Super, super happy with the quality of care I have gotten here thus far (Dr. Jim was great on my first visit), the useful appointment reminders they have setup, and the online portal to keep track of your pet(s).Along with the user friendly operations, the cost for care here is very reasonable and I am so happy they are close to me.Clean and well maintained facilities that I plan to also use if I ever get a dog.

We have taken every dog that we've had in the last 30 years to this place. They have been very dependable and friendly. Always given us good advice. Just took our little yorkie to get her shots and license for 2018. She is 4 and a half years old and on this check up they recommended that we have her teeth cleaned so we made the appointment. Great place to do business.

Wait times were very long near the beginning of the pandemic, but they've gotten better recently. My most recent appointment was perfectly on time, even though it was later in the day. Had a great experience with the vet and the techs. Hoping my next visit is just as good as the last.

Some of the Vets are excellent... Some are less than excellent. Overall I've always received the care my dog and cat need, though I sometimes feel like (when it comes to specific veterinarians) I'm not being listened to, my concerns are not taken seriously, or I've been given provably false information when it comes to prices of medication and cause of illnesses in my pets.Once again, these complaints are only concerning specific veterinarians. In contrast, Dr. Chenoweth has always been incredibly helpful, honest, and kind when working with my pets.

Honestly really disappointed because I've been trying to get into this vet for over 2 years now. We moved to Schoolcraft in 2019 right before COVID hit. They weren't taking new patients for over a year because of it, which I understand. I've been patient and checked in with them every 3-6 months to see if they were taking new patients, and finally last November 2021 they said they were. The soonest I could get in was January 2022. I set up the appointment not being warned that they do not allow patients in the lobby. Being a new patient obviously I want to be able to see the facility where my animals will be treated. I want to meet the doctor and nurses who will be handling my animals. I have been to bad vets in the past an am wary of using a new one. I tried to explain this and asked if they knew if there was a plan to go back to in person in the near future, to which Lauri told me she has "no clue" and she "didn't know what to tell me." So becoming frustrated I asked if I would be charged for cancelling due to this miscommunication. Luckily I had set up the appointment before they changed their policy where you have to put down a deposit for appointments now, or else I would have been charged. Every company has been affected by COVID in some way so I was trying to be understanding but I feel like that was not reciprocated. This experience made me feel like they don't care about new patients as they even said they "can barely handle the ones they have now." Judging by how busy the parking lot was for my scheduled appointment, that much is true. This whole experience didn't give me confidence in the care my animals would receive. I've heard nothing but good things about this vet, and am really let down. At this point I have given up on using them as a local vet, I will just keep driving to Portage. So if you are in a similar situation and looking for a personable vet to use long term, I would not recommend this one.

My family has been going here for longer than I've been alive, our pets have always gotten great care here and the prices are competitive. I knocked off one star because their current clinic flow process is less than efficient and could really use some work - COVID closed the clinic lobby a year ago, it should not take nearly 2 hours including multiple calls between myself and clinic staff while I'm in the parking lot and waiting 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for my pet to be collected from my vehicle to start his visit to complete a basic establish care visit but I get it, everyone is just doing the best with what they have right now; hopefully things will improve soon. All in all, still a great vet and I will continue to take my animals here.

I cannot speak highly enough of Schoolcraft Veterinary Clinic and staff! My family and I have been taking our furry kiddos here for 22+ years, and for good reason -- we have never once had a complaint! The doctor and staff are all knowledgeable, courteous, professional, helpful, attentive, kind, empathetic...I could go on and on singing their praises for days. I have enjoyed seeing Cindy in particular for years -- you just know when you encounter a true animal lover, and I don't have the words to fully express how much I appreciate her warmth and kindness each time I see her.As an aside during these unprecedented times: please, please do not take your COVID frustrations out on this staff. They are just as upset and stressed about this new way of living as we are, and they're doing their absolute best every day to make sure our beloved furry family members are receiving the best of care while keeping you and themselves healthy. I for one am 100% happy waiting an extra 30-45 minutes for my appointment if it means I can go away knowing my pets are healthy, happy, and well taken care of.Long story short: This is by far and away the best veterinary practice in the area (I moved away to NYC for a few years and my biggest complaint was not being able to find a vet nearly as wonderful!), and if you're lucky enough to be able to be seen by them, please try to remember to be patient and grateful! Your pets will thank you for it :)

We travel about 40 minutes to get there for our cat's care. It is worth the drive. The doctors and assistants are so caring and helpful. Our cat was near death and they helped me bring her to life. I am happy to ho there!

I have a dog with an autoimmune disease so we have visited the vet at least once a month for the past 2 years. (My family and I have also been bringing our dogs here for 15 years). The staff is amazing and my dog loves going and seeing everyone. Dr. Tracy is very kind and is great with Finnegan and me. She explains things in a way I understand and I can tell she cares. I highly recommend this office.

I needed to prove my cat had been neutered. The technician I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating. These docs have to be close to 10 years old and she found them right away and emailed them over within minutes.

Posted a 5 star review 3 years ago. Had gone to them for many years; but over the last couple of years have been increasingly disappointed. The biggest (and most expensive) issue was their failure to accurately diagnose a third eyelid issue over numerous visits, but which was immediately diagnosed by another vet. My dog suffered for more than a month while the head vet maintained that she just couldn't see what the problem was. We paid for many visits and several medicines. There have been a number of subtle but cumulatively concerning things we observed over the last couple years that have finally made us leave this practice.

The staff is friendly and the lowest prices in Kalamazoo county. My only complaint is they are notoriously behind schedule and it seems like sometimes they book too many appointment in a day. At my last visit they were 45 minutes late and did not apologize for the wait. I will continue to go to them for the low prices and quality of care.

This is where we take our dogs and always get good service here. I recently called because my dog had a bad cut on her leg and I was hoping to get her in quickly and kinda of last minute because here leg swelled up really bad. They were not able to get me in when I called on a Friday morning. I was hoping for a Saturday appointment but they were not able to get me in last minute. But they have been accommodating in the past.

Took care of our Tucker when he come in for his neuter surgery. Called at the end of the day to keep us up to date and tell us surgery went well. Gave us everything we needed so Tucker can have a great recovery at home (including e-collar). The prices are not bad either, surgery is at least $100 cheaper vs Portage (what you get for a small town vet). They are pros at the whole COVID 19 thing, seems like they got a good system down pat. Definitely the rest of our dogs here for their annual vaccinations/physicals.

Didn't like the fact to get a shot they charged me an office visit, when they didn't even check her out. I sat in my car they came and got her she was gone 5min and back and charged me for office visit & shot. Don't mind the shot but don't charge me something just to charge it because you can.

Had an appointment, which I showed up 5 minutes early. I called to let them know I had arrived and which parking spot I was waiting. After 1.5 hours, I left my car to approach a worker that had returned a pet to an owner. As I approached and tried to get workers attention, she looked briefly at me and went back in building without acknowledging (I was 15 feet in front of her). I went back to my car and tried calling, but at this point it was after hours and could only leave message. Finally, another worker exited building and I was able to get her attention. After explaining my situation, she apologized and stated she was only a cleaner, but would let the staff know. Staff did apologize when they came out 15 minutes later to get my pet. Very frustrating experience as I followed their procedure and they never provided an explanation to what happened.

Always slow average wait time past appointment time is 20 minutes. Had my dog spade 11 days ago that went good. Took him back today to have sutures taken out and low and behold they glued it. How can you not know if you glued or sutured an incision? Won't ever be back wastes to much of my time and guess can't pay attention to detail.

Love this place. I have always taken my small doggies here. Good service & they care about your animals. They always fully answer my questions and never treat me like an assembly line, which means a lot to me.
