I looked to have bulk mulch delivered to Sugar Springs in Gladwin. I purchased 5 yards from Barts and they placed it at the top of our driveway 3 hours after I paid. The mulch is great quality too.

I did not shop at Barts on the day in question and Barts is a seasonal produce market. They also sell flowers and other seasonal items such as shrubs, pumpkins and Halloween decorations and deer feed. But I do shop Barts almost weekly during the spring and summer. It is the best produce in town.

Very cute pumpkin patch area loved the hay horses and fun things for kids. They had a ton of apples and tomatoes. The other fruits and veggies were pretty picked over. They are on the pricey side but most of it is Michigan grown other than a few items that are from Mexico(mangos and kiwi)… pumpkins were 35 cents per pound which doesn’t seem bad but when all the pumpkins are huge it gets expensive quick. Also staff wasn’t the friendliest. I asked about nectarines and she said they didn’t sell them at first then changed her answer to we’re just out of stock and then left. So I’m still not sure if they sell them at all since there was no sign or spot for them. They have some cool items to check out in the gift shop area though they are antiques and really neat to check out. They do charge a 4% fee for using a card so just a heads up before going in. I wasn’t offered a receipt (again) and was trying to hurry as the line was long when checking out so I wasn’t able to check to make sure everything rang up right. Just disappointed in the last couple experiences we’ve had there. Hopefully it gets better again they used to have friendly ladies in there.

We've had our place in Roscommon for over 40 years & never knew about this amazing market!! Really enjoyed the cute pumpkin patch, the great selection of mums and the produce market was great.... will definitely try making the onion soup recipe Jan told me about!! We will be back in October for some cider & donuts for sure! Thank you so much! 🧡🍁🎃

Beautiful flowers - annual and perennial- great produce (and baked goods: cookies, pies, bread)- we always stop here after shopping for staplesJust bought a yard of cedar mulch for $35/yard - looks great at a good price!

Great variety of fruits and vegetables all very fresh. Also a whole greenhouse full of plants for your garden. They have mulch and other landscaping items as well. Friendly helpful staff.

Bart’s is the best fruit market around! Their produce is always fresh and the prices are very reasonable. I got some beautiful Michigan peaches yesterday and my first ginger gold apples of the season. Yum!

This business has been such a big part of the Community with their caring staff and their kindness in donations of pumpkins to the school and collecting for the needy during their Wonderful yearly event that they call Bart's Days which is a family fun event for all ages including face painting little pony rides even the local Fire department and emergency staff show up to educate safety to our youth, even a small corn maze. There is so much I feel that I can't give them enough praise for. So thank you Bart's Fruit market your appreciated more than you know!

Quality and lots of choices for my veggie plants and flowers they always carry the best produce also. You get what you pay for seems appropriate and they're not that much more $.This update i found the vegetable plants and flowers the best around and prices less than elsewhere. Keep on supporting local.

Was in the area with my wife and while passing by we thought we would check it out. Sure glad we did. A great selection of produce. For me I got the Traverse City cherries and my wife got some Michigan blue berries. Mmmmm!! So good.

I live in Phoenix and every year I send my daughter, who lives in Houghton Lake, a gift card from Bart's for her birthday. Every person I have talked to is so helpful. When I go there to visit, it is a delight to see the people shopping and the great quality of fresh foods they offer.

Buy all my fruits and vegie,s at Barts, always fresh. No one else in the Roscommon area has as nice produce as they have. And Spring ,there flowers are absolutely beautiful.

This place is great! We were looking for better, fresher produce then the large grocery stores offered and here it is. Freshest looking corn I’ve ever seen, the mushrooms were so fresh they lasted longer then any I’ve bought before. Great prices too! I only hope they are open all year long.

What a cool place!! I love Barts. Been going there for years. Great produce, the freshest you'll find "up north". They carry a lot of MI products and produce. If it grows in MI, Bart's will have it in season. Prices are reasonable. They also have a huge nursery and carry just about all you need for landscaping. If your going thru Houghton Lake, stop in!! You will not be disappointed 😀

Not very impressed with the quality of the produce. I've bought peaches that appear ripe yet are as hard as apples and several navel oranges which look good but have black core rot. I'm very much a believer in shopping at local owned businesses and am willing to pay a bit more but you can only be ideolistic for so long after getting lower than expected quality products.

There’s not enough room on the internet to list all their acts of kindness and service in this community. They took great care of my mom, and I’m a second generation consumer at Bart’s. Customer service surpasses any other in the area and they stand behind anything they sell. Look forward to them opening so we know it’s truly spring. #1 in my book
