I stopped here on my way home from Lansing and didn't want McDonalds 🤢. Gizzard City was an awesome experience! I was greeted by Justin, who treated me like a regular and even introduced me to all of the regulars! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I never had gizzards before, so Justin got me a sample. Very tasty! The daily special was tacos so I also had some of those, which were also delicious! A great experience and I can't wait to come back again!

The gizzards were good but heavily coated with batter.The interior felt dirty, and the seats were really old and worn out.My wife had the battered burger and it was really good.We were disappointed the they advertised hand dipped mushrooms but were actually gordons.

Rarely do I ever give 5 stars out. Joe's Gizzard City definitely gets them. Walked in and I felt like this is my local bar. The staff is some of the best staff I have ever came across.The food was spot on, again some the best. I have ever had on the road. Gizzards were soft and cooked to perfection. The Triple D burger was a special treat as well.

Second time here with my man and I loved it ...food is great ,and it's just a small town laid back type of place..he always gets the triple D deep fried burger ...Kid-friendliness: Yes it's absolutely kid friendly, I seen a sign if kids are underage adult must be with them before entering..

In the shadow of the grainery in Pottersville, the is a little hole in the wall bar and grill that serves some of the best food I have ever had. Famous for its excellent tempura battered chicken gizzards, it also has a great Deep fried hamburger made famous by Guy FieriPlace was packed at 9:00 on a Wednesday. Food was excellent, the atmosphere was slightly divey, but definitely small town and family oriented.It is a bit off of the beaten path, but we'll worth the trip. 3 dinners and soft drinks came to 45.00. A good value for the price. Happy I made the trip.

Have never tried gizzards, soooo I can't say too much about how well they were cooked. We did like them and enjoyed the new experience. Triple D burger was AMAZING!!! Tried tons of fried foods on the menu...wat too many for two people, one that was so good was the fried olives! They were perfect. Stephanie as mentioned in so many reviews was an awesome waitress! Ohhhh and don't forget a fried twinkie. Or Frinkie as they call it, idc how full you get, you won't regret the frinkie!!!! Def a dive bar but that's basically what we are used to where we are from so didn't bother us one bit. Only complaint was the bathroom and I will leave it at that. Worth the hour drive, will for sure be back to try some more delicious fried food!!!

Would of loved to have had an opinion on the food but when the waitress looks you in the eye multiple times passing by, doesn't acknowledge that they'd be with you at some point or at least apologize for being busy and proceeds to collect the orders of three people that were there after you just because they were I would assume either locals or people she figured would give better tips because they had ordered alcohol; you'd lose your patience too. Not a cozy or down-home atmosphere and even if the gizzards were amazing we won't be back

My family has given this place lots of business through the years. We came back to our home town for my nephew's basketball game and thought we'd support a local place for dinner. From the moment we walked in we were treated with disdain (From staff, not patrons!) The first person we encountered rudely asked us how many people we had and when we said there were 10 of us all together we were immediately told there was absolutely no way they could accommodate us due to bingo. No offers of separate tables, no seeing if there were any other options, just straight up, nope, not tonight. Some local patrons were very upset as well and attempted to see what could be done but were just told no way. If there had been any sense of empathy or even an attempt at politeness, I would not have even made this review but I feel it should be shared. Unfortunately, though the food through the years has been great, I can't see myself going back to an establishment after being treated as we were last night.

Our first waitress was rude and nearly chased is out. Stephanie on the other hand was AMAZING. The food was spectacular. Those gizzards are worth the 2 hour drive. Thanks Stephanie you saved a potential disaster with our visit.

Love the community feel. Big Variety of amazing yummy food & I can't say enough about how amazing Justin & Kelly are. They go out of their way to make sure your tooken care of, I think they enjoy their costumers.Parking: It might be a little different but only because they are the town favorite place to go so if they are busy you might not get parking right out front of the buildingKid-friendliness: Lots of different food for the kiddos, they also have a few game machines & You or ur kiddos also have a option of choosing different music on the jukebox!Wheelchair accessibility: They have bathroom for disabled

Joe's felt like my hometown dinner. Grandma brought the grand baby in to show her off. The ppl are laughing and caring on. Pool table in the back going on.. The taco salad I had was great and filling!! If and when I get back in that area again, I will stop.. I might have something a little stronger than a root beer.. as the waitress asked, " do you want me to put it in a glass or leave it in the bottle for you?." I left it in the bottle.. living dangerously.. cheers to the waitress!!!

Just a greasy place. Glorified by the Diners, Drive-in's, & Dives show. They make a deep fried burger that was worth trying once. Not a huge fan of how the quality of the food was, or the gizzards. Kudos for being locally owned... but owners please take a good look at the menu & cleanliness of the place. Do a little better

Patty melt was juicy and not dry. My husband said gizzards were good except they were soft. He likes a crunch they didn't have but flavor was good. He enjoyed the deep fried burger as well

A home away from home. Ice cold drinks, a menu I often dream about. Most importantly, chicken gizzard! Always crispy, juicy and a selection of seasonings for a king and or queen. If you get a chance take it, and enjoy the delicious ride!

My family and I were hoping for a nice night out. The lady that greeted us was very rude to one of my family members. She didn't want to seat our big group and said that it was full and bingo night. We took our service elsewhere and will not be back. Awful experience!

It's been decades since last visit. Potterville was only about half the size back then. The gizzards that they are famous for seems to have fallen by the wayside. I seem to remember back then that the gizzards were more flavorful & with some texture to them. Now, they were very bland and you could cut them with a spoon. I guess with time, all things change. Probably won't return. Sad!!!

A big 2 Canadian thumbs up for Joés awesome gizzards. Well worth the trip. I never realized that gizzards could be so tender…… Wow……. and!!!! The fries are absolutely hot and fresh.Oh yeah, a shout out to the friendly staff.

Excellent, Excellent and ExcellentStoped in after a trip to the Vermontville Maple Festival and was very pleased with everything.Excellent wait staff and attention to detail. After sitting down, drinks were on the table in no time. Sundays, are Bloody Mary days and there concoction was spot on.Excellent Food — Ordered cheesy breadsticks and the 2 piece chicken dinner with gizzards. The breadsticks were amazingly fresh and with the marinara sauce perfect. As for the chicken, the batter was not as crunchy as were used, but was silky smooth and enjoyable. The accompanying gizzards were more then perfect and that batter was divine. A little cocktail sauce (yes cocktail - horseradish kick), sprinkle of salt and a few dashes of Tabasco made them the best since what Famous Recipe used to serve (Kalamazoo/Regent in Lansing).Excellent atmosphere. During our dine in, the owner stopped at our table and shared a bit about the restaurant and an upcoming Guy Ferrari showcase to air in May.Overall experience was what we were hoping for and if you’re considering stopping by, do so. You won’t be disappointed.

Paid for food with credit card and paid $15 cash for tip of $40 the waitress added another 20% tip on my credit, when my credit statement I noticed the tip charge. Always put a zero on tip and write down paid cash tip. I did go back to Joes and he gave that money back but he couldn’t find the check??? It’s illegal for an establishment to to do that, it called fraud and u can prosecute…
