People are friendly but there warranty on fish is stupid 48 hours when other fish store offer 30 days for a fish that dies. Also was very rudely cut off by owner and just offered a free fish instead of listening to what I had to say. Staff recommended a product that ended up killing my fish and looked up online that you cannot use this product with the fish says on Google . Staff needs better training on products and fish.

Before making a purchase at fish store, I recommend verify price beforehand. It's very frustrating to invest time and effort to go there and find out that the price has doubled from what was displayed. This experience has deterred me from revisiting the store in the future.After traveling all the way from Farmington Hills, I found the discrepancy between the advertised price and the actual price at the fish store to be unacceptable. Despite being initially told that a fish was $10, upon selecting another fish and reaching the counter, I was quoted $30, despite the tank displaying a price of $14.99. Additionally, the rudeness of the shop owner's demeanor was unexpected and unwarranted, especially given the respectful treatment I've received at other establishments in the Detroit area.

This is a really nice store. The aquariums are well maintained and the fish seem healthy. I purchased 6 fish 2 weeks ago and all are doing well. I am so happy I found this store and I will definitely be back.

I just ended a phone call with the owner, our 40 gal fish tank needs to be resealed, and we were looking for a place that might store our fish. Unfortunately he couldn't, but he was so informative, he took the time to engage in the conversation and didn't give me the brush off. I have not been to this store yet, but you can bet he will have my business!

Stood there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to help me but the 3 guys at the counter were too busy talking about what they were doing this weekend. Said excuse me twice and they ignored me.. Then saw someone walk out from the back and I asked if he could help me he put up a finger and walked away.. Waited another 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me so I left.. The 2 cats were more friendly than any of the people in there! What a shame because I was looking to give the bonded pair of guinea pigs that have been there since August of 2023 a home!! Sorry piggies!

I went here as a kid for all my hamsters and gerbils, so I’m glad to see they are still open. I was recently back for some freshwater fish. They had a great selection and I’ll definitely be back! Also had an impressive saltwater room.

Great selections of bunnies, Guinea pigs, hamsters, and various other rodents. There's plenty of reptiles, too. The aquatic selection is the best I've ever seen. I felt like I was at SeaLife at the mall! The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgable. They have the lowest prices around, and even have a rewards program! Where have they been all my life?!

UPDATE 5-18-22David Kee and I have deduced that I have been coming here since the first week they opened their doors in 1988.I've decided that since my work schedule will be keeping me local from now on that I am going to set up a new mini-reef tank!David hooked me up with an awesome all-in-one setup for a great price! Just got it set up last night and when I'm ready for fish Kee's will be the only place I go.

I pretty much just go here to visit Buddy the parrot and look at the adorable bunnies, kitties, and chinchillas. Do be warned, they only play Christian music so be prepared to listen to music about Jesus. I bought some treats for my dog that he loves, they were reasonably priced considering they were a local brand or something nice like that. If you want to pet the bird, i suggest you direct him to the top of his cage and then wait for him to bite the bars, this means hes ready for you to pet him.

I purchased a driftwood from them worth of 80$. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit in my tank. Within a day i called them and asked if i can return and get another one they said NO. They said if I submerged into the water they will not take it back. I am afraid of them now.Update:As per the reply from the store I went back to the store to replace it and they denied the return. So frustrating. I will never comeback to this place again. Be aware of this place. If you can’t fulfill your promise why are you making it

They are by far the best place to buy fish, driftwood, aquatic plants, and anything fish related near me. All top quality fish and plants, though they aren't just local fish store they're the best thing I've got.

FAVORITE PET STORE EVER. Support this business over chains. My hamster loves their flavored sticks. By far the best part is the fish aquariums and the two cats that basically live there. Worth it to just walk in and look around even if you don’t want to buy anything. Very knowledgeable staff that is super friendly. Felt like I was at home.

Used to be an amazing store, but now it's dirty, smells like cat pee, the employees are rude and unwelcoming. Animal cages look dirty, and the aquariums look unkempt and were full of nuisance snails.

I've been looking for a quality pet shop to find some decorations for my leopard geckos enclosure and I'm glad I found this place. The people are extremely nice and the prices are fair. I think I got quite a bit of stuff for less than 60 dollars to completely transform the tank. My Leo and I are extremely happy. 5 stars for sure.

I came in today with my son to get food for his tarantula and his brothers leopard gecko. I had forgot my card at home 🤦 and the gentleman behind the counter paid for the food out of his own pocket and trusted me to come back tomorrow. Very good quality pet food and very qenuine people. I will never go anywhere else ever. Sweet sweet man, even though I had said I'd be right back he said no worries come back tomorrow .

I love this store! I got my fish tank from here over a year ago and get most of my fish from here. I just went back today to pick up some mollies and treats for my fish and it was great. Every-time I go a younger gentleman with long brown hair helps me out and he is great. I wish I got his name! Anyway I totally recommend this place for people wanting to start the fish keeping hobby!
