I have been going to Sheena’s for years. Like most small grocery stores, Sheena’s is convenient but as expected also a little pricier with many items than the big box stores. The reason I give them 5 stars are many. One is they have a great selection of quality meats and their prices are more than fair. I know when I meat shop here I leave the store with more great cuts of meat than I planned on buying.I recently did a little larger purchase of groceries here so left the store with many bags. When I got home and unpacked I could not find an item I had paid for. The next day I stopped back at the store and explained at the service desk what happened and they said they would give me my money back or if ai wanted I could go pick out another item and they would not charge me. They were extremely kind and friendly about this.I see employees ask physically limited customers if they need help loading their vehicles and often see them do this.I know I can always count on a good experience at Sheena’s.

I had never been to this market before. I stopped in this store for some last minute items and the cashier was extremely rude and mocked me for not going to the right side of the counter (because it’s not like a regular grocery store) and for not knowing which carts you aren’t allowed to take outside. He had such an attitude and I’ve never had service that rude from a market. In regards to the food, I got food poisoning from their pizza. It had most likely been thawed and refrozen. I also bought some of their hamburger meat which I now will not be eating and I will never go back to this place again. Terrible service, terrible food, terrible sanitation.

Had to update my review because the quality of the store has dropped as steadily as the prices on foods increased. I've been coming here for years and just this year is when it has become so noticeable. It's heavily apparent in their shrinkflation where all servings are starting to be reduced as prices are also raised.Prices & portions at the deli used to make buying warm lunch at the market viable, but compared to just a few years ago most serving sizes have shrunk by 33% or more while the prices are still raised (the lunch special used to be 4 chicken tenders and 2 sides for $8.99 but is now 2 """"large"""" pieces or 1 large and 2 small pieces with 2 sides for $9.99, not to mention the deli workers treat the food as if they get commission based on how much is left at the end of the night). If you want a good deli counter that still has decent serving sizes compared to what they ask in return, go to Vinickiers in almont. $1 less for 1 more chicken tender and a roll included. The chicken tenders used are Tyson Chicken Tenders and are sold for $50 for 65 of them. They aren't worth their weight in gold and putting 3 in the box is not an absurd ask for paying $10.That is just my personal example as to why I won't be shopping at sheena's anymore. If I want lunch I can buy it from any fast food place and land under 9.99, so there's just no reason for me to go to sheena's, outside of desperation, anymore. Tragic, I've been a weekly deli customer for almost a decade now. I will take my business to another store offering better price to portion ratios as I can't see sheena's management ever deciding to walk back their policies on lowering serving sizes.

Not very sanitary. Meat shouldn’t be placed next to dirty sinks were you wash your hands. Health inspectors would have a field day inspecting this place. Unless your looking for some meat with a side of COVID or salmonella have at it.

I only rated 4 stars because of the convenience of this place. It could definitely be better than it is, though. Here's a couple reasons:A.) I have purchased items on many occasions only to get home and realize they were at, or they were approaching their expiration date.B.) The produce is not always fresh.Here are a few reasons why we love this place:A.) Their fried chicken is delicious and so are their subs.B.) The price of their meat is very competitive.C.) The owner is happy to order/stock items at request.D.) Their bottle return machines allow glass, can and plastic to be deposited without having to use multiple machines to accommodate the materials.E.) Their baked goods are delicious..All in all, I am very happy with our local store and I can only hope they will continue to improve it over time.

Don't shop here and don't fall for the "deals"!! We thought we got lucky by when looking at the paper and seeing all the so called deals. So we went for the sale items. Most were past their expiration date already. The frozen stuff seemed fine till we got it home, opened it, and every package was extremely freezer burnt with mega ice crystals. It was a terrible experience and waste of money.

My very first visit, it was very clean and the cashier was very friendly. My sister on law just loves the dill dip in their veggie tray. Yes I have to agree just delicious .I will go back to shop.

Conveniently located right next to where I live and can drive or even walk up to the store if I forgot something and need it right away. They have amazing sales on their meet and their chicken from the deli is a knock out. Also their apple fritters in the morning are an amazing treat. They have great deals on their name brand as well. Small business with great employees!

Big enough to get what you need, at competitive prices. And you don't have to run around a large store. Workers are friendly and helpful. You can see your friends and neighbors there..

I only go to Sheena's when I am absolutely desperate, as they are a convenient 6 minute walk from my house. The problem I have with them is their inability to keep fresh food stocked, and inability to throw out expired food. They have vegetable lasagna in the frozen section that is freezer burned from 2020 (May 2022 at the time of this writing).Most food in the frozen isles are freezer burned. CHECK THE DATES. I've taken back countless items, and was only refunded the price before tax. So they kept the change I spent on tax. Even items that aren't expired have been spoiled; I took back imitation crab meat that was slimy and had a sour smell, and they put it back on the shelf, as well as Mexicali dip that was moldy. Both had good dates.The other issue I have is just how little effort the deli workers make, their 7 layer dip is less than an inch thick. All the other pre-made foods from them just don't give a good impression.The major issue that everyone mentions are the prices... Which is why I steer clear. They have cereal boxes that are $8. Don't plan on bulk buying; make the trip to Kroger.

Prices are a little bit higher than the other local grocery store but they have a great meat selection and the deli makes delicious fried chicken! They also have a nice selection of ready to go sandwiches and salads if you want to grab something quick that's not fast food.

My husband and I like their deli fried chicken and whole, roasted chickens better than anyone else's. They have pretty much everything you need, but being a smaller store, their organic selections, while they do have many items, are limited. My husband likes to buy our meats there.

Been going here for a while and love everyone whom seems to work there they are extremely well with everything they do and say. They are polite and friendly. Nice everything. The food / products are sometimes out of date or old but other then that good things.

The deli staff will stare at you along with the bakery people but never actually speak to you and say be right with you … hello or anything else. The deli staff is usually disheveled with a just rolled out of bed look. Long hair hanging everywhere. They touch the subs with their bare hands while wrapping them after they’ve just been on their filthy cell phones. No change of gloves between doing other odd jobs. This is close to home but is my last visit. Everything over priced but always figured I was paying for the convenience but glad to take my $150/$200 a week somewhere else. Make sure you check the dates . The cashier girls are hit or miss usually miss with the dark haired young brunette. Her phone is more exciting than her customers.

The service here is friendly the atmosphere is homely. I enjoy stopping here for formula and quick runs for food! The deli is great and their produce is a bit pricey but it's always good! I occasionally shop here when they've got the storewide sale going on!

While I am a proponent of free speech, I do not appreciate political viewpoints being written on the cashiers face masks. It would be a much better shopping experience if they kept their opinions to themselves. I will no longer shop there.

Love this place!! They rarely DON’T have what I’m looking for, they are super friendly and helpful, and the store isn’t terribly overcrowded. They always seem to have ample workers as well!!!

Great little grocery store ~ a Romeo gem. Always spotless, every employee is super helpful (most have been there for years) and the best little bakery you could ask for! Whenever I order a cake for an occasion it's always delicious and a hit with guests.
