Bought a teddy bear puppy a year and a half ago.....Had to put her down this past week at 1 1/2 years old. Broke my kids heart. Vet said she was in kidney failure. Ultra sound revealed she was born with 2 abnormal kidneys. Now I am certain these dogs are from a puppy mill. They do not sell healthy dogs! They told me once she passed they would give me a new puppy! Seriously?? Never offered to help pay vet bills but want to give another dog??? Don't take a chance like I did! Its not worth the pain I put my kids through! Do your homework and find a good breeder!

I find it interesting that most of the folks giving a one star review here have never been to Shaggy Dog!! My dogs have been safely groomed there for over 30 years. The owner coached me through training a wild rescue dog not purchased there. The people who work there are kind and love animals. Now, because of a terribly sad accident and subsequent witch hunt by horrible people who claim to love animals but apparently have no regard for humans, lives and reputations are being attacked by strangers. Don't believe their lies.

Love this place!!!! Very professional, clean and I personally purcahsed our first healthy puppy from this location several years ago. Also found the grooming services offered by Shaggy Dog to be awesome. I did my reasearch before buying my first puppy from here and found that after decades in business only a few people had anything negative to say and the overwhelming positives well surpassed anything negative. So after dog number 1 we ended up getting a second puppy a year later from this same store.

This place sells very sick puppies with parvovirus. You won't know they are sick until shortly after you get them home where you'll quickly realize that your beloved new family member is very I'll and needs emergency veterinary care whichever will cost you hundreds, if not thousands. When you call Donna, the owner, she will refuse any responsibility. This place also groom's and has had dogs die from being soaked in chemicals. Google it; it's verifiable. Please do not support this horrible business! Let's shut their doors once and for all so no more dogs have to suffer because of this awful place!

It's been a long time since I have bought a puppy, but my dog hush puppy that I got at shaggy dog lived a very happy very long life. He passed away a few years ago at a very ripe old age of 14. I would go back in a heart beat. They truly care about the puppies and their new families.

V Ignoring the adopt don't shop person, there are really good dogs here and they are well taken care of. We got two dogs from this shop in 2012 and these dogs must have been bred well because neither dog has suffered from any sort of severe health defects or anything in the few years they have been a part of our life. We got a Puggle named Pugsy and a Teddybear named Fuzzy and both of these little darlings have been amazing.The owners of this place also are very, very nice and are willing to help you with what you need. They let you pet the puppies they have there and offer advice on what to purchase for the dog. I went inside asking what kind of harness to get for the dogs and they picked one off the shelf saying the harness is good for the dog to prevent them from breaking free and running off.Honestly, if you want a newborn puppy, you should shop here, or if you are conscious, you can adopt a dog at a local shelter. Either way these little ones need our love. :)

It's been a pleasure dealing with shaggy dog!!! I purchased three dogs over a 10 year span. I have always used there grooming for all my dogs and never had an issue! The staff and owner are amazing!! Love this place😊

I agree with Mark! Shop is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Puppies are a joy to watch playing and having fun! Don't hesitate to buy a puppy from Shaggy Dog!

I purchased my my dog here several years ago. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience and about how helpful the owner and the staff always are. I would trust and highly recommend this business to anyone looking to purchase a puppy.

The business practices of this store have been horrible for a long time. Not knowing any better, my mother bought a puppy for my cousin. Not too long after, the puppy died from parvo. This store needs to be shut down. It is long overdue.

They won't let you touch the dogs. Kinda weird because if I wanted to get one I would like to hold it or touch it and check it out first somethings wrong with this store and the people working there look at you like you shouldn't even be there. The dogs look so sad when you walk in but as soon as they see you it's like they look at you like save me from this horrible place. I don't think they should be in business. It's not a place you feel welcomed in either.

I got my Chihuahua from Shaggy Dog years ago. As a Chi, she is the most loving and passive dog I've ever owned... and yet, becomes Super Dog as she chases squirrels around the yard.We just LOVE her! Thanks Shaggy Dog!

We got our dog from there. He's a healthy pure bred. The people there were knowledgeable, caring, and friendly. The dogs seemed well cared for. Would highly recommend.

I recently bought two puppies and they've really been a joy very healthy and Full of joy I love how they don't cage their puppies they keep them in exercise pen so you can view them and watch them interact

Took my white maltese there and got a phone call a couple hours later saying my dog wasnt listening. My dog was half shaved with flees everywhere. Also my dog wouldnt even go outside to the bathroom for a month because she was scared we were going to take her back!

Horrible Horrible Horrible. Please do not do business with them. They should be charged. I am making formal complaints everywhere and with every department I can. My puppy is drying because of them. We have had him for 5 days!

Would give this 0 zero if possible horrible place never bring your animals here they don’t care about your pets here they mistreat them stuff into cages where they can hardly fit very unsanitary place and all of their puppies have parvovirus it has been shared all over Facebook this place needs to be shut down and the owner Donna don’t even get me started on her one of the worst people I have met in my life never bring your anaimals here SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.
