I went into Dollar General in Sanford Michigan this evening. I had my 9 year old daughter with me. When we walked up to the store we walked through people standing right out side of the door smoking. I went in and picked out my items went to the self check out. I didn’t see a cashier and just thought they was out stocking shelves. I headed out the door through the cloud of smoke again. This time I noticed it was all employees. I always try to support our local stores. I will not be going into this store any more.They could at least have stepped out of the path of the door. I’m thankful we have Food Pride in our lovely town.

I purchased ornament storage containers directly above a 70% off sign. At the checkout I questioned the price when it was rang up. I was told by the store manager some things are 50% and some things were 70%. No explanation, no apology. As you can see I went back and took pictures of the aisle where there is more than 12 signs stating everything is 70% off although there is a detail on the signs of categories. Storage containers aren't in any of the categories nor is there a sign stating that storage containers are only 50% off.

Staff is always helpful and friendly . A customer was complaining she was over charged wanted the Michigan over charged payment so cashier called management to ensure she did so correctly she had never had to do it and while she was on phone customer said yes been here to collect my $5 three times this month. i Told customer to find a new hobby . cashier's here are great they smile and help and sometimes,lines,are long but ive seen it empty then 5 people all at once they keep smiling and are like us trying to make a living. good store great staff much cleaner then prior years. why complain about a wait in line when you return everyday must be some reason you keep stopping .Keep smiling cashier's your doing a good job .

Would give less, but doesn't allow review. Dissucussing before my change was given back to me we used the same hand and fingers to wipe her noise, and didnt bother using sanitizer, said something but was blown off, with or without this pandemic it is still gross!

I don't know what's going on with Dollar general's right now but they don't keep things in stock or just have too much stuff packed into a little store. When you live with in a 10 mile radius of 6 dollar general stores one is bound to have what you need but every store has more stock on the carts sitting in the isle ways of the store the isle's themselves are just too small and narrow. And all are completely unorganized. This in particular store happened to be the same as all the ones around me, and this was 30 miles from home.

Some employees are rude and not friendly at all. The store is always messy with boxes and clutter. Pricing on items just isn't a big deal there either. And Prices.... Come on over $3.00 for a Gallon of milk. I would rather take the trip to Midland or Clare.

It's an ok store. Would be much better if they had more cashiers when the store is busy. There is always a mile long line and one cashier working when I stop in. Stock is always in a disarray all over. No organization.

For last year or so the store has when thru a change the stock is clean and rotate better the isles are kept clearer and neater and just over all friendly.My only concern is the parking lot the lights have been out ( possible burned out ) for over 2 months, there is a hole on the edge of the paved enterence where it meets the parking lot that is 3 to 4 feet in diameter and 12 inches deep ( hazard ) and a old Ford green has sit in the same spot for 3 months ( mow grass around the front and snow around it).Thank you.

Store looks great and associates are so friendly. The vendor got the creamer back in stock and in the cooler. The vendor comes in Thursday afternoon so that's the best time to buy it....

They completely redid the interior and upgraded the doors, coolers and inventory. Since the reopening this place is very nice. Great freezer and cooler sections. Nice place.

I hate this store..they never have the products I need and nobody is ever at the register to check you out. When it's busy there is a huge line because they won't open another register and stock is always piled up in the aisles

Everytime I go to Dollar General I am surprised by everything they have available, from pet foods to canned goods and dairy. I was able to pick up everything I needed and at less than I expected.

It's nice having this store nearby it has pretty good selection of items starting from your basic Bread, butter, milk etc. Just stop here and save a few bucks!

Very unorganized. Also to associates were talking very loudly about someone who is struggling with an addiction. The gentleman working the register was very helpful and friendly.

These Dollar General store are to small for the amout of merchandise they have. They all look cluttered and dark. Good prices. Friendly cashiers.

ok,they have had this new manager for 6 months now and cant keep the lot plowed,or cant mop their floors! its terrible! the lady behind the counter said,i have been here 3 weeks and they havent mopped the floors yet!

Store is dirty and they never have liquid creamer in the dairy door. The manager should be monitoring his out of stocks.
