I adopted my kitten from this shelter, the director is awesome and she helped me out when it came to how to fill out the adoption papers. I plan on volunteering there this year. I loved the facility and they have this adorable cat that acts like a “manager” whenever people are inside and he’s really sweet (and he can be adopted).

I rescued a dog with there help & they were fantastic on helping me get her. HER NAME IS LUCY & SHE IS MY ONE OF THE BEST DOGS YOU CAN TELL SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED TO HER. BUT WITH PATIENCE AND AND LOTS AND LOTS OF ENCOURAGEMENT SHE HAS COME A LONG WAY..

They need your help. It's an awesome place to get your forever pet. They have cats and dogs, and a thrift store with beautiful and breath-taking antiques. They have tons of stuff in there, and that money all goes to the animals. You can volunteer, donate, and even visit and interact with the animals. Go and give your love to the animals in the community. Be part of Amazing Grace.

Very caring, loving and clean environment. They are knowledgeable about each animal and will be happy to tell you about his or her background, health, and details about their special needs, if any. We got our cat there about three weeks ago and fell in love immediately with her. She is four months old now and a great family pet. She is blind in one eye. She had been seen by the vet several times for her condition and was on prescription eye drops for it. She had had all of her shots, but had not been spayed yet because of her age. I highly recommend Amazing Grace Animal Rescue.

Ive came here for weeks however today I came here to volunteer but was told I had to leave due to me not doing anything but I actually folded all the laundry, vacuumed and swept the place down. I was told to leave due to a male worker being hungry and had to sit outside for a ride in cold weather while there were other volunteers that was not addressed in the situation.

I can’t thank you enough!!! Last summer I came in just to visit with the cats & really had no intention of adopting.... that is until I saw Bronx 😍 He is probably the sweetest and most cuddly cat I have ever seen in my life!!! I’m so thankful every day for the amazing volunteers who help keep this place going. I couldn’t imagine my life without my sweet Bronx!

I met my fluffy best friend here! They do a good job of letting you know what is up with the animals you're interested in. My pup has issies with other dogs and they made sure to let me know befor I adopted her, which is GREAT! Heed any warnings they give you. Behavioral issues are not a joke!

We adopted our cat, Finn from here in January. The owner is so nice. The staff are all very nice people. The environment is very safe for the animals, unlike a lot of animal shelters you see. They separate the sick animals from the healthy ones. The spay/neutered animals away from the non spayed/neutered. They have a lot more cats than dogs. But they definitely still have a room of dogs that need to be adopted as well.

This is such a nice shelter. Shawna the director of the shelter cares a lot for all of the animals there. There are so many great volunteers who care about the animals. I believe that you are making a good choice getting a pet from here. I’ve been volunteering here a little and everyone is so nice and welcoming and you can tell they love working with these animals. I’d recommend volunteering here it is a great opportunity. The only problem is that when you are done you want to take home all the animals with you…

I volunteered here because I am passionate about everything, people and animals especially!!! I walked in after my appointment in the early morning as I'm having surgery soon and lots of tests, blood work and on and on...so I was late, if that's even a thing, when your volunteering your time, it's when you can do it, that matters!I arrived at 9am. I came in expecting positivity and happiness.What I arrived to is a smell, that I can only describe as a wall of ammonia, it was on everything and I got a headache immediately.It was clean from a standpoint but underneath is probably a lot of icky things growing everywhere.So I never was properly introduced to anyone and therefore had to present my text messages between myself and the owner, to prove I was expected.I was directed to the sick kitties room and it was awful 😞, a small room with a tiny exhaust fan, these babies are sick and should be put to sleep. The simple fact is how on earth can you see they have diarrhea and vomiting but you do not sterilize there room. They should have access to being outside in the fresh air.How bout all you volunteers there sleep, eat and poop in those rooms and only then will you realize how horrible it is!!!I would whole heartly not recommend getting animals from this place.Those kitties are so stressed because the volunteers are stressed, no smiles, no happiness, it's really, really sad!!!DO NOT GET ANIMALS FROM HERE!!!!This place needs shut down, immediately!!!

I paid to have my cat that I got from them to be neutered. I showed up and they did not neuter him because he had a URI.He had that when I bought him from there. I asked for my money back and they never got back to me and pretended to know nothing about it I called and left messages and texts. They basically kept my $80 neuter fee that never got done and my cat was sick when I adopted him. Happy to report my cat is healthy and neutered no thanks to this establishment.

This summer, we spent several hours volunteering at Amazing Grace. The care and attention the animals receive is remarkable. It is sad to see so many loving animals left at the rescue. We will be back as often as possible to help. The staff is very friendly, the place is kept clean, and the animals are well fed and watered. There was only one problem for our family. School is starting so we can't be there as often! Thank you to everyone at the rescue for welcoming us and for all that so many of you do to protect these animals. 💜

They have people that walk the dogs and don't pick up the fecal matter around the perimeter of where you would walk to another business next door. Very sad and disappointing.

These people have the biggest hearts and do so much to help. When my daughter found 4 abandoned kittens in her garage they jumped right in and helped with vet care and instructions how to care for these week old kittens. Don't listen to the lies, they do more for the strays than animal control! I highly recommend going to them and will NEVER ask saginaw county animal control for anything. They don't even respond to calls for help when you do ask.

READ THE OTHER ONE STAR REVIEWS! THEY WERE RAIDED BY POLICE FOR MISTREATMENT OF ANIMALS! SEARCH “AMAZING GRACE ANIMAL RESCUE POLICE” THERE ARE MULTIPLE ARTICLES!! I’m just going to say that just because a shelter is “no-kill” does not mean it is humane. I adopted a boy kitten from here two years ago. He was housed in a cage with at least 5 other cats, who were biting him out of aggression over having no space. He ended up having FELV, most likely from this irresponsible caging arrangement, and died in a traumatic way recently. FELV is a highly contagious disease among cats and is terminal, which means all the cats housed with him most likely got adopted and spread FELV to who knows how many other cats. Luckily my other cat did not get it. Not only that, but he had an eye infection and uri, along with almost every other cat in that shelter. There were cats in there that were suffering from their extreme medical conditions, who were just left to sit and wait to die (while also not being isolated from other cats), rather than being humanely put down. Other rescues and shelters in the area have had to pick up the mess that Amazing Grace is leaving behind, because they aren’t taking care of spay/neuter and medical before giving these cats to people in the community, and as a result making the stray/overpopulation problem in our area even worse. Overall, this rescue is irresponsible, reckless, and honestly, heartless. Oh, and the owners are rude, too.

They take care of there animals that they get in everyday. I love to volunteer here because I feel like I'm doing something good by help take care of these animals that were dropped off here.

We adopted our cat Holly from here back in 2017 as a kitten. She is now grown up and healthy as ever. My youngest daughter came with me, everyone was friendly to us and you can tell they care about animals.

Was not impressed with this place. Went to adopt a cat was taken in a room that had the "healthy" cats. Almost every cat in there had an eye infection, upper respiratory infection or was so skinny with a large bowl of food so must have some kind of worms or something. Their hair was matted and some tails had like diarrhea all over it. We smelled for 3 hours after leaving. Not to mention that the cats were not friendly and would hiss if trying to be petted. They are taking in too many cats then they have the time to care for.

I got a young cat from here, and she was very well taken care of! She was up to date on all the vaccines that s he could have at her age, and she was very healthy. They fed her well with Purina One Cat Food/Chow. She is a happy loving cat. The facility is clean, and you can tell these people really care about the animals here. The free roam rooms for cats are a great idea; I wish more places did that! I highly recommend going here to adopt your next pet, adoption fees for cats are only $50!

5/5 for places to volunteer at. They always need help, even if it’s just some TLC for the animals. The cats are all treated right, the dogs cages are kept clean and up to date, and they care for the sick animals when they need it. Shawna is so sweet and always willing to help someone find their new friend.
