The staff have a dedication to their duty that is above reproach. Their Non-Dairy! yes you heard that correctly the plethora of non dairy and it was not just sorbet (although if you like that they have those as well) my beautiful wife to be is vegan and had nothing but a smile on her face while enjoying her non dairy ice cream!! I loved the good ole with dairy personally but both were amazing for sure

The ice cream is amazing! The problem is the lack of customer service. Came in about a week ago, I was really weighing if I wanted to say something about this or not, ordered my ice cream and asked for a new scoop because I have an allergy. The owner had then informed me, as he was scooping my ice cream, that I need to stick with soft serve during the summer time because they won’t be accommodating. When questioned if a new allergy scoop could be provided he mumbled no under his breath. When I told him, he didn’t need to worry about my business in the summer he realized his statement was quite loud. The woman that was next to him tried to say the teenagers that worked there in the summer wouldn’t be able to keep up if they had to accommodate to people’s allergies. I worked at Sherman’s from ages 14-18 and never told anyone they couldn’t have the ice cream, shake, or flurry they wanted during the summertime because we wouldn’t be accommodating. This situation really rubbed me the wrong way and trying to point blame on the people THEY hired irked me. I hope they can do better because I do enjoy the ice cream, but the entire conversation was unnecessary.

first ice cream shop with no strawberry topping for sundaes ever. So opted for blueberries and somehow hot fudge included-odd combo. Service was courteous though. Sat inside, chairs missing foot pads so very wobbly. Otherwise ice cream ok.

Your classic ice cream joint. Plenty of options. Sampling is encouraged. Waffle conesade on site. The staff is wonderful and the servings are generous. Well worth the stop any day, but especially on a warm summer evening.

The ice cream was delicious! I had cookies and cream. We also had banana pudding. The lady working made my wife a magnificent pumpkin pie “monster shake” with a real small piece of pumpkin pie on top! Highly recommend. Staff was efficient and friendly. Perfect vibe for your Southaven experience:)

The ice cream was to die for! We ate there 3 different times during our visit to SoHo. Sea Monster was my favorite! My family loved all of their ice cream! The portions were so big, worth your money. The staff was so friendly & service was so fast! Such a cute little shop with an old 50’s diner feel to it, loved it!

It's not Nemo's anymore. Prices are higher, portions are smaller, and it's not just Sherman's Dairy brand from SH (though the other brands are from MI). No food. Customers don't get to use bathrooms. 3 big screen "menu's" but they don't list all the flavors and the list is only shown briefly before changing to advertising. Just leave it up so we can pick a flavor before getting to the counter! Just a tourist shop now.

Our server was great for recommendations. Pricing was good. We had 2 large scoops of ice cream in a fresh made waffle cone for $7.50. Michigan Mud Hole was amazing!!

Stopped in South Haven for a relaxing day at the beach, and what beach trip is not complete without ice cream?! The choices were plentiful, the staff friendly, and the shop was clean! Would recommend to anyone traveling or local to visit!

A bit pricey, but oh so worth it. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. Lots of options, even vegan and dairy free ones! I highly recommend going here. I had the banana pudding and the yellow cake batter in a waffle one. Worth every penny.

My boyfriend and I didn't get any ice cream this time, but it looked delicious and we will probably go back. 🙂 We each got a sandwich and shared some onion rings. I had the ham and cheese croissant which was delicious and bf got a turkey sub that he liked and it was HUGE. The onion rings are beer battered and amazing! Definitely a nice lunch spot!

I had gotten a referral to come here when we were in town visiting so we gave it a shot (I actually thought this was Sherman’s Dairy Bar, because it said Sherman’s on the sign, that was my fault. So we actually tried the wrong place). It is not what I expected when we walked in. It was dark and kind of dingy, there was a place to get in line (but there wasn’t one when we got there). Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. The staff was very pleasant and patient with my family of six while we ordered and decided what to get and asked many many questions. I ended up getting a cherry flavor ice cream with chocolate ribbonsh, in a cup and it was pretty good. My kids loved their selections and so did my husband. We sat and ate inside at a little table and at the bar looking out the window at the street. Disappointed in the last luster inside but for a quick ice cream treat, not bad.

Fantastic ice cream. I highly recommend bumpy cake and sea monster. Cute shop with a variety of honey, syrup, and snacks. A must stop by if you’re walking through town!!

Great ice cream joint! More upscale vibe than my beloved Captain Nemo's, but Sherman's ice cream is back in town!!! Love all the Sherman's ice cream and waffle cones - highly recommend if you're in the area!

Waited in a massive line for 30 minutes (4th of July weekend), they did a great job of keeping the line moving. Even with all the traffic they seemingly had everything in stock and all employees were kind even showing joy in their jobs. Worth the wait!

Really disappointed in this place that tried to replace Nemo's they have multiple coolers inside and are selling beverages you can get in a grocery store rather than cooking sandwiches and meals like Nemo's used to...... we went there today and the store was closed on August 15th due to a little bit of rain, while all the other shops were open on the main Boulevard. I guess Nemos is a hard pair of shoes to fill.

Serving Ashby, Sherman Dairy, and a few Guernsey ice creams. Decent little ice cream shop with some unique / unusual offerings (e.g. honey lavender ice cream, espresso waffle cone). A little pricey for the quantity you get compared to THE Sherman Dairy, but usually a Sherman Dairy visit requires quite a wait thru an enormous line in the summer and we didn't have that experience at South Pier, so, take that as you will. Of course the location of South Pier is more convenient if you're already downtown too.

Creamy Banana, marshmallow fluff, Nilla wafer goodness. These people have a blue cow why wouldn’t the ice cream be awesome?! Highly recommended. They also have dairy free ice cream that was curling my wife’s toes better then I can so there ya go.

Delicious ice cream, especially the flavors from Sherman's. The prices are hard to find in the menu screens. After buying 3 ice creams, found out my daughter has to walk two blocks to the city bathroom.

So this is the joint that replaced Captain Nemo's, and I could not be more disappointed. I've been going to Nemo's for 35 years and it was literally my favorite place to eat on this earth.The food here is awful (it actually made me sick). There's practically no seating, and they no longer offer bathrooms for customers. I might be wrong, but I think it's illegal to serve food and not have a bathroom. At least it is in Indiana, not sure about Michigan. In any case, serving food without an available bathroom is a horrible practice.I read a news article about the woman who bought Nemo's. She was going on about how much she loved it, and I'm sitting here like if you loved it so much why did you ruin it?
