I'm from a small town with a podunk ice cream shop, I really appreciate the value with lower prices and bigger sizes that they have compared to DQ, where I for years now, even on a hot day with you paying I won't go, oh no. But I was just filled with disappointment on this my first trip to Sparta Tasty Treat. I was buying the ice cream for my workers too. So I get a Large sunday, doctored up, ready to get my sugar rush on. Mine was most expensive, everyone else's was bigger than mine! And I left ticked off, feeling ripped off, disappointed and just let down. How the heck is a large sunday so small? I mean cummon!! You should be ashamed, this is kiddie size. I might never come back.

Went tonight to get a shake, it was $7.75 for a large and it was the size of a McFlurry from McDonald’s. This place used to be our go to for ice cream, but you can get 2x that for a lower price at Culver’s. I definitely do not recommend this place.

What can you say? Ice cream is great on a hot day. The 2 girls that waited on us were polite and happy. Even with my 4 year old grandson. Weren't back yesterday, and they were still great even though it was festival day and we're supper busy.

Outside of being a little pricey, the staff is friendly most of the time. The older people there seem to be more friendly than the younger ones. However the ice cream is good, and it puts smiles (and a little bit of ice cream) on my family's faces and that's all that matters.

I have been here several times and every time has been disappointing. The ice cream literally tastes like it's reduced fat and is not worth the calories or the money. The size was also very disappointing. Ordered a large that is technically a medium/small in my opinion.

Our dog loved the puppy sunday at Tasty Treat. Ample parking and nice places to sit and enjoy our tasty treats amongst blossoming trees (down away from the busy street). Loved the chunky peanut butter shake, but wish they had mint chip. Almost perfect.

Bought 2 jr. Banana splits in a cup and a peanut royal! Prefer the banana splits in cups in case they start melting. Plus, for some reason I believe that the cups hold more than boats. Staff was awesome and fast!!

We decided to bring our 2 young ones down for ice cream this afternoon. We hadn't visited in a very long time so we weren't really familiar with the menu anymore. We asked a few questions to the girl working and, frankly, left me feeling like we're terribly inconvenienceing her for asking. I asked if they had anything like a blizzard and she said their chunky shakes were like that. We ordered a couple baby cones for the kids and chunky shakes for my husband and myself. The kids quickly received their cones and they were happy, I took them down to the tables while my husband waited for our items. He joined us pretty quickly and while it was warm out, our ice cream was basically melted already. I know it is called a chunky shakes, but I wasn't expecting a cup of milk and half full of mix. I wouldn't normally complain about the amount of mix ins in an ice cream, but I would have gotten the same affect by just eating a Heath bar. Not sure we will be back anytime soon.

Worse service I've ever had at an ice cream shop. The girl was not friendly at all and very rude.. ordered two hot dogs and two Chilli dogs and it took forever and we were the only customers 👎👎down from us.. definitely won't be going back..

Update: (This was the 4th of July week.)I think it should be called Nasty treat not Tasty treat in my personal opinion.I bought a strawberry milkshake and it was the worst I have ever tasted.I paid for it and on the way to the car I took 2 sips and before I could get to my car I tossed it in the trash. I will not be going back. I can't speak for the other ice-cream they serve but I hope its a 1,000 times better than the milkshake I got...

This place flat out sucks! Not only is customer service terrible but it’s $4.00 for a medium flurry that comes in a cup both my nads could fit in! 4 dollars anywhere else for a flurry will actually get you something decent! Overpriced and overrated! If you’re passing through just keep going.

Stopped today, got two sundaes and a special doggy sundae with a doggy biscuit on top! Tasted delicious & perfect for cooling down on a hot day for all three of us! 👍👍🐕

I brought my 5 year old grandson here for a treat. We came at a noon busy time No one else waiting and the young lady working the counter was very rude. She was short tempered with him and had him in tears. Not sure if i would ever go back. To be sorry tempered and rude with an adult is one thing but to tell a 5 year old to just make up his mind already because she had other things to do....she's lucky this grandma leads by example!

I had a sugar free butter pecan ice cream cone. It was TERRIBLE!!! The ice cream was old. It had been kept too long. It was very grainy. It tasted like I was eating sand. It had crystalized.

I used to have so many great memories at this place! Unfortunately, those times have passed. The Tasty Treat of my child is long gone! I stopped tonight to enjoy their homemade waffle cones with simple chocolate ice cream that I have come to know there.The two people working there were rude. All I was told is “We don’t have waffle cones.” Then another girl beside the guy said “We don’t have Flavorburst.” He parroted back to me what she said. Ummmm..... I never asked for Flavorburst. Next time, maybe they should listen to what a customer asks for and at least provide some sort of service to the customer. If they had actually been apologetic and polite, I might have considered trying something else. “I’m sorry, we no longer have waffle cones. Can I get you something else?” Would have gone a lot further with me. If I’m going to spend my money somewhere it’s going to be where I get good service and treatment.Tasty Treat, you’re not the only shop in town... bubye. #sorrynotsorry

Literally a line of people who had some that had been waiting over 20 minutes. 9p came and they turned everyone who had been waiting in line away. Never had a business do that. I get not letting new customers in but to turn away ones that have been waiting is ridiculous.

Poor service. Presentation was a no go. Icecream was falling an looked like they just slapped it on the cone. I was going to ask for another one but to many people behind me an wanted save the embarrassment. I was very unsatisfied.

A little pricey for the quality😞. All the butterscotch of my husband's malt was on the bottom, and all the chocolate and caramel of my turtle sundae was on the bottom....and we were the only two there.
