We've been going to this vet for years... We had to make a tough decision to put our cat down because he was really sick. This was our first time putting down one of our pets. We decided to go with cremation so we could get his ashes back and have a proper burial with our kids. I noticed they offered a clay paw print from your pet... our cat's paws were very unique, he had "mitten paws". My husband was having a very difficult time saying goodbye to his best friend. So, I made the choice to get the clay paw print to surprise him... I knew it would bring some kind of comfort to him. My husband went to go pick up our cats remains. They gave us back his ashes, but they didn't have a paw print (which we paid for) there was a mistake on the paperwork. I guess whoever filled it out didn't check it off, but the price was added on the side next to it.We were quite shocked when we were told they never got a paw print. I know it might seem silly to some to be upset over it. But that option is added to bring comfort to the family and a reminder of your animal. It made us feel as if our pet wasn't important. That there was a rush that they just shuffled his paperwork (of death) and didn't bother to look it over to make sure everything was right before sending it off.I understand everyone makes mistakes; I was also told that was the first time this has ever happened. The staff definitely felt bad and gave us our money back for the clay paw print. I write this review, to be a reminder... to please have someone check over all paperwork regarding an animal's death before it's sent away. Because there's no going back and I really don't want another family to ever feel the way we did.

Jamie front desk was really helpful on a Saturday when having a cow emergency. Helped us find what we needed to get our medication and fluids after chatting with the vet to get them. We appreciate the help.

The best place ever. They love all the animals, it's not just a job. Would never go anywhere else. My cat is my life, I trust them 100 percent. If you love your pet, then take them to the best. Yes he is in his mini recliner.

They are the only vet clinic who would stay open on a stormy wintery night to take care of my sick baby who was having long seizure and needed a vet asap. I didn't even go there, but now I do. My baby is doing very well and is alive thanks to them!!!,

On Feb 6th I had to have my 16 year old cat put down :( My normal vet office was not opened on weekends.I called Country Veterinary Service and they fit us in. They were extremely kind and compassionate.Today, Feb 9th I received a sympathy card in the mail. I was very touched that they took the time to do that.I will continue to take my furbabies to CVS.

They are very kind, they love our fur babies and are so sweet with them! We bring both of our fur babies there and our son also bring his fur baby there too! Aside from being so kind, patient and attentive, they have extremely affordable prices and I love that they are not snooty or rude like many other local vets offices!

I had no complaints about this office, it takes a very long time to get an appointment sure, but with planning it had never been an issue……Until my dog had a life threatening emergency and I call his vets office and am told they have no openings so they can’t help us. Seriously? He’s dying? He is their patient? So because his vet can’t take the time to help save his life I have to drive him to Traverse City during the cherry festival and HOPE I make it in time. Maybe I’m old school, but in vet experiences in the past they were always there not just for shots and check ups but emergencies. Every other vet I had cared about the animals. It breaks my heart, that they didn’t give to hoots that my dog was dying. So for those reviews that’s say they made time for your pet who was in A life or death situation I’m happy they helped you. Apparently me and my dog were not important enough.

I’m a new bunny owner, and my friend has been recommending this place to me for a while. I sent this business an email asking if there were any preventative care things they might need to see her for. I also mentioned that her nails need trimmed, I wasn’t sure if they would be able to help me with that.But the person who responded to me was very short and made me feel like I was a bother for even asking. Said nothing about the nail trimming. They said “Unless you have an issue we don’t need to see it.”Like...alright then. I’m sure the vets themselves are very nice and helpful, but I definitely don’t want to be talked to like that at the front desk if my baby ever needs care. I’ll find something else.

Dr. Barb Todd and her staff have gone above and beyond to care for and treat our dearly loved Golden Retriever, Miles. Dr. Todd was with Miles and treating him during the middle of the night.
