The owner Shawn is amazing and so helpful. He really opened our eyes on what we were feeding our dog and how important it is to know what was actually in the food. I had NO idea how sick the big brand dog food market was until Shawn recommended the documentary “Pet Fooled”. Absolutely disgusting!!Thank you Earthwise, on top of excellent customer service, you truly care about the health of our animals and the food that us humans are serving them!!!

I cannot stress enough how valuable Earthwise Pet is to the pet community. They know their stuff! My dog had some allergy issues that the Vet was having a hard time treating. The folks over at Earthwise are incredibly knowledgeable in both Dog and Cat nutrition and has solved the allergy issue as well as supplied my dog with top quality food, supplements, and treats! Very thankful for the gentleman here. My almost 2 year old savannah cat, Osiris, had seemed off his food lately so I've been searching for alternatives. I was given a handful of samples to try; when those didn't work I brought Osiris in with me to see if anything piqued his interest. The owner was very generous in letting the cat try a few things in store. We bought a new toy & some other goodies, will return for sure.

My Coco needed renal diet food I didn’t realize my vets holiday hours and wouldn’t have enough food til Monday. I drove to Earthwise pet supply because I had heard such good things. The gentleman in the store, I believe the owner was so helpful he even looked on line and called a vet to help insure I bought what would not hurt Coco. When I went to the vet after the holidays he agreed with what I bought. Need to support this area store❤️❤️🙏

I recently move to the area from out of state, so I’ve had to establish new contacts for all my needs. Earthwise had been recommended by several people in the area for my little buddy’s needs. He is a senior dog, so, he has senior requirements. I’ve stopped in and talked with the store owner, Shawn Bakewell-owner, a few times already.Shawn is extremely knowledgeable and asks all the necessary questions before recommending ANY product. He offers multiple options for food and nutrition depending on your preference (dry, canned, freeze dried, nuggets, kibble). He does not try to steer you toward any particular product.Earthwise is locally owned small business and actively supports many other local and family owned businesses. I appreciate that in a business.They offer more than just nutritional foods. They have a grooming salon with talented groomers and quality grooming products, too.I appreciate Shawn’s friendly, informative, low keyed approach to sales. It’s a pleasure to do business with him and his friendly staff.I’m putting Shawn and Earthwise Pet at the top of my plus column. It’s an extreme pleasure doing business with you, Shawn.

Just had my first visit at Earthwise pet Store in South Lyon and I would give 100 Stars and all thumps up for them 😊 I found my people in the Neighborhood!Very great store with high quality supplies and finally someone ( Owners and Employee's) , who really understands the needs of our fur babies nutrition . knowledgeable, friendly and ready to go the extra mile with the perfect advice to make the world better for animals.I was searching a long time to buy all the stuff for my Fur - Baby and couldn't find all in one store.We all work together in the animal field and this conversation of great stores are going on and when you have to drive to 5 stores + ordering online just to fullfill all needs, it's getting anoying really quick.This search ended today There is a huge difference between this store and my fully satisfaction compared to everyone else out there !Shop Local ! I took my dog, Cali, there today for a nail trim and was very pleased with this place! The staff was so welcoming and kind. Cali had a bad experience at a previous groomer so she is very anxious and nervous when it comes to getting a pawdicure. Tammy was so patient with her and let me go back with her to help ease her nerves. I can’t recommend EarthWise enough. We will absolutely be returning in the near future!

I just wanted to share my experience with one of our local businesses Earthwise Pet in South Lyon and the owner Shawn Bakewell. If you are a pet owner and have not yet checked out his store, I absolutely recommend that you do, he is located in the Kroger complex at 8 Mile & Pontiac Trail.2 years ago this December one of our dogs started getting health issues and we had a lot of problems getting her to eat, but we needed a specific type diet, she had been on a Vet RX diet for years. My husband had stopped in Earthwise one evening and met the owner Shawn, after a long discussion, my husband came home and said you need to go up tomorrow and meet this guy, so I did. Shawn probably spent 45 minutes with me giving me an education & facts on dog food, it was jaw dropping, we as pet owners think we are doing the right thing, but we are not.I explained our dog’s health issues, he recommended some products, gave me some samples, said he has a 100% guarantee on his products if she didn’t like, we could return them (BTW, we have not returned one product yet, everything has been fantastic). He also gave me information & encouraged me to investigate some of the things we talked about for myself. Honestly, it was quite shocking, unsettling, & disturbing what is in our pet’s food & how these companies are allowed to get away with it, even RX food, and it doesn’t matter if it’s the cheapest on the shelf or the most expensive RX, google the ingredients of your current food, its eye opening, and we wonder why our pets are getting riddled with disease. Recently, we have seen 2 separate specialists at 2 different facilities, and I discussed food with both, almost verbatim, both confirmed everything I have investigated myself and what Shawn has told me these past 2 years.Every time I go in, Shawn asks me for updates & how my fur-babies are doing; if I’m looking for new/other products he right there educating me on the product, what it does, what’s in it, whether it takes 5 minutes or a half hour, he spends as much time necessary, so I am getting the best products possible to help my little ones health condition & overall health.He carries a large assortment of Brands, foods, flavors, supplements, frozen, freeze-dried, toys, treats, etc., and also has grooming services; his prices are great & very comparable to other types of stores like this, in fact we were using Vet RX wet/dry foods for years (different variety’s for different ailments & stages of life) and actually we are now spending less money and they are now eating clean/healthy food; we have absolutely noticed a change in them, their personality, their spunk, & weight. If you haven’t stopped in yet, you don’t know what you’re missing truly, this is a GEM of a Pet Store in our Community on top of supporting local businesses, but the knowledge Shawn shares is immeasurable & honest, he is just a nice/great guy, and genuinely cares about your pet.Thanks for everything Shawn, just felt compelled to leave you an updated review after 2 years of coming into your store, buying many products and brands, all the knowledge you have shared I can’t even begin to Thank You & me now buying great clean/healthy products. Because of you, I began a pet food journey (who knew) I look at all ingredients now & am a firm believer, people really need to realize what they are feeding their pets daily, my dogs will never again eat anything but healthy clean food & you have a lifelong customer.

This store is AMAZING!!! The owner and the workers are so full of helpful knowledge, the products are above and beyond my expectations. I have been feeding my dogs raw for years and this store has real food for my pups! They have great organ treats, other options for flea and tick, CBD for pets, and more! I only moved here less than two years ago and when I found Earthwise right down the street from Greener Pastures I knew I was where I'm supposed to be. Thank God there are like-minded people like you Shawn and Julielyn! I tell everyone about your store!

I went just to check it out and Shawn was so friendly and helpful right from the start! He is very knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about the pets overall well-being. He helped me bounce around ideas of food choices and ways to occupy my dog who’s not super food motivated. 10/10 would recommend!
