Owners are old friends of mine. Very nice couple. Lots of room. Pool coming in 2024. Play ground, kids activities, fires aloud, and very clean bathrooms. Check them out. Quiet place. Bikers welcomed but be respectful of fellow campers and quiet time!!Tell them I sent you...LOLDog-friendliness: Leash law in Michigan

I stayed in one of the older cabins. If you plan on staying in one of these make sure you take an air mattress because there is only plastic between you and the Springs of the mattress. Take a good light bulb with some wattage to it because the bulb that they Supply is like five Watts you cannot tell the difference between having the light on or off it's that dim. There are lots of bees every time you try to fix something to eat you have to sweat bees away from you and your food. There are a lot of things there for the little ones to do which is nice, nice Beach. If you don't feel like cooking do not order pizza from CJ's it is nasty. We ordered it was late by an hour and a half and it was terrible. All the toppings were chewed up like somebody had already tried to eat the pizza and spit it back on the crust and the crust was tough and nasty. The faucet in the sink takes 2 hands to run it because it's so loose in twirls around in a circle we didn't have soap in there for 2 days. You Also may get locked in or out because the door is terribly hard to open. Other than that I had a good time.Playground: The playground was great except they need to remember that little kids can't read the instruction signs, like, don't do flips on the inflatables.

We've been camping here for 9 years. Always been a great time until this year. We stay in the back cabins with a large group. They didn't clean the bathroom all 3 days we were there. Rules for tents were changed but we were not aware. We tried to book our group for next year but was unable to. I'm sad that they've made so many changes that we can't keep our group camping trip going. Far too many seasonal sites to allow for weekend camping. Hoping with the expansion it will allow for more weekend camping sites to free up

Very nice campground. Wish the place to get life jackets wasn't so far from the waterfront...

We have stayed here a few times. Nice place, lots for the kids to do. The owners are very nice. The only problem is their reservation system (or lack thereof)Very hard to get anyone to answer phones or emails in a timely manner. If they could get those kinks worked out and maybe an online reservation system, then things would be much better!

Great place to take the kids. Took our two grandsons age 3 and 9 and they had a blast. We tent camp but still felt we fit right in. Everything was clean and stocked. Owners were wonderful, cheerful and offered great customer service. The boys bounced, swam, fished, boated and had a great time. We will be back.

We visit yearly as my parents have a seasonal site. It is always clean, with plenty for kids to do.The two star rating is because of how hard it is to get through to anyone to book a site. 3/4 of the time when I call, no one answers. Their voicemail message simply says a name something like, "Penny Oda." How do I know that my message will even be delivered properly?? I wish they would at least answer and put me on hold if they are that busy.Neither their automated phone system nor their website mention hours of operation, so I never know when a good time to call is.They need to offer online booking. We have busy personal schedules so it is not a quick thing to speak to someone on the phone to find the type of site we want during a time that we are free (pre-season booking is out of the question for us). It turns into a 15 minute phone call once I can even get someone on the line. The only other booking option is email. Email is convenient for some, but for others, it's an INconvenience to stretch a simple booking over multiple hours or days simply because no one is available to speak with. With as popular as this place is, who wants to risk losing a site by booking via email or phone message??Truth be told, it's such a hassle to book a site here, that if it wasn't for my parents, we wouldn't return despite how nice the campground itself is.

We've been going to Leisure lake for our family reunion and love it so much that we keep coming back! My household has slowly grown since I started coming and now we have 3 young kids (7, 7 & 4 years old). My girls love the campground and there is so much to do for the kids. This last tripthe owner even have one of my daughters a piece of candy some feed for the goats and she loved it! We are crossing fingers that one day we can become monthly (or seasonal) campers so we can increase our relaxation time and familymemories. Thanks for a great time.

Stayed here for the first time over Memorial Day weekend, had a great time. Tons of activities for the family and kids. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. However, it's disappointing to see that ownership and management tolerate racist imagery, like the giant confederate flag posted at an obviously well established seasonal lot.

So happy with our stay at Leisure Lake! This is a very well maintained property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restrooms and shower facilities are very clean and in good working order. The weekend we stayed, they had several fun events scheduled for the kids and families for Halloween (even though it was still September). We would love to stay here again in the future.

We just spent this past weekend at Leisure Lake. They have made so many improvements to this campground since we were here a couple of years ago. There are lots of things for kids to do and the owners are wonderful. They do whatever they can to make sure your stay is pleasant. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 were the hoards of flies which I'm not sure the staff can do anything about. I think it was just the time of year as we didn't experience this in the past. We are usually State Park campers, but tried 3 private parks this summer and the other 2 failed miserably. We will definitely come back to Leisure Lake.

End of August camping at Leisure Lake was awwwesome!! My 2 & 3 year old Granddaughters had plenty to do...collecting shells, jumping on the air pillows, wading in the water, and of course riding around in the golf cart was a huge plus. The bathrooms were nice & clean, they have miniature golf, the donkeys were enjoyable to pet & feed, and the store carried all the essentials. We had so much fun, and will be back next year!

Great Time! Fun activities for the kids..But the Pool Lady was Rude, "loved her power" , I understand there's safety issues at stake, but she could handle her job MUCH differently! We considered leaving, just because of her! She needs a Class on Polite Assertiveness!!

I adored how nice everyone seems to be around the camp ground! We visited some of the food vendors that stop in, took a quick dip in one of the swimming areas and enjoyed a couple of cookouts as it was a great way to spend a weekend. I look forward to my next trip with the family!

This is a nice little family campground built around an old gravel pit. Many nice grassy and level sites, some back up to the water. About 2/3 of the sites are seasonal. Maintenace could be better. Leaning light poles that dont work, dimly lit bathrooms and showers, and don't waste your time and money with the mini-golf. Alcohol is supposed to be kept on your site, but every evening people would take their golf cart cruise with drinks in hand, some appeared to have had too many before they hopped on their cart. We did like the several beaches around the campground.

Great campground for kids. They have a large playground section with all kinds of stuff for kids. Super friendly and helpful staff. Most campsites are larger than average and well maintained. Flat, grassy and some shade on most sites. We make it a point to camp here at least once a year.

An awesome Family owned and operated campground. Allot better than years ago when it was just 10 to 20 campers. Now there are so many people. Kids and golf carts on the weekend. Kids at heart on the weekdays. A great campground nice big grass lots. Not mounds of dirt. Petting zoo, many little parks and jungle gyms, two small swimming area and one huge swim area with inflatables, many rest rooms, responsible rates, nice camp store, putt putt golf, just so many things to do and enjoy!

Campground is nice with lots of activities. However, the flies are normally horrible at the end of August here. This year it was gnats instead. There was a poop smell several days depending on the way the wind was blowing. Several showers were cold, and the one that was hot, the light was broke.
