This review is specifically for the pickup workers. I strictly only do pickup because of autoimmune issues I struggle with in big public spaces. ALL of the pickup employees are absolutely amazing and hardworking. A few days ago a worker had to go home and I was told they got a new updated system that day so everything was crazy. Even with all that, they did an absolutely amazing job catering to everyone and showing such kindness and amazing customer service!!

Rude cashier experience. Closed the lane as I was walking up. There were very minimal customers and I was the only person heading towards the only cashier at checkout. Only self checkout was open so I left $150 in groceries since I refuse to use self checkout. What a piece of garbage. I went to Walmart instead. Very disappointed. I have been a long loyal customer and I get treated with disrespect. Oh, I'm a disabled Veteran. Damn.

Previous employee- meat department: don't buy from the meat department, they do not follow code for an example, there is lots of cross contamination, the meats are not always marked within log books so it's just guessing if it's good or bad most the time, most days meat sits outside the cooler in the stock room while waiting to be attended unrefrigerated, they focus on sales instead of quality or hygiene and it shows heavy if you pay attention like for example the tags on the meat were never washed in the three weeks I worked there in the meat department and I'm sure if you look closely you can see the fossilized meat on the tags. There is never heavy cleaning that is necessary because caked on dried meat on all surfaces. I am going to report to health department and other necessary authorities now that I face no repercussions for publicly speaking on these topics!

Kroger is a fine place to shop for groceries, prescriptions, deli, bakery, meats, etc.This is a very large store, so you should be able to find anything that you need. The weekly sales are pretty good, and if you use their app, then a whole world of shopping is open to you. Kroger will shop for you too! Just place your order, and your groceries will be brought to your car, parked in their designated area.

Love the place but it was super busy. Seemed more reactive rather than proactive on their part. I can't wait to buy some wine from here they have so much now! It's pretty exciting honestly! Favorite grocery store nearby for sure.

Worse customer service ever with older ladies working there! They don’t know what they are doing . It just annoys me how they treat me with racism. Get rid of those older and bring some good younger staff. When I see them they have grumpy face all the time . No smile or hello. Why they are keeping grumpy older ladies .

Once again, I wasted time picking up several grocery items, only for my United HealthCare (UHC) U-card to fail at the self checkout, after it had already worked at Walgreens (then the card worked at Walmart afterward)! Because as of 01/01/2024, once again, Kroger is not ready in time, because they fail to keep their computer kiosks programmed for U-cards!! So I left the groceries at the kiosk and walked away! Again!!

Standard Kroger. Has wine, beer, supermarket food, toiletries, etc. Very clean and organized, with good employees and fast checkout. The location is convenient, and has an affiliated gas station for Kroger synergy discounts.

Good quality beef, seafood, chicken, lamb, bison, turkey & pork. I really only eat shrimp or salmon pertaining to seafood so I can't really talk about the quality of their fish selection. I'm glad that this location has a bakery and a deli for fresh items. Although I'm not much of a cake, donut or pie type of person, I do enjoy a good blueberry pie. I really only buy fruits and vegetables nuts seeds rice and beans, also they have a pretty decent cheese selection. Their selection of spices and condiments is quite awesome and a good Variety.The sushi is usually pretty good if you get it fresh. However there are better options at nearby restaurants. They also have plenty of options for dish soap laundry soap hand soap body soap lotion other household cleaners and other hygiene items. They have plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, foil, Ziploc bags Tupperware and Saran wrap. You can even find a few good cutlery items for your next barbecue or grill out. They have a pharmacy here which also has quite a few vitamins and supplements, first aid related items etc.They have a few good stationary supplies like notebooks pencils pens envelopes clipboards glue etc. They have a decent selection for pet supplies and childhood care, but just the basics.Their beer wine and liquor section has improved greatly over the years and I'm glad they added a little bit more variety, I'm glad they have since added rum vodka whiskey and other fine spirits. It used to be just beer and wine a number of years ago. They have a few tobacco related products, of course lottery, and a few other resources and services that you may be surprised to find at a Kroger. Such as a kiosk for the Secretary of State.There is nothing I enjoy about the self checkout Lanes that seem to be so prevalent and prominent at just about every grocery store you go to. I would much rather wait in line at an actual cashier that is ringing up items or codes that I don't feel like typing in and making sure that I get right, besides that usually if I go to the cashier there is often a bagger personnel available. But usually there is a cashier available you may just have to wait. In all honesty the self checkout lane does not seem to be a very good practice of a retail store, as a matter of fact it seems to be a practice of a commercial store or whatever the technical term is I'm looking for. Point-blank if you did not hire me to ring up or bag the various items that I purchase that I do not want to use self-checkout.

Kroger has a good selection of groceries and decent prices, but I really do not like shopping here! They have some of the longest lines I've ever seen in a grocery store and they normally refuse to open all the self-checkout lanes, even when there's 10 plus people in each line. A couple of my more minor annoyances about this place are that every few seconds they're announcing over the PA another phone call for some random employee. I'm sure they get a lot of these phone calls for people at Meijer too, but for some reason they figured out how to not constantly announce it over the PA. Also, the self checkout here is more of a hassle than other places. It constantly locks you out from scanning and says something like remove the last bagged item or call attendant. You then wait 5 or 10 seconds for the message to go away and then scan as many items as possible before it locks you out again.

This Kroger has an excellent specialty cheese section. The cheese monger is friendly and knowledgeable. This is the only place in Saginaw where I have found imported and U.S. made cow, sheep and goat milk cheeses. Lots of different types of cheeses to try.

Kroger ordered extra items $50 that I did not order and charged me for those items on my pickup order. I have tried to fix on site, and twice I was told the reimbursement was coming and it never came. I ha e receipts of proof also. Becareful ordering curbside.

The bathroom was filthy. I'm a handicapped individual in need of a handicapped restroom and it was disgusting. Toilet paper was all over the floor and there was feces on the toilet seat. The store did not have a good selection of fat free or sugar-free food. And what they did have as far as nutritional shakes were so overpriced. I'm sticking with Walmart for the same product for $3 less per package. And when I spoke with management about this issue ,she just stopped talking to me and waited for me to leaveShe did not resolve any issues or go out of her way to even attempt to resolve an issue

Had a cart full of groceries, went to check out and there was not a clerk in sight. The do it yourself lanes were open and about ten people deep. I felt I shouldn't have to check my purchases myself, as I didn't hire in to be a bag boy. Long story short, I left my loaded cart and went home. Store was to close in 30 minutes. Mejera and Walmart will be getting my business from now on. Been a customer of Krogers for over 60 years....

Really friendly employees! You never run into any angry employees, except in the meat department, there’s a tall white lady about 50 years old. She’s mean as hell! If you make eye contact with her, she runs! She doesn’t want to help the customers. Otherwise great store. Maybe they can talk to her, I quit buying from the meat counter, I don’t want to deal with her.

Ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my husband's birthday. While it tastes good, the frosting job was just terrible. Some parts of the cake had an inch of frosting on top and others about 1/4 of an inch. Just sloppy work.

First, I’ll start with Jennifer, behind the deli, who was extremely rude and disrespectful. When it was my turn in line, she did not greet me nor did she even provide simple customer service. I greeted her twice, thinking she must not have heard me the first time, but still no response and no eye contact. So I just started ordering.When I placed my order, she continued to stare as if she had no idea what I was asking for. Then made it seem as if it were an inconvenience for a simple pan of chicken. She rolled her eyes and slammed her pen down to go check to see if my order can be made within the time frame I requested. (3 hours). I wonder if she understands that regardless of a mask, body gestures can still be seen.The only reason I waited until this soon to order before I needed it, is because several times in the past I have placed orders a day or more in advanced and the deli just happened to have “forgot or lost” my order. I also called the deli prior to going up there today and I magically got hung up on. So, Jennifer was the last resort and not a very customer friendly one at that.Aside from Jennifer’s ignorance, I also took issue with the cashier attendant working the self check out lanes, who felt she needed to double check everything in my bag to ensure I didn’t have anything in there that wasn’t supposed to be. I had 5 items, the last item being a bag of grapes. Typically I am able to scan the bar code on the bottom of the bag and go about my business. For some reason when I scanned the grapes this time, the machine kept telling me to set the item aside. When I put the item in the bag, the machine told me the grapes weren’t scanned. So I repeated the process 4 times. Scan, bag, scan, bag, scan, bag, scan bag... the grapes weren’t scanning. When I told her it was specifically the grapes giving me trouble, she searched through all of my bags and told me that something was in the bags that shouldn’t be in there.... you’d think maybe it’s the grapes I have in front of her that TOLD her about prior to searching my bags.From a person who has worked in customer service for years, one of the most important things is greeting your customers and being helpful, and not accusatory, at the very least, in getting your customer’s needs met, regardless of how busy, overwhelmed or tired you are.Apparently that is not the standard here.

I want to publicly thank a beautiful Angel who works at Kroger on State for helping me last night.Her name is Bettina.I was doing a big Instacart shop for a customer and I had two carts of groceries. First Bettina insisted on helping me take the carts out to my car, then when I was done putting the groceries in my trunk, I got in my driver seat only to find that my phone was missing so I couldn’t get to the customers address.I searched everywhere and even asked a nice couple who pulled up beside me to call my phone but it was on vibrate so I could not hear it.I went inside to see if it was at the register that I checked out at but it wasn’t, and Bettina handed me her phone to take back out so I could call my number over and over listening for the vibration.I was in panic mode by then and she came back out and searched my car with me. She kept me calm and was just so kind.❤️About an hour after I lost it I finally found it in the bottom of one of the customers grocery bags it must’ve fell into.This young woman has a heart of gold and renewed my faith in our younger generation. Give her a big raise so you can hold on to her Kroger.
