Came during the off season and it was still beautiful just a bit chilly. Off-road parking, restrooms, and waste & recycle containers on site with stairs leading down to the beach. Walkable trail connecting to Miners Castle Rock. The beautiful trail is about a mile long with a somewhat steep elevation change about halfway. Passed family with children walking the trail as well.

This beach was absolutely stunning!!! Because it's nestle right between Miners Castle and Elliott Falls, it has an abundance of rocks, if you are rock hunting. Beautiful stones! We went on a Saturday afternoon Labor day weekend and it was super packed. No parking at all. It was a short 5-10 minute hike to the beach. There's also a wooden stairway to the beach, definitely not stoller or wheelchair accessible.

The coolest sand is on miners Beach. It is thicker than normal sand so doesn't blow all over and it is so pretty. Flat rocks with a over flow on another side of the sand that the kids really loved. You can also walk the rock wall to find caves with a rope to swing we didn't go with the little ones but heard it was awesome.Enjoyed watching a beautiful wedding which brought us to the beautiful Upper peninsula of Michigan.

This is my favorite place in the world. Photos from October 16th, 2021. The sound of the waves, the way the earth pulls at you, the warm sand underfoot- its all so serene. I love picking up rocks at this beach, battered by Superior herself, each tells a story. I don’t live close anymore but I’ll be back for sure.

Easily one of the most memorable places I’ve ever been in my lifetime. Leaving all I could wonder is when the next time I might return. Breathtaking views and plenty of space to claim on the beach. The sand might be a little warm, the water will fox that. Parking was a bit crowded, however it looked like they were constructing a new parking area. Didn’t cost anything to access the beach. The walk down could be a bit difficult for those with mobility issues.

Worth the little walk down to the beach. There is a set of stairs that takes you down to the water. If you turn to the left, there’s a small body of water and a creek with a trail. My dad and I almost missed it and it was probably my favorite area of the whole park.

This is my favorite beach in Michigan. You can't beat swimming with Pictured Rocks as your backdrop and walking along the shoreline with smooth colorful rocks on the waters edge to look through. I love that this beach is dog-friendly and we were able to have a beach day with our pup there. There is no cell service which honestly was great. We didn't even read the books we brought... we were too busy just relaxing and taking in the beauty.

Gorgeous beach. Kayaking company was happily sending people on their journey to Pictured Rocks. Sand is like powdered sugar, which is great for a short walk, but a long walk...Two parking lots. If you take the walk from the smaller one it comes right out by Elliot Falls.

Oh. My. God. For perspective here, I have to say that have traveled quite a bit in my time. I lived in Sicily, Hawaii, California and Florida, to name a just few top locations. This beach is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I have ever been. I was completely awestruck by the cliffs at pictured rocks , the crystal clear water, the clean sand beach....just absolutely gorgeous. Michigan's Upper Peninsula continues to impress and I look forward to experience more in this part of the state. I truly cannot wait to return. Thank you Miner's Beach for a memory I will forever cherish.

Very cool area and one of the best parts of our hike around the trail. The water feel great this time of year (early September) and for us the weather was perfect. You can park not to far from the beach and there are great views elsewhere down the trail as well. Great trip if you’re looking doe some hiking and swimming.

If you want to get up close and personal with a different view of Pictured Rocks, I recommend this immensely! Not busy (mid-July), clearest water, colorful smooth stones. When we walked into the beach we walked to the right- all the way to the end! You will find such mysterious and cool wooden structures people have put together and drift wood. You also might be lucky to see Elliot Falls, the tiniest water fall I’ve ever hiked to- about 1 feet tall, dripping down a small rock, haha! Extremely cold water, so we did not swim, but I could have stayed here for days!

Picture Rocks is a beautiful area and deserved more time than we could spent, but it was a nice time. We got there in the evening, so just spent time walking the beach, which wasn't easy due to the makeup of the "sand". Growing up on the south shore of lake Michigan, I'm used to a finer grain sand at the beach. Sand at Miner's Beach was more like pea gravel and was not at firm as the sand. We also encountered biting flies, which were a bother. It was still a really pretty visit.

A very raw natural beach. Loved it so much it was one of my favorites of our trip. The rocks varied in colors as the water glided over them. The sun setting the back ground was jaw dropping. So very beautiful.

Seriously, doesn’t even feel like it’s Michigan. This was my first time seeing Lake Superior and I was NOT disappointed. Absolutely gorgeous views between the rocks. Sand was clean and white. You can get right onto some of the rocks and in doing so, I found a natural spring!

Beautiful location! We went hiking and the views were amazing! Well-built welcome areas with info about the location were a nice touch. And the beach was gorgeous too🤩

I'm originally from Florida so I love the beach and this is as close as I've been to the Sunshine State beach in a long time. Very beautiful and well maintained. Come for a picnic and stay for the scenery.

Pristine. It's not bustling but fairly busy. The hike from the upper overlook was great as well. Colorful agates (?) are scattered in the shallows, polished over millennia. And ofc, observe, but never take these gems!

Clean beach with easy access from the parking lot. One of a couple starting points to kayak out to Pictured Rocks. Great sunsets that overlook Grand Island.

Nice scenery. Plenty of beach area- not very wide, but long. Parking is very limited. The incline from parking down to water is a bit tough for anyone with physical limits. The guided kayak tours launch from here, so they are being moved up and down the walkway, pretty much taking it over.

Miners Beach is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Enjoy a picnic or walk through the jack pine forest or have some fun-in-the-sun swimming in Lake Superior! See our full review at YouTube: Mancl Adventures: Best Things To Do at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Made a six and a half hour drive to get here and it was worth every minute. So beautiful. Nice walk way to the beach and it looks like they are in the process of upgrading the stairs down to the beach. Nice soft sand and the clearest water I have ever seen. Can't wait to go back!

Great place to relax on the beach. Nice and sandy with some rocks. Don't set up too close to the shore because when the tour boats go by there wake will drench you and your stuff😂 Almost watched a baby get carried away so FYI.

Excellent little beach. Head to the west on the beach and there is an awesome spot to take pictures with the family near some cool rock formations and a small river.

Great spot to put kayaks in and shoot up the shore to Mosquito beach. Trip can be done in a morning (assuming the wind isn't against you in either direction). Beware of wind! Look for a day that has <5 mph wind, preferably from the SE, and no storm potential.
