The regular employees I see are super friendly. They ask how I’m doing and ask me how work is going. They are a huge help if I cannot seem to find what I’m looking for I just simply ask and they guide me to where the item is.

Shopping in this store was not a pleasant experience. The music was extremely loud which I think was aggravating people.The prices on the shelves did not match the prices at the register and were several dollars more. At the register a customer behind us started harassing us (not the cashier) and using foul language because the cashier was trying to sort out the prices and he didn’t like how long it was taking. Instead of intervening the employees left us to deal with the customer and he yelled and swore at us the entire time we were waiting to pay. I can’t believe they allowed that. It was awful and for that reason would avoid going there again.

Putting this store up where they did was a great idea. It's much more convenient for people living in the area than having to drive all the way to Houghton Lake. The hours are great. The store is always neat, clean and organized. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have family that live nearby so when I travel to see them I don't have to worry about stopping before getting to Higgins, I make it a point to stop there. I like to shop local in the smaller towns anyways.

Great locally convenient store! The place is well kept, stocked and filled with friendly employees. Visited while on family vacation to Higgins Lake and was very pleased with my shopping experience for my last minute essentials I needed. Everytime I visited while there I was greeted and farewelled by friendly staff who made sure I found what I needed. Worth the stop for your needs! Recommend!

Unorganized to say the least. I understand cash only, but you can't even be responsible enough to make sure you have change when you require cash only. Then they require to take your change. Thief's. What a JOKE!!! That's the last time I get stolen from.

Evidently opening @ 8 am is optional…. Waited til 8:10 while the employee screwed around inside not even acknowledging the people waiting in the vestibule. Rarely go to a dollar store, this just confirms why. Won’t be back there again!!! Drove to the grocery store in Roscommon to get my cream.

They have everything I needed in stock great prices! Good place for visitors to purchase tshirts and sweatshirts.. large selection at cheap prices. My favorite? fruity pebbles ice cream for $2.

Nice to have a store like this close by. Hate driving all the way to the South side of Houghton lake. It takes like half hour to drive around that darn lake. And don't forget to stop by the party store on the corner to support your locals!!

April 22, 2020Employees were careless with their use of face masks, adjusting them with bare hands and sometimes not keeping them in place. Customers walking around with no face covering trying to Make America Great Again apparently. I won't be going there again until management takes the pandemic seriously.

Hooray for this place. Located by Sharps corners. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. It's a Dollar General so if you are familiar with their stores you will not be disappointed.

Probably the most unorganized Dollar General I have ever come across. Looking for something? Sold out, might be on a truck in the back. I'm pretty sure they are VERY understaffed.

This is a great little store on the south side of Higgins Lake. Pretty much anything you need is here, people are very friendly and helpful
