I have used Dr. Gill for the last 30 years. We moved and decided to take our new pup somewhere else. Biggest mistake I could have ever made. Got my doberman's ears cropped elsewhere she got an infection after that vet posted her ears. I decided I was calling our old vet. Dr. Gill got me in right away not only did he post her ears, he explained very thoroughly how to do it myself. I was stressed about posting her ears. The first time I did it, my pup had it out within an hour. Dr. Gill charged me $11 to post her ears. The other vet charged me $65. I am so grateful for him. He has no idea.

I took my cane corso puppy here and had his ears cropped. I loved the staff so much that I choose to drive the hour to have his shots and everything else done!They are very quick at getting you an appointment. They are great at answering questions and explaining things to you.The girls that work there are very passionate and great with your fur baby!

I took my cat in a month ago. He has been acting lethargic, non active, not eating and drinking, fast heart beat, pulling his fur and all the vet said to do was vaccinate and deworm him. 60 dollars later and now at emergency vet costing me over 355 dollars now because Bridgeport vet didn't do bloodwoork or anything else. I'll never go back or refer anyone there ever again!!! Love the staff but not the vet

This place has been amazing and I just want to thank you all so much for the compassion you showed me and my dog today and her life. It wasn’t a easy decision to make but Dr.Gill and his staff gave me and my family so much time and patience the last couple weeks to let us make the best decisions for her and gave us the time we needed with her at the end. These last 13 years we couldn’t of asked for a better vet for our dog.

I've taken my dog here twice and they got us in fairly quickly compared to other places, which is the reason I'm giving positive stars. But both times I was charged for treatments for symptoms that my dog didn't have. Like adding a treatment for diarrhea to my prescriptions when I specifically reiterated that he didn't have diarrhea. I brought him in for congestion and mucus. The same thing happened on my first visit for a different product. I believe they are just padding the bill, which is dishonest and maybe fraudulent.Also, the last time I was there they gave my dog his yearly vaccines. It was only after the fact that I saw one of the vaccines was a 6-month version. I don't know any reason to give my dog a vaccine that is only good for six months when a yearly version is the industry standard other than to try to force me to come back in six months for another dose and another payment. I would still bring my dog here if needed in an emergency because the staff are friendly enough and, as I mentioned, they got us in quickly for being new patients, but I won't be coming here for regular visits anymore.

The girls here are absolutely amazing! My dog is very afraid of having her nails trimmed, but they tagged teamed and got it done so quick and they did an awesome job. I hope the Vet knows how lucky he is to have such hardworking employees!!!

They’re the best!! My kitten had surgery and was still experiencing pain after his pain meds ran out. Dr was very concerned and set a follow up at no charge & gave what was needed to help my sweet Buttons!!

Horrible vet everytime i go there they tell me they cannot give my dog a c section … Jan 22nd nd 23rd my female dog gave birth to 8 puppies 4 Jan 22nd 4 Jan 23rd they told me my dog had 10 puppies and one was on its way out and I asked them was it possible he will come out ?? They said no don’t worry she’s be fine …. didn’t offer me a c section or anything guess what that pup came out the sac and breached in the canal I had to pull him out in order to save 6 pups horrible backyard organized vet the Arab doctor is a joke I called him Jan 22nd nd 23rd begging him to do a c section on my dog and he yet again refused he’s definitely racist toward the bully breed or something pure clown 0/10 don’t recommend anybody going there they do cheap backyard work ,,, btw mom and pups lived her labor was a total of 48 hours on two different litters I made history

Doc was super helpful, my dog was having issues with his throat and I couldn’t afford all the x-rays so he helped me out! I see a lot of bad reviews but he was actually a good dr everybody was super friendly ! Thanks for the help! Hopefully he’s better in a couple days

Best prices. They usually work with you on payment arrangements. Staff is very nice. However the Dr. Is VERY straightforward and blunt. He fixed all of my rescue cats without issue but does not go out of his way to be extra friendly

I had an emergency with my cat and called them. They got me right in! All the staff is very friendly and truly cares. Their prices are great too! Highly recommend! I will be switching to this clinic as my primary care for all my fur babies.

My Franklin absolutely loves going to his vet. I pull in and he gets just as excited when we go to the dog park. Dr. Gill and the staff have always been professional and patient with me (even when I have 100 questions). The girls are always going out of there way to take pictures of Franklin or give him treats. Highly recommend.

We took our Cat here for a tumor removal in his mouth and we have no complaints. Dr. Gill treated our cat and us very well. The receptionists were exceptionally nice. Can hardly tell anything ever grew inside his mouth. Very fair pricing compared to other vets. Very thankful. 🙏

I had been with Dr. Gill since my dogs were babies. 9+ years. Last time I went there, will be the last time I ever take them to him for anything. My dogs are very codependent and don't like to be in separate rooms (it has NEVER) been an issue. They have never had to have separate rooms to get there shots, or their nails trimmed, heartworm testing, etc. The last time that I took my babes there he was a total and complete a**hole I will never have anything else to do with his clinic ever again. It's pretty pathetic when your staff is apologizing for you being so fu*king rude and disrespectful. Here's a clue don't take your bad day out on the patients or the patient's owners I will never be back there ever again. Nice job...NOT

We just adopted 2 puppies. They weren't feeling well due to stress but when I called to make an appointment, we didn't know the reason. They got us an appointment right away. All of the staff as well as Dr. Gill, have been amazing. We really like how attentive the Dr. Is to our babies. He was even willing to stay after hours if necessary to get our babies in for their shots. It wasn't needed, but it was nice to know that he would go out of his way if he needed to.

Came in for tooth abscess concern for my senior dog because I couldn’t get her in sooner. They cleaned her teeth, but how do you say you offer dental services if you don’t have proper x ray equipment? They did do a good job cleaning her teeth, but diagnosis, prescription, and service was very questionable.

Very Unhappy with Gill, we will never be back. Unprofessional veterinarian and staff..he was rude and EXTREMELY condescending!The place reeks of cat/dog urine & feces mixed with the sent of pine sol... nobody even attempted to clean the blood off of the middle of the floor and I guess their “very comical” conversation with one another was so important they disregarded this poor women SOBBING!! holding her dog. My heart goes out to her, her furbaby 💔. Extremely unprofessional staff.. learn to read the room???My dog has not been the same since visiting this NAUSEATING place. I cannot stress this enough❗️ If you love you’re pets do not bring them here.‼️ cheap prices does not = better. Take you’re money else where!!!!!!!! At this place you literally get what you pay for 🤢with the mass load of bad reviews an horrible stories how the h*ll is this place not shut down?!??? He does not deserve his license!

We brought our cat in because he was throwing up blood and was very lethargic. Dr. Gill told us it was dehydration. He gave him IV fluids and sent us home with meds. After we got home he was still not perking up at all and was still concerning us. We took him to an emergency vet where they found a urinary blockage, after Dr. Gill told us there was no blockage, and ulcers all over the inside of his mouth. I truly believe that if we would have gotten the diagnosis earlier my sweet kitty would still be here with us. Unfortunately he was put to sleep because the toxins from not urinating was too much for his body to handle.Sure, the prices are low here, but if you’re looking for someone who actually cares about your pet, look elsewhere.

Do not ever take any of your animals to Bridgeport emergency vet. I rescued a kitten that was just 5 weeks old and 1 pound. Someone had tried to cut her tail off. I took her in and all they did was attempt to glue it together when it was clearly already rotting. Then he gave her shots. She was fine before the shots aside from her tail. $149 and an hour or so after I got her home she basically went lifeless. She couldn't walk. She couldn't hold her head up. She would just flop over. Pretty sure she started seizing. Took her back and they said she was having a hard time breathing so put her on oxygen. No change. Said she wouldn't make it. Asked if I wanted to take her home to let her die. Why would I want her to suffer anymore then she already had?! So I told them to euthanize her. It took them forever just to do that. They didn't let me stay with her and then had the audacity to charge us another $40.I strongly believe it was the shots that did that to her. As a vet he should have known. She was too young and too underweight or she had an allergic reaction but you people can come up with whatever excuses you have to help you sleep at night knowing you killed that baby.RIP Miracle.I didn't have you for long but you gave me a reason to get out of bed taking care of you. I love you and I'm going to miss you so much. Thank you for saving me. I'm so sorry I couldn't do the same for you.

These people are absolute blessings. My kitty became very sick and I was worried she wasn't going to make it if I didn't get her some medicine over the weekend. Not only was I able to get her in right away on Saturday, but the staff was so kind and understanding when it took me over 30 minutes longer to get there than I expected. She got her shot, a course of Prednisone and anti-viral powder for *all* of my cats for a paltry $150. This was less than I've ever spent at a vet and for the amount and quality of care it's almost beyond belief. I can't recommend Dr. Gill enough. God bless him and his staff!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I first thought they were great….after 4 visits and 10 months later and 3 Cytopoint injections ($98 each). Her hair started falling out!! She lost 3.5lbs. They told me it was part of the process. NOT. He NEVER did blood work on her. It was her Thyroid. Not allergies.To add a sad note. She passed away. She never recovered. Lost another 3 lbs. 💔

I am very thankful to Bridgeport Animal Hospital. My son picked up a kitten on his way home from work. It was supposed to be below 0 degrees outside that night so he couldn't just leave her. Bridgeport Animal Hospital was able to get me in 15 mins before closing. The kitten we named Pigeon had hypothermia and anorexia. She was barely alive when we got her she would have died for certain. They were very kind very helpful got me the antibiotics, nutrients, food I needed to keep Pigeon alive along with shots and deworming meds for her. She is doing a lot better and is definitely on the comeback. Much appreciated! Keep up the good work!

If you love your pets DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!!!!. My roommate took her dog here for surgery & they did a sloppy job. After asking for opinions online if her incision looked fine to anyone else and that she needed a second opinion bc she’s never seen any of her pets come home with an incision that looked as bad as this did and she did not want to break the bank if it was just an overreaction, and immediately hundreds of people said that it did not look okay and that they were shocked.. her incision looked crooked red and extremely tight…among everyone saying that she needs to go to the ER several other people reached out saying that they had had similar problems with this place or worse…complete horror stories.. after hearing what many people had to say we checked out the reviews on here & it left us mortified… We called her primary vet and they too agreed that it did not look well..and that if anything gets worse to take her into the ER if she could not get in there. If we would have seen these awful reviews or even heard the problems people had here we would NOT HAVE BROUGHT HER HERE!!!The day she brought in the dog to get the stitches out the techs were extremely sweet and helpful, but gill was rude & accused her of spreading “misinformation” and “starting things” online to essentially make him look bad.. and threw in “Ik your a younger women and it’s easy to say bad things about people” as if that had anything to do with what happened ???????? He assured her that “you can’t get any better than this” when she literally had photos, another vets opinion along with hundreds of people voicing the experiences they had with him…That was the most unprofessional encounter We’ve ever had with a “medical professional”.. our dog thankfully has recovered “well” but we cannot express how disappointed we are, with not only our dog but the many many people he has done wrongly.. we will NEVER be back… awful

The office staff is very nice and they are accommodating. When I took my Lexie there, they had given me the meds and some food to try, I told them just one can as she doesn’t do well with wet food. Well that wet food worked great for my senior dog. I called to get a script written which they did but they also gave me two cans to hold me over. They left it outside for me as I work till 5:30pm during the week. I appreciate your kindness and understanding.

I have been taking my Chihuahua here since 2008. I always get great service. My dog has had ruptured glands on two occasions and Dr. Gill and his staff were available for my dog's emergency on the weekend. My dog has also had issues with his teeth (Chihuahuas tend to have bad teeth) and he had to have some removed and a cleaning and he hasn't had any issues since. (going in for another cleaning in a few weeks). In August of 2017 my baby was severely ill barely moving and after his round of meds he was running around like a pup! My dog is at least twelve years old! He was a few years old when I got him. A few people left reviews saying they were treated rudely, I have never experienced any rudeness from Dr. Gill or his staff. Also they can get extremely busy most especially around license renewal time and I have seen this office handle the extreme demands of pet owners extremely well when I have had to take my dog in around their most busy time. I would recommend this office to any pet owner and they have later hours for those of us who can't make it in before 5 pm!

girls are nice, dr gill VERY unprofessional. has misdiagnosed multiple of me and peoples i know animals. i feel bad for the girls working there because he has them working on literal windows 7 and is RUDE to them and customers. he is very money hungry and we will be transferring to a new vet. save your money and tears!!!
