Was just in the other day and had a horrible experience. The lady who helped me (Jan Nageldinger) was so inconsiderate and rude. She really needs her position elevated for the way she thinks it’s okay to talk to people.

I saw Skye's picture reminded me of are 2 other dogs who have passed. Skye is 2 1/2 lab aussie they sent her to prison boot camp they did a great job my contact at Humane society was Jan kept us updated on her training progress nice people good place to go thank u

This place is not one you want to do business with. While the facility itself is good and the animals are taken care of, the staff is impossible. I was denied the ability to adopt my first dog for lack of vet history. For someone who has never owned one, this is very discouraging. On top of the fact that the women I spoke to was extremely rude in explaining so. I would go just about anywhere before ever going back there. I wish a 0 star was able to be chosen. Worst experience ever.

Don’t get me wrong, they probably take excellent care of their animals but they do a horrible job of communicating with potential adopters. If you don’t have established vet history don’t even bother trying. They won’t even tell you they’re denying you they’ll just ignore you. In my opinion if an adopter doesn’t have vet history make them sign a contract promising to vet the animal to their specifications. So many potentially good homes are being denied. For $175 for a dog, what’s one more paper to enforce?

Woman working the desk was extremely rude but still agreed to let my children and me visit the dog we wanted to adopt. We had already submitted an application for her. I was told she’d “get to it when she gets to it” in a very rude manner- & I needed to go home and wait. They told me we couldn’t leave with the dog and it could be a week or more until we heard from them. 5 hours later, we call to check in, & they adopted the dog out to someone else. Waste of time. It’s a 40 min drive for us. I’m mind blown by how incredibly rude this woman was. The lack of professionalism is astonishing. The man working was nice. But we will never even bother with this establishment again.

A no kill shelter. Gave them some dog food and related dog and cat products. They were grateful!Over the years we adopted 2 dogs. Both were wonderful companions. Would recommend adoption from here and needed financial help.

We just adopted a wonderful addition to our family. She's everything they said she would be. Dealing with the shelter was great, responded to our request to adopt in a hurry and were very nice. Some of the rescue groups we contacted prior to Branch County still haven't responded to us- too late now- we got the perfect dog for us. Thank you!!!!!

I have adopted 2 dogs from the Humane Shelter of Branch Co, over the past 11-12 years. I am very happy with the paring of them with me.The staff is very friendly. The animals they have come from a very diverse back grounds. They are good animals, looking for their forever homes.

We had a very good experience at the Branch County Humane Society, we adopted a handsome Maltese mix male today named Brooks. My family was searching for the perfect pet. We initially did not want a puppy and looked at several dogs before we were shown some puppies. Well of course we fell in love with a female yellow lab mix. She is so sweet and fits in with our family so well. Everyone at the Humane Society was so nice and helped us find our furever friend. This is Marley, that we adopted as Mary from the Humane Society of Branch County back in May. She just didn't look like a Mary to us! She is our precious little girl, but very stubborn as well! The people here were so sweet, and we could tell they really care for the animals!

Jan and staff do an awesome job finding the rescues new and safe homes. Many of the dogs get training before adoption which makes it easier on the new owners..great facility to find your next fur buddy

The lady who runs it tried to steal our dog. Knew it was ours and refused to give it back. Sent him to get fixed before legally allowed to. Lucky for us the sheriff's dept had our back and the vet was reasonable.

Went to see the dogs and they were very helpful to have a dog that's good with cat's.the dog we visited is a wonderful fur baby,he just needs a lot of tlc,he listened when you told him to sit so you could throw the ball.i really do like Buster,he is a awesome fur baby ❤️.

They denied me and my family the right to adopt a dog because my family hasn't had a dog sence the 90s worst plase ever wouldn't recommend going here and they are berry rude and it smells gross in there.
