Dr. Miller and the staff are always so amazing with our dog Winston. The first time he got sick and needed a vet(shots done at a clinic) they got Winston and I right in as new patients the next day at 9:15am. They were so good with my dog and listened to my concerns . Later, Winston started having stomach issues and again, they listened to all my concerns and what I thought it was and took great care of my little guy. My puppy tends to be nervous and hates nail trims, but the staff was amazing with him and we had no issues. Every time we are there, the staff just absolutely love on Winston. The prices are very reasonable and Dr. Miller has always explained prices and procedures before doing anything. I’ve even called to ask about certain foods, dog food toppers based on age, etc and the lady was so kind, helpful, and reassuring about everything we were buying and giving our dog. I always recommend this vet. They are great.

We followed Dr. Todd to Remus (from White Cloud) because we think he's the BEST. We have 2 dogs and he has cared for them (&other dogs) for many years.Personable, knowledgeable & an all around great veterinarian, we're pleased to have him care for our dogs. From vaccines to surgery, he's been there for our little fur family.Very caring and professional staff also. Thanks again Dr. Todd

I had the vet out for a farm call. Everything went great. Tried the following year to get another for 6 months. Then was told they no longer do farm calls in my area. The one visit i had from them they were great. I just don't understand why they would do that. I was unable to find any other vets in the area. I would give more stars but don't feel like I should. I hope others have better experiences with them.

I am a former client of Healthy Acres. Recently, one of my dogs woke up with red, irritated eye. Not a huge deal, but certainly concerning. I was able to get an appointment for the next afternoon, but after a couple hours, the eye swelled completely shut. I called back and asked if they could work her in that day, but was told in no uncertain terms that my only option was to take her to an ER clinic in Rockford or East Lansing. Most small town clinics bend over backwards to help their clients in a time of crisis. Somehow, they manage to find a spare 10 minutes in their day to see an animal in need. Not this one. Within a couple hours, I was able to get her into a clinic in Big Rapids who had never seen her before. They checked her all out, gave us some drops and a day later, she was back to her playful self. It literally took less than 10 minutes and yet Healthy Acres couldn’t do anything to help us because they were too busy. I texted to let them know they could cancel the appointment that I set up for the next day and told them their response to my dilemma had been unacceptable, and that I would not be bringing any of my dogs back to the clinic - ever. The rude and inflexible office attendant that had told me to take the dog to ER texted that she would be happy to send my dogs’ medical records to the new clinic. No, “Sorry to see you go,” or “What can we do to make you change your mind?” No, “Thank you for your previous business with us.” Just basically a big passive aggressive “screw you.” Terrible customer service in every aspect of the term.

If you p*** off the staff in any way, they will fire you as a client without talking to you or giving you a reason, especially after they have collected a large amount of money for surgery. I am a breeder and I had a question about vaccinations. They got angry did not tell me. Took my dog in for a neuter surgery and the very next day. I received a copy of all of my vet records. For all of my dogs and a letter, discontinuing service to me and all of my pets. I would never take or recommend that anyone go to this vet practice based on their lack of professionalism and adulthood. Also my rating for this vet is a negative five.

I recently moved back to the area and do not have an actual vet yet. My dog Railgon got into it with a porcupine around 9pm. No Emergency vets that were open were able to see her. Unfortunately I had to leave the quills in her face until the next morning :(.I tried contacting the two closest vets to my house, but neither would see her bc they weren't accepting new clients.A friend of mine recommended Healthy Acres and I called them right at 9am when they opened.Brook answered and was very understanding, after speaking with the vet she set me up with an appt that morning.I have a very large dog and she is aggressive with strangers and also had issues with both my previous vets. Healthy Acres, again, was very understanding and worked with me to make sure everyone was safe and I felt comfortable.Railgon gets fed according to Rotational Monofeeding. RMF is based on the bodies ability to heal itself and I do not use any medications and follow a species appropriate diet. Vets sometimes are against the idea of not using medications, but when I expressed that I did not want the post procedure antibiotics or pain killers there was zero issue with my request which I truly appreciate.Railgon was in and out in less than 30 mins. The vet said they had no issues with her which is amazing!I felt very welcomed and the clinic has great energy-obviously my dog could tell :)Overall, I think more vet offices should aspire to be as empathetic, understanding and accommodating as Healthy Acres.I hope my dog doesn't need to go to the vet again until her rabies is due, but if she should require it I will without hesitation take her to Healthy Acres!Thank you to all the staff at Healthy Acres for taking such good care of my dog and being so kind and compassionate with me :)

I brought my leopard gecko here for and eye infection. She had hardened gunk over her eye. I took her in the first time they gave me eye drops and I made an appointment for the week after to see if they could try to remove the gunk. The doctor came in looked at it and said well you have a one eyed gecko it's not any better. I got home and watched a few videos on how to remove it. I got it out in 10 minutes and her eye is fine. I didn't want to have to try it on my own but they left me no choice. They didn't even try. I am very disappointed!

Great experience taking our girl here for the first time. Everyone, as well as the vet, were super nice and knowledgeable of the issue with our girls eye.

Drs Todd and Ashley took such great care of us and our furry family member last year when he was suffering. We all did our best but in the end, we had to choose to let him go and they were there for us again with care and compassion.

Our dog Harley around 18 months old here would not be as healthy today. As common; she loves to chew everything and get into the garbage. If it wasn't for the Healthy Acres Veterinary Clinic our dog may had more issues of uncertainty. With their expertise, our dog is quite healthy today. Thank you, Healthy Acres Veterinarian clinic .... ...An added procedure.Harley had also been spayed soon after her first heat as recommended by Healthy Acres...to whom performed an exceptional surgery too this day Harley will be a returning patent if they have her.

Called to see if it was possible to have my cat seen for an emergency situation and the lady that answered was absolutely rude! Nice as can be I asked “I was just calling to see if it would be possible to have my cat seen today?” to which she responded in the nastiest tone “No it is not, sorry bye” and before I could even say “Okay, thank you” she hung up on me.

I brought in an elderly cat I took in for a wellness check and the Dr didn’t give me direct answers for my questions, I was told my cat was probably around 10 years old and it’s completely normal to be missing all but two teeth. He showed me my cats gums that were inflamed and a dead tooth but said it’s not a problem. They also let my elderly cat jump off of the counter to the ground. Any concerns I brought up were brushed off. They did give me flea treatment that worked very well, but other than that it felt like it was a wasted trip and unnecessary stress for my cat.Update: I went to another vet to get a second opinion and I’m glad I did because my cat has kidney failure that they didn’t bother to check for

Affordable and truly cares about my pets. My cats actually enjoy their wellness exams now because everyone is just so friendly and they were absolute saviors when my kitten got hurt. Best vet I've found

Both of our dogs are under the care of this veterinary clinic. The office is nice and clean and the prices are reasonable however "care", in my opinion, is just mediocre. Dogs had teeth cleaned not too long ago and one of them was put into cage after dental procedure, woke up and ripped her IV out of her leg. Had a 1 inch wound that required gluing and wearing of a neck cone (which I had to purchase from them!) for days. Not happy as she is a 5.6 lb dog and didn't need this after teeth removal and cleaning not to mention extra trips to vet for follow up. I admit that she is a very frisky/active dog but should have been monitored more carefully.I attempted to get a needed prescription filled for our other senior dog and was told it was "in process". Days went by, several calls to the office and still prescription was not called in. I was told they "are very busy" and Dr Miller would not fill Rx until he evaluated her. The medication needed is pretty much life-saving for our dog so I was NOT happy that he wouldn't allow refill as she had an appointment already scheduled months ago for the following week!We took both dogs in recently for their check ups and vaccinations. Dr Miller (male) is not very personable either to humans or my dogs. Previous vet (Dr Brody in Greenville now retired) ALWAYS showed care and warmth toward our dogs and took her time to examine them thoroughly. Dr. Miller did not seem to genuinely care for either dog. He quickly did their vaccines, drew blood and trimmed their nails without even attempting to warm up to the dogs.I realize this is a "business" but these younger vets need to actually care for their patients, not just remotely go about treating them as if they was just their job to do so.I will go back to this clinic and I hope they read this review and improve services.Next appointment I will request the female Dr Miller. Additionally the staff needs to be more friendly and display caring feelings towards the animals as well.Overall we felt rushed and felt that a thorough (annual) exam was not done properly. I see that folks with cats give rave reviews so maybe they favor cats over dogs (or small Yorkshire terriers)? I really hope that is not the case. Maybe, as time goes by, this clinic will improve their patient skills. We will give them a chance to do so.

I needed to take my cat in for an animal bite wound on his neck. Not only we’re they very kind and courteous but they went above and beyond by helping me keep my 3 kids entertained and let me pay from the exam room to make it easier on me. The vet was super sweet and I could just tell and feel that she truly cared about my cat. The price for the services was very reasonable! They didn’t charge extra for it being an “emergency”. I would go back here in a heartbeat! The receptionist even opened the door for me when we were leaving.

We love this vets office. Very understanding and friendly. They care so much about your animals. I love how I can come in to the appointments with my pets instead of having to wait in the car. They take great care of my maine coons and I’m glad I found them. They definitely make me feel welcomed.

We were in need of urgent care for our 11 year old dog who was sick and our long term vet was not able to see him. The clinic was able to work him in the very next morning and they were excellent all the way around. From the very first phone call, to check in and out, providing follow-up instructions and appropriate medicines. Dr. Miller was very thorough and kind to our old guy. He quickly was able to put him (and me!) at ease, determine what was needed, and provide all of what was necessary to set him on the path to healing. After two weeks he’s like his old self! We, in turn, transferred the care all of our pets to Healthy Acres. I’d encourage any one looking for exceptional care for their loved pets to choose this Veterinary practice. Thank you to all the staff who made this a wonderful new experience.

I am from Florida and came to Michigan because my father passed away. He left behind a dog who was in bad shape. I didn’t know who to call and this vet came up near me. I called and they were able to get me in the next day. The vet, Dr. Roseberry and her staff were amazing! They were all so kind and understanding of our situation. They took great care of my dads dog and let us know what kind of treatment we needed to proceed with. If I lived in the area, this would be my regular vet. Her prices were more than reasonable and the care was exceptional.

This clinic was very helpful and fair priced. It was unfortunate that I did have to wait in the rook from 2:05 until 2:45 before anyone came in to get my information. (Appointment was scheduled for 2:15) but overall the women were very kind, helpful and my kitten is doing much better!

Tuesday before Thanksgiving my dog really took a turn for the worse out of nowhere. I knew this was it. No medication will help this time. I called everywhere. No one could get me in til Friday even his regular vet denied me in Grand Rapids. I got home in Six Lakes on Wednesday after leaving work early to care for my sick dog. He wasn't going to make it til Friday so last ditch effort healthy acres took my call and welcomed me and I feel I owe them so much. No one would help me with my dying dog but them

Great staff! They are very nice and helpful! They were the only vet who would see my horse in an emergency and at that time she wasn't a patient of theirs. They took excellent care of her! They follow up and are very comforting. Great office for all animals!

I called a couple months ago to get my pig trimmed. Didn't get a call back. When I called back the lady was very rude and said she said she'd call me back. I have still yet to hear from them. Then today I took a senior friend and her cockatiel in. They said the birds nails or beak didn't need trimming, they still did it, Got into the birds quick and charged her $87.00. not even a week later her bird died. I blame them.
