Wow WHAT A PLACE! Today I took the kids out for a sweet treat and we decided on this spot. First the lady behind the counter was beyond kind a friendly. Cookie dough and ice cream combo was out of this world! So rich and creamy! My new fav spot!!Dietary restrictions: All kinds of options!Kid-friendliness: They took such good care of the kids.

Great place to grab some edible cookie dough. They have ice cream, too. Very friendly, clean inside, and a cute outdoor area to enjoy a treat.

UPDATE 8/12/23: Stopped here tonight with my son who's never been to Dinos. I was disappointed at first because there was no plain peanut butter cookie dough, however, the owner surprised me with some that wasn't out. Best part was the extra scoop she gave me before we left. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! ❤️Most of the cookie dough flavors were way too sweet for me, but you can never go wrong with chocolate chip and the peanut butter.

Did the Christmas lights downtown Rochester tonight and stopped by for desert. Nice selection of cookie dough and ice cream. I don’t know about the price debate going on here, I’ve never purchased cookie dough before, but the food tastes great. Owners were friendly and chatted while we ate. Don’t remember the last time we were in Rochester, but we’ll stop by again, k I’m sure.

NEEDS MILK. WHO EATS COOKIES / COOKIE DOUGH WITHOUT MILK?Edit:In response to the owner-That's not the reason I gave 3 stars. I gave three stars because the first time I came in there was milk available- which I would expect at any non-vegan food establishment in general but yes, especially at a place that sells cookie dough especially as cookies are traditionally eaten with milk in America. So naturally, I expected milk to be available. I can tell you that the first time I came in I happened to ask for it but an employee should have offered. Upselling at the register by asking for an add on "Would you like some milk with your cookie dough?" is a basic part of running a profitable business. When there was milk originally it was these big bottles of milk. It'd make sense to just have a gallon or two and paper cups with straws for $1 or whatever. Thats cut back waste significantly and provide a complimentary item to the featured product. No milk -1☆ for me.The other reason I gave less stars was because the staff was a bit rude. They just seemed irritated the entire time I was there. -1☆I can see by the owners response to my review and the other critical reviews that you're just rude in general and so I wont be returning since you clearly dont want my business. -1☆Photos attached is owner being rude to other reviewers.

My girlfriend was looking forward to trying this place out. We get there just after 7 thinking there is plenty of time. The lights where on inside and we could see 2 people standing behind the counter. When we went to open the door it was locked. The people inside turned their backs to us and completely ignored us. We tried the other thinking that would work. Nope. Still ignored. Then sign outside says open until 8. If you aren't going to open then change your sign and update it to reflect the hours you're open. Update your times on Google too so people aren't upset when they come and waste time driving there. Bad business.

The “Party Animal” (pink sugar cookie ice cream with frosted animal cookie pieces) is absolutely a 100/10 and a must-try

Came in last night and loved the cookie dough! Definitely a must try when visiting rochester hills. We came all the way from Canada and will definitely be back soon. It was also nice to meet the owner and let him know just how tasty it was

If you do anything in the Rochester area you need to stop by Dino's!!! It's not just the Cookie Dough/ Ice Cream combo that you will adore but also the care the staff takes with each customer. My family and I stopped into Dino's tonight for a quick sweet treat, little did we know a massive storm was going to hit as soon as we walked in. We live close by so we happened to walk there. All of sudden a tornado warning was announced. The staff was calm and pleasant. They gave us all waters and provided some great stories to comfort us. This made my family feel so safe until the storm passed. This small comfort has made me a dedicated customer for life. Thank you for all that you do!

Friendly and helpful staff that is very knowledgeable about the safety of their product. Everything my husband and I tried was delicious. I look forward to returning, I know quite a few kids jealous of the treats we had without them.Tips: Great prices, so go for multiple scoops. With so many great flavors it’s hard to choose. But if we have to, the coconut cream cheese was our favorite, with monster as a close second. If you don’t have left over, you’ll be sorry. I’ve enjoyed sneaking a few bites here and there out the fridge for a few days.So fun!! And if you were wondering, they have ice cream as well, some fun and unique flavors.

A great place to experience a change up in your normal dessert craving. The cookie dough was smooth, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely cordial, greeting us, and talked with us during our visit, including the owner of the establishment. If you read through the bad reviews, most of these people with their bad reviews are nonsense. They’re complaining about the price or taste.Take a moment and think your decision through, if you like cookie dough and ice cream, this is the place for you. If you want to act like the other bonehead reviewer that wants to go buy “a sheet of cookie dough” for $3.99, go ahead and get sick from salmonella. The owner explained the dough process to us and what goes into making the dough edible. Now that you’ve read this, go on and get you a delicious $3 (fair priced) scoop of this dough

This place is awesome. Ignore the negative reviews. They will let you sample any cookie dough you want. I haven't tried the ice cream, but all the cookie doughs are amazing. They always have two gluten free flavors. Staff is always friendly and the store is always clean. Will be back again and again.

Cute place in Downtown Rochester. You can easily grab your treat and enjoy the town. The concept of the dessert here is cool. They sell edible cookie dough and ice cream. Pricing is by the scoop, plus additional charge for any additinol toppings. I ordered one scoop of each. The ice cream balanced out the room temp of the cookie and was really great together. There are plenty of flavors to choose from!

We stumbled onto this gem while in Rochester and we loved it. Of course I am like most people and love cookie dough, so it was a no brainer. Everything looked clean and inviting and we had a nice conversation with the owner. We had 3 different flavors and they were all excellent. Looking forward to a return visit.

I was excited to try this place. I LOVE cookie dough, however my husband and I both ended up getting sick. I got chocolate chip and my husband got the macadamia nut. Mine tasted like eggs and his was too sweet. It was a great experience and the place is bright, however a one time thing for me.

Really disappointed. My husband and I both got funfetti cookie dough and the texture was strange, similar to soft butter. I am an avid fan of cookie dough, I have found many favourite places in the past, none of which served their cookie dough with this texture. The flavour was also not good. Neither of us could even eat more than a few spoonfuls. Went back to get ice cream and still was not good at all. I felt really bad throwing away so much food :(

We were able to sample flavors of the cookie dough before buying. My friends and I were accidentally overcharged - we let them know and the issue was quickly fixed. The manager (possibly owner?) was patient and explained to the staff member what she had done that caused the inaccurate charges in a calm manner, which I was so happy to see. Everyone makes mistakes and it was used as a learning opportunity to continue to provide great service . The staff was polite and friendly. The cookie dough was yummy - I enjoyed the flavors I chose (monster was my favorite). It is very sweet/filling though - luckily it will keep in the refrigerator for later! 4 stars because the parking situation is confusing, but I’m not sure that’s anything the owners can control.

This place is so cool! Family owned and operated, Dino’s Cookie Dough Bar is a business that’s easy to get behind and root for. The cookie dough, the ice cream, the service—it’s all world class. They even carry a KETO-friendly cacao nib cookie dough that is out of this world! Great job to Dino and the family. It’s places like this that make Rochester such a special place to call home. Highly recommend!

Great tasting cookie dough but the owner is very rude. Gets an attitude when you ask for samples. The cookie dough kinda melts after a few minutes so different flavors have to be in different cups, but if you ask for 2 scoops in separate cups he charges you for 2 1 scoop cups instead of the 2 scoop deal.

HIGHLY disappointing.Response to owner 12/1:My initial intent of having a vague review was to spare your reviews from my honest opinion. Since you ask, my friend and I each ordered 1 scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough. Almost $9 for 2 scoops seemed steep but we looked past it, eager to try the cookie dough. At room temperature, the cookie dough's consistency was awful. When putting a spoonful in your mouth, the dough melts into a floury baby food mush. It tasted too sweet and left a bad after-taste. The need for water was mandatory after the rich dough, but water only came at a cost. The service was good, but we left highly disappointed. Soon after leaving, both of us began feeling unwell. Our stomachs ached and my friend even felt like he was going to throw up. Needless to say but we both ended up needing to use the restroom. The owner's quick response prompted me to look through the other reviews, and what we experienced seems to be a very common theme. Many people are leaving here feeling unwell, which makes me believe there is a lapse in the process of making the cookie dough. It also seems very common that the owner is rude to people leaving constructive criticism and honest opinions on here. The owner challenges peoples experiences rather than accepting the constructive criticism and trying to make the situation right. My advice to anyone looking to eat here: save your money, time, and stomach and go somewhere else. An owner who doesn't seem to appreciate his customers and a product not worth the expensive price should be reason enough for anyone to not go to Dino's Cookie Dough Bar.

Extremely disappointed I did not look at the reviews before coming. My wife has been extremely sick all night with food poisoning and this was the only place we ate at yesterday evening. About the time we got home she got very sick. Neither of us had eaten since lunch and were fine up until we ate here. Thankfully, I got the Michigan pothole ice cream and had no issues. The customer service was great and the workers were friendly, but this place needs to seriously reevaluate their product.Edit for response to owners: Getting sick 30 minutes after consuming your food and vomiting for the entire night while crying over a toilet bowl is absolutely food poisoning. The fact that half of your reviews are of other people having the exact same complaints makes it pretty obvious that your product or process has inherent flaws and should not be sold to the public. Your cavalier attitude in brushing off the fact you made someone severely ill is pretty disgusting. Fix your product.

The cookie dough was good, however a friend and I each paid nearly $5 for a "single scoop" and what we received was shockingly small. Without exaggerating, it was hardly more than a tablespoon. Ridiculously steep for $5. It's a shame because I was extremely excited to try this place as I live in the area and unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Great place to bring the family. Awesome cookie dough and ice cream. The owners are great and passionate about their business and customers. I would give them an extra star for cleanliness. We will definitely be back soon!
