This place is the best! My husband and I decided a spur of the moment camping trip after my dad died to get away and find peace. This was the best choice! Tess and Josh were both so welcoming. We have been back a few times already since. Already thinking of making a longer trip next year. Thank you for having such a great place to get away and be right on the river when I wake up.

The absolute best campground out there !!!If you want to feel like home then this is it. Beautiful people. Tess and Josh are amazing. The owners are the greatest!!! So peaceful and right on the Pere Marquette River, this is the only place we camp. Close to Ludington for those who like to get out to eat, shop or visit Lake Michigan. We highly recommend Henry's Landing.

If you're considering camping here...do it!! I LOVE Henry's Landing. We chose it after a Google search 5 years ago and have returned every year. The owners are great people. They make it a one-stop-shop for camping and floating/canoeing/kayaking down the Pere Marquette. The transportation to the launch is included in rental cost (but tips are appreciated!) Located a about 15 min east of Ludington, it's easy to get to off of 31. *fun fact: the liquor store in Scottville and Hungry Howie's delivers to the campground

This place is top notch! My parents kayaked twice here and raved about it and when we came up to stay in the area they couldn't wait to take us. It was every bit as wonderful as they described. Probably the most quiet, peaceful, and beautiful kayaking experience we've had. Easy going river and easy for anyone with out experience. The staff here are great. All very friendly and really care about you ensuring a great experience down to every detail. Loved the music on the bus. Bus was very clean. They even helped push you off. It was also very nice he mentioned to put the cushion to be used for your back rather than the seat. That made it more comfy. Definitely would recommend this!!!

This was a great campground! We stayed for the weekend and had a blast. If you're into tubing or kayaking, the campground sits right on the river. They have tube and kayak rentals or you can bring your own! Tube rentals were $12 bucks and a free shuttle ride to the drop off spot. If you bring your own it's $7 for the shuttle. The shuttle leaves every hour atarting at 10am. If you have a big party you should reserve tubes. We did the float in about 5 hours due to stopping at spots on the way down. I believe without any stops it's a 4 hour ride. It's a great family place but also nice if you're just trying to get away from it all!

Very welcoming. Extremely clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this place. Campsites aren't huge but they are right on the water so its a fair tradeoff. Host couldn't have been nicer. Will definitely be back here. Had power and water at the site. Not a single issue here. Very quiet and had a great night sleep even in a tent.

Josh was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and honest when it came to local Salmon fishing! He helped out a couple of newcomers and acted more as a teacher rather than just a baitshop salesman. By far the best experience we've had at a tackle shop, would highly recommend!

Every year our family ( cousins, aunts and uncle's etc) plans a 7 day camping trip to different locations. This year we decided on Henry's Landing Campground and we absolutely LOVED it there. Every hook up site is water front so you can wake up and cast your line out right at your camp fire (if you're a fishermen). With the Campground only having 41 sites, it makes it very quite and peaceful, which I loved even more. Ludington beach is literally a straight shot 8 miles down the road. Tess and Josh were GREAT, very accommodating to any of our needs. The campground store is wonderfully priced, they dont jack up their prices like other campground stores. They have a beautiful cornhole area and host cornhole tournaments every Saturday evening for the campers. Campground is very clean, and family oriented. If you want to campground Ludington, but don't want to be around all the tourists and craziness, I highly recommend camping at Henry's Landing Campground.

This is an amazing campground with exceptional customer service. We enjoy our stay here. The owners were wonderful and the campground is very family oriented. Everyone there was so friendly. It is definitely a campground to visit multiple times! This is one of the cleanest and best kept ones I've seen the owners Tess and Josh make you feel so welcome.

This river is not super clean or super dirty. It’s probably 6/10 clean.The river is full of drunk people but we just went by them. I don’t drink and I was with my kids and wife.Tip: the river moves steady. Not slow and not fast. Lots of trees to avoid.There is a rope to swing from about 1 hour into the ride.The family who owns this is really great. The kayak song made our trip.The water temp was perfect for 80 degree day.There are lots of shady spots. Not too many bugs in august.It’s not deep. It’s about 3 feet deep in most spots.You can canoe. Tube or kayak.

Awesome experience! We were looking for a nice, chill, clean river to kayak and we were so lucky to find Henry’s Landing. Tess and Josh were so very friendly and fun! Tess checked us in and then Josh dropped us off with the kayaks up river and we paddled (mostly floated) back. The river was not real deep and was mostly all sandy bottom which was perfect for little pit stops to swim. We didn’t camp but commented on what an awesome little community it seemed like. Thanks to Tess and Josh! What a great place!

We rented two kayaks from here. It was affordable and we had a great time on the river.The owners went above and beyond, very kind and friendly people! My partner had never been kayaking before and the man who drove the shuttle gave him some great tips. Near the end of our trip a storm rolled in and the gentleman from the shuttle came past us on his boat to check on us and the others on the river. It was completely unexpected and really shows how much they care about their patrons.Will definitely go here in the future when we are in the area!

This was my family's first ever canoeing adventure. Josh and Tess were awesome host. They are super friendly and give you a warm friendly welcome, as soon as you enter their store. Their equipment is nice and updated. The campground is very welcoming and upkept. This was an awesome experience. We will be back!

FANTASTIC EVERYTHING!I have been camping all over Michigan, both the UP and lower and NO ONE does camping like Tess and Josh, owners of Henry's Landing! They are professional, friendly, accommodating and all around great people! They remember their customers too!!! The campground is always clean, well kept and just a great place to stay!!! They always go out of their way to accommodate everyone.

This is the first time staying here. We stayed there the 3rd week of Oct (the last week they were open) and it was very nice and peaceful. We had the park to our selves. As seniors it perfect for us. Tess and Josh are perfect park attendants. Very friendly and helpful. I would think during summer months it would be a very popular spot. We plan on going back.

Best campground you will find in Mason County!!! Very friendly, family owned and never a dull moment right on the river. Kayaks are available to rent and they even take you up river with your gear on their bus. Then it's a trip down the river at your pace back to your campsite.

Love coming to this place with my friends. They introduced me to the awesome owners and I saw first hand how friendly they are. The place is relaxing and everyone is really friendly. Wish I could come up there every weekend and grill kafta and enjoy some hookah. Every site has its own water and electric supply. Firewood is available on site and kayak transportation is available too with rentals.

I knew I liked Tess just over the phone, when I got to the campground, even more so! One of my BFF's camping with us even asked "Do you know her?" because it did seem like she was another friend, so nice and welcoming. Josh was equally amazing, I was lurking outside the office area just waiting for a friend and he thought I needed something from the store and offered to open up after hours for me. I was concerned about the "coin operated" shower. One would've thought I was set up for minute-to-win-it with my shampoo/conditioner bottles open and game face on, but I had so much time I felt like I was wasting water and shut it off before it could even "run out".Great experience!

Tess was very friendly and easy to work with. We would not recommend tubing. We were expecting a nice and easy four hour float but it was four hours of hard labor dodging downed trees. Scenery was nice. We saw bald eagles and a box turtle.
