Very clean and well kept. Healthy fish, plants. Other than Pruess pets in Lansing this is the nicest fish/aquarium store I’ve ever been in. Good prices too. They carry products other pet stores don’t. Especially if you’re serious about the hobby you gotta check it out in here.

We recently after 15 years got back into saltwater reef tank and there has been a lot of change since then, but I have to say the service at this Saginaw store has been awesome. We have mainly dealt with Brandon and he has been so patient and helpful guiding us. it’s now the only Store I could recommend thank you again Brandon for all your help

They don't replace fish that die in less than 24 hours after purchasing or offer maybe a discount on next purchase would not recommend never going back will take my business elsewhere

The people here are awesome! They're kind and knowledgeable. The fish are healthy and they have a great variety of both fresh and salt water fish. Most of their fish are priced very reasonable. I really really wanted to give them 5 stars but I believe they're products are way over priced. But at the same time, they don't sell junk.

This is by far the best fish store in the area. Clean tanks, healthy fish, beautiful corals, and very reasonably priced. The staff is so helpful! I don't know her name, but the Gal who works there is the best "fish person " I have ever seen.

Absolutely loved everything they have to offer. Always healthy fish and very very clean tanks. Employees are exceptional and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for pond equipment, fish, tank supplies, advice, and entertainment. I say entertainment because I literally can just go here and enjoy looking at all the fish and things they have to offer.

I am an avid saltwater hobbyist and I am extremely pleased to have a local store like Blue Thumb that I can trust and support. The variety of fish and corals they have in stock is satisfying, but more so, everything is healthy, eating, and pest free. Every fish that I have purchased so far was eating the same day I acclimated them into my system. Every coral that I have bought has also thrived without issue. What's even better is the fact that they will price match major online retailers!Livestock aside, they also have a wide selection of dry goods. Supplements, equipment, accessories and aqua scaping materials are plentiful while remaining organized. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend

The best fish store in town and the best variety. They are definitely worth what you pay for the fish. Service can be a little slow do to having minimal staff but eventually they'll get you what you're looking for. Very very knowledgeable about the fish they carry as well.

Very well stocked for pond supplies including koi and goldfish for your pond. Note, the fish arrive in the spring so if you want the best selection get there early. Also, the staff are very knowledgeable so don't hesitate to ask them for help.

I came into Blue Thumb wanting to start a planted aquarium, but having very little clue what I was doing. Kip was so patient and kind, and answered the mountain of questions I had. My aquarium is off to a great start, and we've since been back to pick up a few more things and had just as great of an experience. They really provide a level of customer service that shows their knowledge and passion for the hobby; I won't go anywhere else for my aquarium needs!

By far, the best coral selection in the region, unless you want to drive all the way down to Lansing ( to Pruss Pets) you wont find a better selection. Staff is extremely knowledgeable, not like other stores in the area that have kids running things who don't have a clue about half the stuff they carry.

Surprising place to find fish of all kinds. Was immaculately clean. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Didn't get around to all the rest of the retail side of things for live rocks and fish food. But seemed well stocked on everything. Only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars. Definitely will bump up if I get to go back when I dont have a waddle.

First time to Blue Thumb and it will NOT be my last! They have the highest quality aquatic plants I have ever seen. Their Koi are gorgeous, healthy with a stunning array of colors! Went here for the first time today and wow, i am blown away. This is one of the best fish stores ive ever been too and i will definitely be coming back often. They have a giant selection of saltwater fish and supplies, corals, plants for freshwater, anything you can think of. Everything in all of their systems looks very healthy and well taken care of. Their prices for their fish and supplies are absolutely phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and extremely experienced in both saltwater and freshwater and can help you with any questions you can possibly ask. I live an hour away from this place but this will be my new 'LFS' :-) Very happy that this place exists. I am currently working on a planted reef tank and was looking for some more macroalgae species, sadly they only had chaeto for the time being so i hope they can start carrying different types of macroalgaes, especially red ones. They have a huge selection of coral covering every price range, and they said in the next couple of weeks they are getting in a big shipment of even more coral. Oh and they also make their own aquariums there too! They make the highest quality acrylic aquariums ive ever seen i would love to try one out sometime, ive only ever had glass aquariums

When you first walk in the store you know you've found the real deal and you haven't even seen the fish yet. There's tons of quality products and some set up aquariums, even a couple vivariums and a in the back paludarium. The store is clean and organized, even during the chaos that goes with opening a new store. The tank racking system is clean and lightly decorated, allowing for fish to show their true colors and have some privacy if needed. While at the time of this review they don't have all their fish stock in, they have more variety than what you'd find at any chain store. I was delighted to see the betta in a small racking system (yay for no cups!). They also have a HUGE selection of aquascaping rocks and wood and don't even have it all put out yet. I'm really excited to see this store again when it's fully stocked, but even in it's current state, it's definitely up there in the best fish stores in the state.

If you're into aquariums this place is a must-go for the Tri-cities, and offers a fantastic aquatic experience. You won't find everything under the sun here, but many things you can't get elsewhere. Prices are reasonable.My first visit I found a type of Kuhli loach I'd never heard or seen of before for 3 a piece, and some parasite medication I didn't want to have shipped during cold weather. Get there asap.

Although they're abit pricer then competitors you can find an array of aquatic species that are not usually find in shops around Saginaw. Tanks are clean and well maintained. Their salt water selection is impressive. I'm considering a transition, as I've owned a fresh water tank for about 15 years.
