The Best Vacation We've Ever Had! 🐾Hello hoomans, I'm Ender! I am a seasoned 5-year-old Chocolate Labrador and this is my little brother, Elio, a hyperactive 5-month-old Golden Retriever. We wanted to use the internet (paws don't work too well on keyboards but we've managed!) to share our amazing experience at Country Road Kennels.From the moment we trotted through the doors, we knew we were in for a treat! Not just literal treats (which, by the way, were delicious!), but a treat of a time! The humans there were super friendly and knew exactly how to make us feel welcomed and loved.The Kongs! Oh, the Kongs! I'm pretty laid back, but Elio and I had so much fun playing with them. Those toys were filled with our favorite fillings and kept us busy for hours on end. Elio got to experience the joy of a Kong for the first time and he hasn't stopped talking about it (or chewing on them) since we left.The humans also took some really glamorous pictures of us. They made us feel like supermodels, and to be honest, we probably looked the part too! These were not your regular, run-of-the-mill snapshots, but proper photoshoots with great lighting and angles. Can't wait to show them off to our friends back in Omaha!Just before we left, we were taken for grooming. Now, I've been groomed before, but this was another level entirely. The groomers at Country Road Kennels took their time, were super gentle, and ensured that every bit of our fur was looking its best. They even got that pesky spot behind my ear that I can never reach! Elio was a bit anxious for his first grooming session, but the staff were patient and kind, making it a positive experience for him.We were a bit nervous about our long trip back to Omaha, but we needn't have worried. With our coats looking shiny, our tails wagging at maximum speed, and our hearts filled with fond memories of our stay, the journey was a breeze.We can't wait to go back for our next visit! This happened back in July but it’s been weighing on me so I need to share. Initially I thought this place was great since they were sending me pictures everyday but when I went to pick him up oh boy. He is a white dog and I fully expect him to get dirty but the amount of pee on him was disgusting, he absolutely reeked like pee and throw up. He was also COVERED in mats. I use to work at a doggy daycare/boarding place and this would have been unacceptable. I understand they can’t watch the dogs 24/7 but I didn’t know it was so little to where they pee all over themselves.

Initially I loved this place. They seemed very friendly, I loved the text msg updates with pics option, and their prices were pretty good. It was overall a good experience… until the little blood sucking hitchhikers he brought home started terrorizing my family. My puppy stayed there in June… it is now the end of August and I’m still battling these fleas. He had never had fleas before and this was his first time staying away from home. Had I known this would’ve been the results I would have never chosen this place.

We always have a good experience . I always take my f u r baby to get groom very friendly and professional. Iwould not take MY BABY nowhere else . and yes I tell all my friends know they that's the place to take them very reasonable prices

Tina and her crew do a great job on my dogs. It's great to make an appointment, but she has helped me out with a walk-in before and I really appreciate it. My dogs trust her to clip their nails, and if they like her, I like her! Thanks for doing a great job Country Road Kennels!

I didn't even end up boarding my dog here. What I'm assuming to be the owner was rude and careless. Literally shrugged her shoulders and said "dogs escape" I have a husky so that was a clear concern of mine. She was very abrasive and her assistant was condescending. I definitely don't recommend putting any trust into these people to keep your pet safe. I'll be sharing this experience with every pet owner I know. I see that the owner responds to her poor Google reviews with the same attitude I was met with at check in. I'm glad I chose to ask questions instead of blindly putting my faith in those people, my lord. I'll pray for you.

Fantastic place for our three dogs. Very affordable care. They also offer a full slate of grooming services. Lots of little extra add-on boarding services to keep every pooch happy. Our dogs especially love extra supervised play time each day for only $3 each 15 minute increment. We love this place.

I've been really happy with the grooming. The rates are really competitive. Best prices I was able to find. They do just as good if not better than any other place we have tried. Our girl always comes home with a seasonal bow in her hair. Great value.

Overall okay experience. Not sure I would go back though. This was the first time boarding my pup and I was very nervous about it. Staff/owner is nice and prices are fair. I didn't like is how small the facility was. Almost felt like a dog prison. There is no grassy area for pups to play or relieve themselves which I did NOT like.

Lola, our dog might not appreciate us being gone but we sure appreciate leaving her with such wonderful people.They're always quick to answer a text and calm our fears when we feel anxious about leaving Lola and need reassurance that she is ok.We love being able to communicate while away.

My dog came home different. More startled than normal. And quiet hes a very loud annoying mouthy dog and for 3 days after he came home he just layed in his crate. He also reaked of dog pee and was all sticky. So I'm not quite sure what happened while he was there. Because when I called for an update all she said was he was fine. The pricing is amazing but definitely not worth what ever my dog experienced while being there. Maybe we will try it again. But I'm not sure. They also brought him out on a pull leash with no security in case he got loose. He wears a harness and leash because he is a runner.Update to owner responding. He wouldn't be under Lawson. My name on google does not match my real life name for security purposes. I know you have a security gate but having me walk my dog to the car on a leash that isn't secure on a busy road was not smart.blet alone me having to climb into the car and get his harness back on with collar and leash in order to bring him inside his home. My only two complaints would definitely be the fact that he smelled like he was sitting or sleeping in pee and the fact that his safety was at risk. I would definitely bring him back if I wasn't worried that he would be staying in a bathroom or the chance of him getting loose. I'd love to try again.

I have taken my dogs to Country Road Kennels for a couple of years now and couldn't imagine taken them anywhere else. They have taken care of my hyper pit mix and dachshund so well. As Suzy (the dachshund) has gotten older, she needs medication and time away from Charles (the pit mix). Country Road Kennels very easily accommodated for Suzy's extra needs, and made sure her stay was safe and relaxing. I recommend Country Road Kennels to anyone!

They really care about your pet's well-being! My English bulldog was boarding during an extremly hot week and I asked if they had air conditioning. They didn't at the time but when I dropped him off they had bought two room air conditioners. I was very impressed!!When I was on vacation they called to tell me about a sore on his face they were concerned about and that he was sleeping a lot. Again, I was impressed with the level of care they gave him. I will definetly be bringing my dog back as I know they will take great care of him.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We kenneled our dog here last year. Our dog came out injured and looking like he was terrorized. He didn't recover emotionally for about a week. I didn't write a review until now because we thought he just wasn't good in a kennel (which doesn't make any sense because he was a racing dog and very well accustomed to kennel life). We have boarded him at other places since without issue. No injuries or emotional trauma since. Please do not kennel your animal here. I can not speak to their ability to groom an animal, but I would never allow them near my dog again... so I will gladly continue my life without ever knowing.Update: As for the response to my comment from the owner. I questioned the staff when I picked my dog up and noted his difficulty in walking. The explanation provided by the 4 people there was "I don't know" when pressed harder the only response was a room full of blank stares and "nothing happened". Clearly something had happened. So this grievance was not aired a year later. It was aired at the time. None of the 4 attendants (adults and children) could account for why my dog couldn't put any weight on his back leg. Since it was clear that the people working were not concerned with the dogs in their care - I took to google to try helping out any other dog owner thinking about kenneling here.

My doggies look forward to their hair appointments. When I tell them it's time to go get their hair done, they fly into the car. They love it there, and they look so pretty afterwards! The little one prances, ha ha... he feels pretty.
