I’m a new dog owner and the staff at Banfield have been so supportive and helpful in helping me navigate life with my puppy. Not only do they answer all of my questions and concerns, but they make sure my nervous pup is calm and comfortable when he’s being seen. They’re always so kind and patient with him, and I appreciate it so much!

Ms Star and I usually have a good visit, last time wasn’t so good, front desk was very nasty to me and Star, I was so concern and upset with the treatment I called back with my complaint!, my baby had an reaction to comprehensive exam and had a gagging reaction when asked to speak to Doctor I was told no she’s busy with other??? Go home and bring my baby back tomorrow.

The daycamp staff is exceptional. They are always willing to go the extra mile for my pet. I always feel comfortable when my pet is there for the day or an overnight stay.

I am quite disappointed in the long phone wait time and the blatant disregard I received today while requesting an urgent anxiety prescription for my dog. The young lady over the phone didn't ask any questions or try to understand why there was urgency in my voice and request. I'd already spoken to another lady this morning who began the process of getting my dog his medicine ASAP. What Mackenzie didn't realize is I'm a long-term Banfield supporter. I'm on my 3rd dog (one lived to be 16 years old) and my 3rd "Special Care Wellness Plan." That's literally thousands of dollars I've spent with Banfield ($90/month for 13 years). I'm on holiday vacation and will not be patronizing this location nor recommending it. My home location in Montgomery, AL has ALWAYS been accommodating. Ms. Mackenzie at this Southfield location did no such thing. Banfield - Montgomery, AL may need to train Southfield on caring for their pets' needs and pet parents' urgent requests. Or at least learning to pretend to care over the phone.

The staff is really nice. My dogs did well there. The technician and doctor took time to listen to my dogs concerns and implementing a plan to resolve my dogs allergy issues. He's doing a lot better now.

Not a fan of my decision to not have my dog fixed , being questioned harshly. I said no, and thats the end. What about all the dog show dogs, I doubt it if the vets are badgering the owners strongly about having their dogs fixed. Dogs have to keep the bloodlines going , and I'm responsible pet parent.

Impossible to get a hold of them. When I tried calling to make an appointment for my senior cat's dental cleaning, they placed me on a "brief" 10min hold after which the call abruptly ended. I called back and was asked to sit on hold again. I said, "I was just placed on a hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on, so no, I just need to make an appointment" and the lady's response was "Oookay"... and she placed me on hold. AGAIN. With no explanation.I hung up after 15 minutes. It's like they don't want my money or something. My guy just needs his teeth cleaned...

These ladies are wonderful I came into the office in a crisis I was heartbroken, crying, overwhelmed, my pup passed away and I just didn’t know how to handle it. They helped me so made the process as smooth as possible, explained to me how everything works and also gave me a grief guide I really appreciate y’all not only that they told me where my baby would be located and that gave me a little peace

I've been taking my cats to Banfield Pet Hospital for the past few months, and unfortunately, my recent experiences with their customer service have been consistently disappointing.On multiple occasions, I've encountered long wait times when trying to reach them by phone. During one particular instance, I waited on hold for 25 minutes, only to be put on hold again when I called back, and then abruptly placed on hold yet again during my third call. It's disheartening when these issues go unaddressed, especially as a loyal customer.I had hoped that my experiences would improve over time, but, regrettably, they were worse. The prolonged wait times have negatively impacted my pet's well-being, and I believe that addressing these customer service issues is crucial to the overall satisfaction of clients.I've made the difficult decision to seek a new veterinary provider where I hope to receive a more efficient and attentive service. It's essential for pet owners to have peace of mind and confidence in their veterinary care, and unfortunately, my recent experiences have eroded that trust.

I love the location and the staff but for a relatively new facility, it smells terrible in there like it’s never been cleaned since it opened. I’ve been in two or three times this year and it really stinks. If they got a cleaning crew to mop the joint it would be perfect. Also, the doctor suggests every possible treatment known to man for your dog making your vet bill extremely high. They don’t really do process of elimination treatment here so it’s not as cost effective.

I'm not cool with dropping my pet off at some new office with new doctors that I haven't met, and they don't stress enough that they offer two choices drop off appointments in the morning , in office visits in the afternoon depending on clients preferences. Otherwise the Banfield office I visited is good, Brook, the vet tech is wonderful.

I set an appointment for a comprehensive exam, dropped my dog off and 4 hours later picked him up. Then, they told me that they had not done the comprehensive exam and told me that I had to make another appointment. Additionally, in a prior appointment they charged me for a service that was included in the insurance plan.

We went to Banfield initially out of a need for an immediate appointment. Admittedly, my expectations were low but my dog needed to be seen. When Chewie and I got to the office I quickly realized I had underestimated their capability based only on the fact that I thought a corporate operation couldn't be a great vet with pet focused care. Jessica, the vet tech, was an amazing glimmer of hope and instilled such confidence in me as we embarked on caring for our dog with newly diagnosed diabetes. Dr. Alampi was a tremendous resource and gave us caring and compassionate guidance while ensuring I felt like a part of the care team, not just a dog owner who was being pushed around. I never felt like there were aggressive sales tactics - in fact, the recommended plan purchase saved me over 60% off of my bill. We got accurate information and Chewie started to show signs of improvement almost immediately. I left with an arsenal of information and plans I could follow. I felt informed, heard, and that Chewie and I were both valued. If you're looking for a fast in and out situation, this is not the solution for you. If you want comprehensive, detailed, effective care... you need to come here. Patience and compassion are standard parts of the care plan, and that is something I haven't seen in many other vet clinics. Great for diabetic pets, pets with rare autoimmune conditions, old pets, pets who need weight management, and super anxious pet parents.
