour and 15 minutes to Saginaw instead of 20 mins to Tawas to pick our paint.

I love this place. I almost always find what I need and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I do wish they were a little more diligent with mask wearing and enforcement. I don't want to get Covid again.

Called for topsoil and they told me over the phone they had more than 800 bags available. Drove to the store to have the cashier call someone and they told her that they couldn't get to it. That was a complete waist of time and gas money.

My father and uncle have owned hunting property in the area for over 50 years and always came here when anything was needed. Now the property is mine. And now I know why they came here!I couldn't get the doors on the cabin unlocked so I came here first.A employee was busy rolling up floor protectors and had his hands full but he told me what to use and another employee took me to it. Then I went to the counter where the keys are made, just to be sure it was ok to use. Theperson there told me to use the PB Blaster and that it is the best. He also suggested that I should take a replacement doorknob set just in case the old one was beyond repair. He also told me he could re-key the new lock if needed.You don't get that kind of service in the big box stores here in Toledo Ohio!Oh, by the way, the PB Blaster worked the first time and I exchanged the new unopened doorknob set for oil for my equipment, a new key, and water less hand cleaner, with the help of other employees.The employees did their jobs and much more to help me find what I needed and not just point and send me on my way.The store manager and Do It Best should be proud of the staff! Now I will renew a family tradition of shopping at their store! Thank You

Refuses to enforce wearing masks. Even encouraging people not to wear them with the sign posted at their door. You would think they would care about the community that keeps then in businesses
