We rented a pontoon boat for Torch Lake through M&K. We drove around Torch Lake and then Torch River. Getting the boat was fast and easy. We actually finished early because we rented it for the entire day and they were still quick to come pick us up, even though it was 3 hours early. If I go back to this area, I would rent from them again.

Definitely don't recommend. I didn't check out the reviews before I rented from M&K, but it seems many people had the same experience as me. They're definitely running a scam when it comes to boat prop repairs. They use cheap props that are easily damaged and overcharge for replacement. They rent the boats cheap, like $400 for the day, and then if there's any prop damage at all they charge you $300+ after the fact. They will not provide proof of actual equipment or labor charges for repair. Having owned boats for many years, I know the costs and labor involved.

Matt made our boat rental super easy! When it came to taking the pontoon out, boats were lined up because a storm was rolling in. Matt was ready right as we pulled in and was quick and efficient at getting us out. Great day and nice pontoon boat from M & K!

Matt and crew were ready for us when we got there. Paperwork was minimal and straight forward. The boat was in good condition and clean. He was very direct with his expectations for how the boat should be returned: clean and stowed. The boat was trailered a short distance to the DNR boat launch. We rented a 90 HP boat and it easily pulled a kid in a tube. Not enough power and/or wake to knock him off, but but it’s a pontoon boat not a ski boat. The accommodations on the boat we’re comfortable and straightforward. Pick-up was just as smooth as launch. Someone was waiting with a trailer in the water at the ramp ready four us. Refueling was taken care of for us at the going marine fuel rate. M&K seemed to have lower rates on their boats due to being early in the season. It was early June and the water on Torch Lake was cold, but swimmable. When we go back to the area (and I hope we do), I'll definitely be renting another boat through them.

We had a great experience with M&K Marine! I've been renting boats on Torch Lake for 10+ years. This was my first time renting a pontoon on Torch from a Marine where they had to put the boat in the water for you at a boat launch, but it could not have gone smoother. The boat was one of the nicest pontoons I've rented! We rented the Godfrey - would recommend! The staff was very kind and helpful. Would definitely use M&K Marine again.

Unbeatable price! Excellent services!We had a wonderful time in torch lake with M&K's boat. It's our first time renting a pontoon. They showed us operations with patience, as well as safety tips in details. Our boat is almost brand new. They have boats with various HP engines to choose from. We just parked our RV at launch site. They took care of loading and unloading.

This was our first visit to M & K Marine and our first to Torch Lake. We had a great day on the lake and the staff at M & K marine are top notch! They did a great job explaining everything and it was easy on and off the lake with their help. I love the way we got to load the boat before we got to the dock and unload once we were out of the water and back next to our vehicle. Very friendly staff. We will definitely rent a boat from them again. Highly recommend them!!!!!

Great quality for the price. The beginning of our experience was a bit rocky, M&K Marine has very poor signage to locate their office to sign paperwork, the office is behind buildings and down a dirt side street. My confirmation email stated I would get a text the day before our departure date with reservation details, I got the text a day after our rental. The phone number provided in my confirmation email to call with issues, I had to call 6 times before reaching someone (over a 1/2 hour period) to find out exactly where they were located, which made us late getting out onto the water.Once we found the office the experience was better. Cory was very nice and helpful during loading and unloading of our pontoon.

We rented a pontoon boat from M & K back in January, for this week. There was a little misunderstanding on our part for where we needed to meet at, so we went to the wrong location. Once we got that figured out, the process of getting our stuff on the boat and getting the boat launched was super smooth. The boat was clean and appeared to be well taken care of (we had boat 8). I’d recommend that anyone looking for a pontoon for Torch Lake consider M & K.

My family decided to book a last-minute trip to Traverse City in July and several friends told us we should check-out Torch Lake, but that it is best viewed by boat. We stumbled upon M&K Marine though a quick Google search and noted they had good reviews and some pontoon boats still available for the date we wanted. We called first because we have never rented a boat before, and the gentleman on the phone was very kind and patient in answering our questions. We met up at the Marina where we received a tutorial on operating the pontoon boat and were able to load our belongings. We followed M&K to the dock site (a very short drive away) where there was free parking and they launched us on our way. When we were ready for pick up, we made a phone call and they were there waiting for us. It was a wonderful day and stress-free thanks to the guys at M&K Marine. Highly recommend and would definitely use again!

They are now located on torch river! Absolutely the best spot and loading/unloading for pontoon rentals. We have been using them for years to get out on torch lake. We used to meet at the public boat launch and they always did a great job of being available and ready to go when we scheduled. This new location is much more easy for everyone. We had a great time. Parked at the location, loaded the boat, they launched it and docked it up for us, and helped us board. Same process in reverse when we finished up our day on the lake. Thank you all for running a great business!

This marina is not directly on the river, but they make it very easy by transferring the pontoon to a DNR launch site (less than 5 min away) and getting you set up. A quick call to them at the end of your day and they are there to pick you up and take you back to your car. Would rent again.

Fun day! The lot that holds the boats was difficult to find but we got there. Loading the boat with our items at the lot made things very easy. We followed the truck/boat to the ramp. Once the boat was in the water we got on. We didn’t use the whole time and the truck came quickly to pick us back up. We appreciated the experience and would recommend.

They were short-staffed busy and yet had great service. Went to another competing pontoon provider, and they were so rude we didn't want to rent from them.These guys are great and the boatwas in good shape. Very clear about the instructions and all your responsibilities. The had great Maps and told you where all the shallow areas in the lake where at.Would definitely recommend and next time and I'm in that area I will definitely rent in another boat from M & K.

What a lovely day we had on beautiful Torch Lake thanks to M & K Marine! The gentleman we worked with was friendly and polite. He did a great job of explaining everything to us including boat operation and how to navigate the lake. He was also punctual and efficient so we could really maximize our fun. Our pontoon boat was clean and super comfortable, as well as large enough for our group of 7 with all of our belongings. We could’ve fit more people on easily. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to have a fun care-free boat day!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with M&K. Booking is easy, they sent texts prior to our reservation confirming and giving thorough instructions, and upon arrival on launch day they were friendly and attentive. Matt answered all of our questions and helped us with the loading and unloading. Also fun, was that they allowed our Lab to go on the boat, as long as we kept him off the seats and cleaned up the hair (SUCH a fair deal!)Their boats are beautiful and well maintained. Everyone on site and over the phone we spoke to was amazing. As long as you follow their instructions expect to have a smooth day! We rented a pontoon for a full day on Friday, July 31, 2020. M & K Marine was so easy to work with and rent from. The person was extremely professional and took the time to make sure that the five of us women understood the operation of the boat. The instructions were clear and very helpful. The service of dropping off the boat and launching it went very smoothly, despite the number of boats that were trying to load at 11:00 am. I would not hesitate to rent from M & K Marine again. Thank you for supplying us with a boat to enjoy a beautiful day on Torch Lake.

I recently rented a pontoon boat from M & K Marine. It was an excellent experience. They were very professional and the boat was beautiful. The price was competitive because we got more hours on the lake for the cost. Will definitely rent from them again!BTW: If you don’t watch the orientation video they email to you after your reservation, the anchor is in a compartment under the steering wheel. 😁
