This was the most fun I’ve ever had on a bike! HIGHLY recommend the e-Bike the Vines - Self Guided Wine Tour from GRAND TRAVERSE BIKE TOURS & SUTTONS BAY BIKES. Holy wow! So much fun!! Great trails, great wines and ciders, a really great catered boxed lunch was delivered for us to the second stop, we texted them to pickup our purchases along the way. It was perfection!!!! The e bikes made it very accessible and enjoyable. Completely worth the trip and the price. Can’t say enough good things!!! #happyanniversarytous !

We rented 2 e-bikes and 2 dog trailers and this was the perfect way to explore the trails and wineries while on vacation! We had so much fun that we added extra days and Suttons bay bikes was so flexible and accommodating with our last minute schedule changes.

Great service! Walked in without a reservation on a Saturday morning and was able to rent two bikes...I was on the TART trail in less than 5 minutes after walking in their shop. The hybrid bike I rented was well maintained and functioned perfect.

Rented bikes here several times, and they are hands down our favorite in the area (have tried several others) for any riding on the Leelanau or Heritage trail areas. The staff has some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen (great energy, emergency service support, helps adjust your bike for your size, assists w detailed route planning). 2023 Update: Another summer of Sutton's Bay Bikes exceeding all expectations.On the repair side, Elliott and Hal got me back on the road several times this year. Each time the repairs were done right, explained with accuracy and patience, completed faster than I could have hoped, and priced very reasonably.On the retail side of the business, my wife stopped in to explore purchasing a new bike because her existing bike (purchased elsewhere) didn't seem to fit her well and was causing pain in her neck/shoulders/wrists. Instead of selling her a new bike, Nick, suggested that changing her handlebars might do the trick, and it did. Instead of selling her a new bike for a few thousand dollars, he happily sold her new handlebars (installed) for less than $100.2022 Review: These guys are fantastic, especially the bike repair shop. Elliott, Garrett, and the other guys in the repair shop are knowledgeable, responsive, quick, welcoming, inclusive, reasonably priced, and just plain nice humans. They don’t even make me feel bad for trying and failing to fix my own bike. My riding life is greatly enhanced knowing they are there to help when I need it.

Jordan was great at getting us setup and answering any questions! The trail was fantastic and the bikes were easy to use. We didn’t get to all the vineyards but it was perfect! I would suggest taking electric bikes as the regular ones were a bit of a work out

I rented a bike via Internet for a planned three-day stay in Traverse City before a scientific congress. The bike was delivered right to my hotel room before my arrival and was picked up after the three days in another hotel. All worked perfectly and I had nothing to worry about. Staff very helpful and friendly. The good quality race bike came in perfect mechanical shape, with a lock, a fully-equipped repair kit (which fortunately I didn't have to use) and free water bottle. The only thing I have missed was small bell for rides on bike paths, but otherwise 100% satisfied.

Great experience!! The Tart trail is an amazing trail. The e bikes we rented were easy to navigate and helped us up the hills. We got caught in the rain and they were able to pick us up. Thanks for the great service!!

We love Suttons Bay Bikes. We've been trying to put off getting a second car for as long as possible, and since returning to the area had discussed ebikes as a good alternative. Elliot and Nick at SB Bikes were very helpful in setting us up with the right ones!Elliot was informative and honest about the options within our price range, and we're totally satisfied with the bikes so far. We were also able to get all the basic accessories we wanted (mirrors, bells, racks, etc.), and what they didn't have available in the store (which has considerable stock) we could order to receive within about a week.This is a local business with local employees and ownership that is fair and clearly cares about its customers. We'll be going through them for all our future bike needs.

Completely Satisfied Customer. I had special medical needs and asked for help finding the right bike for me. Nick was extremely accommodating and assisted me in finding what might work for me. He made suggestions and offered for me to come back after he had time to build it for me. When I returned the bike was exactly as he had said it would be and worked wonderfully with my specific needs. His mechanics were also very helpful, instead of hiding in the back of the shop, and helped me find a few more items. Overall, it was a great experience and a great purchase. I am glad to have found my new bike shop. Thanks guys!

LOVE this shop. Went in yesterday to see about getting a tune up for my young daughter's Pelo bike. The mechanic (Garrett, I believe) took it right back, greased the chain, filled the tires, adjusted the seat and sent us on our way - withOUT a bill / WITH a great all around experience. The store manager was super friendly on our way in and out, greeting us even though he was just there on his day off (observed this with several customers, too). They were both so pleasant and helpful - just went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at ease. This is the true Up North local experience - genuine people doing great work and making our community a better place. THANK YOU!!!

Had a brake issue on my EBike and the crew at Sutton Bay Bike took me right in and less then an hour later the problem was solved. Theses guys know Bikes. If your ever in need of a repair or you want to rent a bike. I highly recommend Sutton Bay Bikes. I was on a short trip with my husband and they made it that much more enjoyable by fixing my bike. Best bike shop! I’ve bought a bike and a SUP here, and both get a lot of compliments constantly. Took in another bike to get fixed and it looks brand new. We had a wonderful experience with Nick. I have been to several of the bike shops in Traverse City. I have bought a bike from three of the bigger shops. This had been the best interaction of all. I bought a previous rental e bike. Nick was very accommodating. He took the time to explain throughly about the bike. I going back for sure. I noticed they also have plenty of information for not only bike trails but snow showing and cross country trails as well. I look forward to visiting again very soon.

Fast, friendly service.My family and I were biking through the area and we had a string of mechanical issues which they fixed promptly so we could continue riding despite being busy: my front tire/GP4000s blew out (!), my daughter's chainring was bent, and the tension in my sons' cables were off. I also appreciated that he showed exactly what the issues were. So, I can recommend them for service!I also saw that they had a very healthy bike tour/ rental business with happy customers.

Crashed my bike while I was out on a ride and bent up my derailleur. I stopped by the shop and the mechanics fixed it up FREE OF CHARGE so I could finish my ride. They even offered me band aids and Neosporin. Great shop, wonderful people!

I stopped in to pick up a few supplies while riding the TART trail to Sutton’s Bay. I mentioned that my bike was not shifting properly and they spent some time adjusting my derailleur and brakes while I waited. Quite pleasant and unexpected service for them to drop what they were doing to help me out. The trail ride back and the rest of my vacation is much more enjoyable on a bike that’s running right.
