Definitely my favorite place to shop. Easy to find everything I need when shopping. The employee that work here are always so very helpful. Shout out to the managers here both of the men are absolutely so friendly and every time I shop I feel like family to them. Always feel welcomed and treated so kindly!!

I recently moved to roscommon from battle creek where I shopped at all 3 stores. I have never been treated so rudely by cashiers in my 60 years. I live one quarter of a mile from this store . I will make the drive to houghton lake from this point on.

Staff need to be more pleasant to customers. Both associates acted like they weren't interested in doing anything. One never helped to help put bags in to bags into cart. Sorry I think they were rude.👎👎😠😠

Family Fare is a great store. Great service..... Except the bottle return. It is very frustrating that the machines will not read large coke bottles. They have known about this for over a month and not fixed it :(

The store itself is great, but our family has never had a successful fast lane order. They will message and tell you there's an item or two out of stock, then offer a substitute and that's great....but then there's always several things you ordered that they don't get, and never mention. It's happened on multiple occasions, but it doesn't seem to happen at the Grayling location.

Would rate higher but the one gray old cashier always makes it a TERRIBLE experience. Always tried to be nice to him but dude is rude and I avoid this place if possible. Am local and rather get groceries at dollar general because of him.

I decided to give this location another chance, after not shopping here for the last few years. Strike one on Day one....the cashier swiped her "store" card so fast I didn't even have time to give her mine, that was IN MY HAND, which she didn't even ask for. So I told her I have my card, which she took and swiped. Does she think I'm an idiot?! What an insult! Dawn had better understand that some of us are Very Aware!

They don't trim thier meat. Hamburger is horrible fat greasy. Way overpriced. I worked in meat business in Detroit for 27 years.owner says to contact spartanash its not spartanash its his own butchers horrible meat cutters or they just doing what the owner tells them

Great people that work there. Prices tend to be a little on the high side but they are the only grocery store in town. Bathrooms always clean.

Cashiers are always friendly, they are a bit pricier than other stores and while their hours say open until 10 pm they ALWAYS lock the doors 15-20 minutes early. I do love Annie though, she's always so sweet when we go in.

David is fantastic. Whenever I stop in and he is working, he is always personable and friendly. He goes above and beyond. Earlier today when I stopped in, he was dealing with a belligerent customer. He was very respectful and kept his composure even though the customer was being extremely difficult. Very impressed by David!

Cashier slammed the lane closed sign down as I was putting my food on the belt. Then when I got in another lane, opened it back up when her friend showed up. Half of the staff here think customers are an inconvenience, which is a shame because the other half are genuinely nice people.

The nicest store. I stopped in for bananas which totaled $0.86…. But I only had a credit card or a Canadian loonie. Lol. They gave them to me for free. So kind. Thank you again! ❤️

This place sucks anymore.I'm an ex smoker but I don't appreciate walking up to go into the store and staff members standing there blowing smoke into your face. HAVE SOME COMMON SENSE AND RESPECT you are a store manager!!! The place never has what you are looking for. Produce is the worse around. Highest priced items around. Only a couple employees around who are good employees.

I live down state (Detroit area) and I have been to this grocery store on the many trips I have taken I have taken around this area(used to live in Higgins lake about 40 years ago)and from what I can tell sure the prices are little higher than Walmart because Wallmart is a HUGE chain as opposed to Family Fair ..I get it I understand its frustrating but support ...I can also assure the Grayling store isnt much better as far as pricing goes ..I can actually remember when it was Glen's back in the day!!!

Super high prices and rotten produce. Bakery barely has any options. $6.99 for half an apple pie? Be for real. The employees are always friendly though.

Very friendly staff but that is as far as it goes. This location is always out of sale items or weekly freebie, and pretty much if you need milk or other items that are normal use items it is a crapshoot on whether or not the store will have them in stock. The Produce section "Always" has moldy and bruised fruit and vegetables it is very hard to find any good fruit or vegetables their. When you first walk in the front of the first two isles smell like mold (Its has for years) it is pretty bad at other parts of the store as well. And the prices are so high and sadly if you go to the Grayling location you will find everything and I mean everything is cheaper there, and they are almost always fully stocked. Makes me sad I have to drive 20 minutes to go shopping when I have a store right in town but if I do take the drive, I have a cleaner store with stocked shelves and I save over 20-50 dollars per trip even with the extra gas I spent having to go to another location. So you do the math. I have said something gently a couple of times to employees about the smell and about the lack of groceries on the shelves, but all I get is an excuse about the trucks not bringing the items? Well funny how 20 minutes down the road that store of theirs got all their stock. Anyway, Not a good Family fare location. Beware if your going to shop here.

This family fare is located in the lovely town of Roscommon. There is plenty of parking including handicap. The store is very clean the shelves are well-stocked. They have a very good meat and produce section. There is also a deli there. The staff I encountered were very friendly and courteous and helpful.

Been going here for decades. They used to have SNES and VHS rentals in the middle of the store but took that out in the early 2000s. Now it's still good with a moderate selection big open doors and all the aisles are marked for what direction to go cause of VIRUS. Bottle return area was semi clean. Employees had their masks fully on instead of below their noses. Bakery was running and food was stocked. Will forever be Glen's to me though.

Staff is always friendly, Id give a full 5 stars based on staff and cleanliness but the fresh produce selection and their sky high prices both take the rating down at least a star. The only reason I ever resort to shopping here is because of an emergency, I'm too tired (they're never busy and lines are short), and the taff (especially Laura) is wonderful. I wish the prices were lower because the location is great, easy to find, and very clean for a public place. It is located in downtown Roscommon, just a few miles off of either I-75 or 127.

I don't live here, but if I did, I'd do most of my shopping here. It's convenient and they offer some good sales. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always. In December of 2016 I ordered a birthday cake over the phone from California to Family Fare in Roscommon. I could only hope for the best, and wanted the best for my Mothers 90th Birthday. Everyone I spoke to was very accommodating and super friendly, they really seemed to care. I was so happy to see how beautiful the cake was and was told it was very good. Thanks to everyone for all your help and continuing to make shopping here a really pleasant experience. Peace.

Extremely expensive. The store is clean and decent, but pricing is so outrageous. I get quick items I need but for regular grocery shopping I prefer to drive to Houghton Lake. Some items such as Coffeemate creamer are nearly $7.00 when I can get it for $4.68 in Houghton Lake. It's akin to being punished for living in a rural area. The wasted money adds up fast in Family Fare.

I give 3 stars for the store itself. Clean store, always stocked, vegetables & fruits are always fresh, meats too & nice cashiers. But the prices? I knock off 2 stars. For a neighborhood grocery in Northern MI? They are very pricey! You can almost get twice the fruits, meats & groceries at Wal-Mart for the same money. & Because of their prices we tend to make the drive an hour out to Wal-Mart every week unless we run out of something that we need quickly during the week.

It’s an up north grocery store. Clean and well stocked but nothings more than a store at home. Not as many brands as everywhere else but is not as big either. Great place to get what you need.

Why does it smell like urine by the cucumbers? Why is everything outdated by weeks? Sometimes it smells like a rotten animal by the meat. I like how you take a cantaloupe thats a few bucks...cut it up and sell it for $12. Family fare is great.

Nice small convenient supermarket. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the shelves were fully stocked (as much as can be admist Covid-19) and the place was fairly clean. Make a stop here if in need of anything and most everything. Recommend!

It's the only true grocery store within 40 miles, however, there are people that will offer to order anything you may want which they do not have, carry. I ordered coffee creamer in my favorite flavor, they got it a week later and are sure not to run out, seem to be very accommodating.
