While I do love this place, when I went in the shop today one of the employees was grabbing raw meat with her hands without gloves and then cash and then raw meat without gloves again. The meat on the other hand is always wonderful! But I prefer my meat not cross contaminated...

So far very happy with what I've seen. Very friendly and helpful. When I come back to pick up the deer I dropped off I may update this as I will buy more stuff. By then my chest freezer will be cold and begging to be filled.

They have good prices, and all of the store employees are very helpful. I go here often for my pork steak and meat sticks. I have quite a few different options when it comes to meat, beef pork chicken, as well as some others. They always serve lunch, and their lunches are spectacular. One of my favorite little places to visit when I need meat for the house.

We typically shop at another meat market but their prices have risen so much that we decided to go to Rives this time.We have been purchasing our seasoned standing rib roasts from them for years. Today we purchased full loin of both ribeye and new york strips, full pork butt, pork steaks, boneless thighs and breasts along with hamburger. They were as much as 50% less expensive than their competitor. The service was also exceptional as they directed me to their bulk packs to maximize the value as I was buying large quantities for a large family gathering.Service was awesome, meat was fresh and pricing was exceptional all adding up to a GREAT VALUE!

Went for the first time today, we will never buy meat from a chain store again. Amazing deals and amazing customer service. To put it in perspective, you'd find 4 chicken breasts at Meijer for $15+, while we just bought a decent sized BAG of chicken breasts for $13. Their selection of meat is top notch. We will be making the drive here every time we need meat from now on. Fresh quality and great prices. Thank you for serving our community.

The beef we bought was low-gradeTried multiple ways from stewing, frying and grilling and still could not get the old baseball glove taste out of it.I turned it into dog food nowI think somebody brought in their "Old Bessie" cow from down the street and had it slaughtered, when they should have taken it to the glue factory instead.2 stars for friendly people though

Visited here with my Dad while up visiting (he lives in Lansing btw, and makes the drive out due to the great service and products here). Staff was super nice, didn't feel rushed, and it was a great experience. I see why he makes the drive! I'll definitely be bringing the cooler the next time I'm up from Cincinnati! They guarantee their meat. Never got a bad cut. Have subs a d delicious deviled egg potato salad and pther goodies. Home town atmosphere. Local ownership. Treated very well and they get to know wbat you like. They have ground chicken burgdr that I can't find anywhere for as cheap. Easy to find and access. Friendly place to go. Go once a month for all my meat.

Reason i left 2 stars out1. Don't bring your hog or any type of animal in, got to take it to Northwest 1st then Quality Meats will come get it. Too many hands.2. They don't take in Venison. Shot a buck before covid and had them process it, very good. Come on get with it i didn't hunt last year just for that reason. Your sausage venison is excellent. Besides them 2 items you guys have very good selection of meats. Just please bring back processing deer again.

I've been buying meat there for 20 years. Great bunch of folks. Oh and the best jerky this side of the Mississippi. Gotta try a pork chop sandwich or a sloppy joe for lunch. Off the chart good.

They have the best meats, side dishes, and prices! Everything I have ever tried from here is amazing. The people are super friendly, helpful and kind. Highly recommend their baked potato salad, baked beans and sausage, bacon and Hawaiian meat sticks!!!

Excellent small local meat mkt. Their hunters sausage sticks are yummy. They also carry deli type salads, premade sandwiches and beer. Its a great place that I will make the out of the way drive for. Its worth it!
